it's been a little while since I've done a currency search and I've never done twenty five hundred

in five dollar bills so let's do it

Hey everybody its Rob with Rob finds treasure and I was looking through my
currency videos and I thought you know

what I've done a thousand in fives and
normally when I do fives it's five

hundred with ones or I've done a
thousand with some tens but I've never

done just a five dollar bill currency
search so I went into a couple of
[32]
branches and asked for all their fives
or at least the fives that they would
[34]
give me and I got four federal straps at
one bank and 500 at another bank so I'm
[44]
really excited to get into this because
I've got some Federal Reserve straps
[47]
here and those typically are a lot
better than the teller straps like this

got a marked bill on top but I'll be
looking for cool serial numbers any star

notes things like that I'm really
excited to get into this hunt because

I've never looked through this many
five-dollar bills this is five hundred
[65]
bills to look through without further
ado we'll kick it off with a toner strap
[70]
first and see if we can find something
really cool we finished hunting the
[75]
teller strap we ended up getting one
star note which I'll check for its
[79]
Piranha rarity of all the star notes at
the end of the video

unfortunately it's got some of the
bank's stamp there so that's gonna
[85]
decrease the value otherwise it wasn't
in bad shape

we did find kind of a bookend here seven
eight eight one seven seven eight eight

I will be keeping it it's not in great
shape and there's not a lot of value in

bookends I just wanted to show you that
and then we did find a Tryon Airy note

with zeros twos and fours
had it been zero to four four zero to
[103]
four four it would have been a repeater
and a trinary and I would have kept it
[108]
but just being a standard trinary and
with some creases I won't be holding on

to that we'll be checking that one later
for his permanent rarity like I said but

only one fine in the first teller strap
which is par for the course now let's

move on to the Federal Reserve straps
and see if we can find something really

cool well that first strap of Federal
Reserve notes uh was definitely a bust

all we found was another bookend type
bill zero to

five two eight zero two five again not
keeping it just showing what I'm finding

hopefully it heats up in this Federal
Reserve strap third strap down and we

are striking out two straps to go can we
find something cool fourth strap gone

through still no more star notes we
found it somewhat low sterile number

with three zeros to start but honestly a
low so number it needs at least four

zeros to start and this one's not
considered low enough and technically
[163]
even that you still want to be under
three thousand and this is bill

eighty-eight thousand 457 so the hunt
continues and we only have one strap to

go to make a hunt of it hopefully we
find at least a star node or a coolster

number in this strap well
fifth and final strap no fines that was

a tough five dollar bill search
typically I get about one star note for

every strap so I should have gotten four
or five in these straps we end up with

only one find no fancy or cool serial
numbers to start no what I found does

have some damage on it let me go ahead
and check it spur on a rarity and see if

we can salvage something out of it I
won't point out it would have been a

really great star note had it been zero
three three eight zero three three eight

but that nine kind of messed it up so
between the nine be in there instead of

a three between the stamping being on
there the only things going to say this

one these if it's ultra rare let me
check it out and get back to you well

unfortunately this is part of a 3.2
million print run there is a print run

below it that's only six hundred and
forty thousand we missed it by one

hundred eighty thousand bills so that's
quite a bit and at the end of the day it

was a tough hunt typically I do find
better than this but you know what you

can't find it if you don't look for it
so I don't mind looking for it even I

don't find it I'll probably not keeping
this star note because it is damaged

with the marking and it's not a really
high print run and I've got tons of star

notes this up I won't find a home in the
collection at the end of the day we'll

continue to keep doing these bill
searches in hopes of finding that solid

or that epic low serial number or some
kind of great birthday or historical

speaking of almost getting something and

bills

18 17 16 15 14 I asked if this was a new
strap he said yeah just open it this

morning but he's already given away
build number 11 we would have had 0 1 1

1 0 1 1 1 we would have had a repeater
we would have had a binary and it's a

crisp note but of course I was a few
customers off because if he opened it

this morning and it's only an hour and a
half into the day business day he just

gave away some of those bills so some
customer cashed his check and doesn't

realize he has a binary repeater $100
crisp bill unbelievable anyway it's kind

of hard to spend these because they are
all try Nerys and they're all nice bills

and they're sequential but what do you
do okay now you can leave
