revolutionized my life

not to be dramatic or anything but it's

made me so much more organized so much

more productive

i've always been like an analog planner

type of person i've used agendas i've

used bullet journals you name it i

probably used it but i always found that

i only used those type of physical
[104]
planners um for maybe three months six

months max because my needs would change

i would either be on summer break i'd

get tired of it or it was too hard to
[116]
upkeep like bullet journaling

but after using notion for one full year

i can fully say that i am a digital
[123]
convert not only do i use notion as like
[126]
my main kind of planner and agenda for

my daily weekly and monthly plans but i

also use notion for university work and

for planning my youtube videos so my

entire life is kind of just

in my notion i just want to make a quick

disclaimer that this video is not a

tutorial because i'm really bad at

explaining things i'll definitely have

tips and tricks sprinkled throughout but

i know it can be really confusing and

overwhelming when you're first starting

out using notion so i will have all the

resources and youtube videos that i

found really helpful in the description

world so as i was revamping my notion

for the upcoming school year i also

started to re-watch all these studio

ghibli films they were a huge part of my

childhood and really inspired my notion

setup that i have going on currently but

if you think of my notion as an actual

house this is kind of like the living

room and so

we have the four main rooms here life

academia the studio and career and i

also have a bunch of like cute little

widgets um

these are just to look pretty i don't

know i think they look nice and

just like add a little bit of extra

flair to my notion

you will very quickly see that i have a

lot of like memo note-taking brain-dump

areas throughout my notion because my

mind is kind of all over the place and

so having these like digital sticky

notes really helps me to just stay

focused

and if we go into the first room

life i like to see this area as the

bullet journal of my notion

and so i have got some quick links to my

obviously i haven't done this in a while

but basically i like to write out my

intentions and goals in the beginning of

the month and at the end of the month

i'll just write and reflect on what i've

accomplished and what i've learned and

this is just nice to look back on right

next to that i have my daily schedule

and this is just really helpful

especially during the school year for me

to kind of plan out my day in blocks of

time i've got a cute little picture of

and going on over to the left we also

going to start off with finances a lot

after seeing my finance page and so i'm

going to try and go through it as

quickly as i can so at the end of every

month i like to do a finance reflection
[298]
where i can see how much i earned that
[299]
month how much i spent that month and
[301]
how much i'm saving that month and
[303]
although i really don't know that much
[305]
about finance it's been really helpful
[307]
just to know what i'm spending my money
[310]
on and how much i'm spending my money on
[312]
because it's really easy to just like
[315]
have no idea of how much you're spending
[317]
each month and i'll show you guys an
[318]
example so this is a page from the
[321]
template that i made for you guys

there's a lot of tips throughout but
[324]
basically i like to start off by listing
[326]
how much i've earned that month and
[329]
totaling it up at the bottom then if you
[331]
scroll on down i like to list out every
[334]
single thing that i purchased that month

and since i only use my credit and debit
[338]
card this is really easy for me to use
[340]
because i can just go to my credit or
[342]
debit account and just see everything
[345]
that i purchased that month i also like
[347]
to sort it into the type of expense it
[349]
is and also the type of payment and
[352]
whether if it was an impulse purchase or
[354]
not
[355]
and if you look down here there is the

sum of how much i spent that month and
[359]
then after i've listed everything that i
[361]
purchased that month i like to make
[363]
percentages so i can see how much of my
[365]
earnings that i've spent that month

again this is all just made up numbers

it's an example my spending list is

usually a lot longer

and it's a lot more but i still want to

show you guys what my finance reflection

look like and if we go back into my

index we have resources where i just

write down resources that i might want

to refer to later

i've also got food i haven't used this

in a while but this is basically where i

just put down recipes that i really like

have not read a book since january but

i recently put a book on hold crying in

basically this just helps me plan what

classes i want to take for each quarter

because i am planning on doing a double

major and a minor so i have a lot of

classes to take so i can graduate on

time and not have to take an extra year

because college is a lot of money and

i'm trying to do this as fast as i can

and then right below that we have my

list of all the classes that i've taken

this year it has the class name how many

credits it is what grade i got in the
[516]
class the teacher i had what quarter it

was what school i was in

um this is kind of obvious but but just

in case i take classes like at a

community college or something that's

what this is for

these are the classes that i'm planning

to take this fall

i prefer to do my notes digitally when i

can because i can use this quick find

feature and literally just search up

anything throughout my notion

and it just searches through every

single page that i've ever made as you

can see i just search up calcium and

every single little thing that i could
[550]
ever have written about calcium is right

here and this was super helpful when it

came to taking tests during covid

because all of them were like open note
[560]
tests but i didn't have to like flip

through all my notes all i had to do was
[563]
like do a quick little search in quick
[565]
find

and all the information would be at my
[569]
fingertips i do like to take analog

notes sometimes i'll show you guys what

my notes kind of look like but for the

most part i prefer to do digital because

it's just less things to carry around

and for some classes i didn't write any

notes like for my bread class that i

took last year i did not take a single

note but for other classes like my

nutrition and my biology class i took a

lot of notes so these are some notes

that i took on blood pressure last year

as you can see it's really simple i

prefer to use bullet notes and since all

of our lectures were online this past

year i was easily able to just

screenshot different parts of the

lecture that i wanted because i do like

having visuals like graphs and things

like that having these visuals just

really helps because it's much more

engaging

compared to just like a bunch of words

on a screen right next to my current

classes i also have a little embedded

thing that i noticed in my first year of

college was that most of my professors

would split up the work into weekly

modules and basically they just gave me

all the work that i needed to do in the
[674]
beginning of the week compared to middle
[675]
school or high school where the homework
[677]
is kind of given on a daily basis and so

this really helped me to organize my
[681]
time for the week basically what i would
[683]
do is i would write down every single
[685]
assignment that i had to do that week
[688]
and then next to that i would write down
[690]
what day i planned on doing the
[692]
assignment not the day that it was due
[694]
but the day that i planned on doing the
[697]
assignment the ones that are marked with
[698]
a smiley face are just the ones that i
[700]
plan on doing that day just so it like i
[703]
could see it better for example i plan
[705]
on doing a reading quiz on thursday i
[708]
plan on doing this lecture on sunday i
[710]
have a little status button to see if
[712]
the assignment is completed or not
[714]
and normally when i complete an
[716]
assignment i'll usually just check this
[718]
box which makes it disappear
[721]
but if you don't want that you can just
[723]
go over to filter and just
[725]
either delete this filter or like make
[727]
your own over here i have the due date

which is also important and then i have
[732]
the type of assignment and what class

the assignment is for oh that was a lot

i'm glad we got through it but yeah this

weekly planner was super helpful um

organizing my classes for the upcoming

school year and just really helped me to

stay organized and stay on top of my

work we're moving on to the next room

which is the studio

videos where i brainstorm

very niche thing most people aren't
