Make Your Own Jeep Gladiator Bed Mat - YouTube

this is the do-it-yourself mat for the gladiator bed mat that you can't find

anywhere morning everybody and welcome back to

the channel hey we're gonna do a little little thing for the new gladiator here

if you watch my Tacoma video the other day then you probably saw me hauling

this stuff for the radiator but what we have here is an unsprayed untreated

Barenaked bed right and I am going to put a tonneau cover over this but I

still want to be able to put things in here and not have them roll all over the

place so this is kind of part one if you will so what I did I looked for I bet

man you know and it appears I guess that the gladiator is so new that there

aren't any bed mats out there there was a company that was selling one but now

they list it as out of stock and may never be back so I don't know I went out

to tractor supply actually and found some bed mat or some rubber matting I

guess this is actually oh I think it's about quarter-inch

48 by 72 inch so it should work really well assuming I can get it to quit

rolling up on this end that ends doing pretty good so I'm gonna measure and cut

this thing out it's not going to be perfect I don't expect it to be perfect

but it should fit in here pretty well it won't go all the way to the edges but it

will go inside the wheel wells and then back probably about as far as I can get

it here so we're gonna go ahead make the cuts I think it's about 44 inches or so

44 and a quarter between the wheel wells there so we need one starting off we

need the piece starting off to be forty four and a quarter inches coming back

and then I may or may not cut out the edges and have it come down I may just

come straight down we'll see okay we've got it all measured up this is what I

calculate hopefully I'm right I'm actually 44 inches in between the wheel

wells and 34 inches down before it cuts over here the other way so what I'm

gonna do I'm going to Center my cut so I'm

down 34 inches 44 inches wide and then I should have the edges here that come on

down to the back of the truck where I can then trim it across here so I've

gone ahead and Mark that out this is where I need to cut off the 34 inches in

at that 44 inch width and then the rest of the way down until I cut it off 4

lengths will take up whatever space it can as is what is left in the bed so I'm

going to use just a carpet knife you know one of those sharp blades from a

carpet knife hopefully not cut myself again and and then we'll measure the

length whack it off at the bottom and we should be done

all right we got the first piece off we're pretty long I hope I thank do the

other side all right success now we got to go measure the length and yeah I'm

gonna take a little leap I'm not gonna measure it in the truck

I'm gonna assume I cut it right so now we're gonna cut it across the bottom the

proper length then we'll test it and see if it this okay we have the measurement

59 and three-quarter that's the length I'm going with it's all marked out let's

cut it

okay a little more difficult probably due to my impatience but you guys can

see it right there done that's gonna be doing bed mat for the gladiator back

there so next I'll set you guys up on a tripod we'll see how I did door guy here

we go

almost all the way up there there we go what do you think good enough good

enough for who it's for I think it came out pretty well I'm pretty happy with it

and saved me about yeah probably about 60 70 bucks something like that so I

think it looks pretty good it should settle it a little bit hopefully we

won't blow out as it heats up but I'm gonna have it sitting out here in the

Sun so anyway this is the do-it-yourself mat for the gladiator bed mat that you
