[16]
So here I'm Pallavi Bedre to to tell you all about a person
[19]
who revolutionized the whole computer industry
[22]
Steve Jobs
[24]
Steve Jobs was born on 24th Feb 1955 in San Francisco California
[29]
Steve was kept for adoption by his biological mother
[32]
on a condition that whoever will adopt Steve must be college graduates
[37]
then Clara and Paul adopted Steve though they were not educated they promised that Steve will go to college
[45]
Paul jobs was a coast guard mechanic and he believed that the part which
[47]
can't be seen from front should also be well finished like backside of a cabinet
[53]
and that is why Steve became a perfectionist too
[56]
and that is the reason today Apple products are well finished from inside and outside as well
[62]
after he completed his high school Steve joined Reed college
[65]
at that time he was not sure what he wanted to do with his life
[69]
and had no idea how college is going to help him figuring it out
[74]
so he dropped out in first 6 month after he left the college
[77]
he started attending only the classes which interested him like calligraphy
[80]
how ever he was not knowing what he will be doing of it
[84]
but that is the reason we have so many fonts in computers
[89]
In 1974 he took a position of video game designer with Attari
[94]
but quit the job in few months to find spiritual enlightenment in India
[99]
back in school days Steve jobs mate Steve Wozniak
[102]
and as they both were interested in electronics they became good friends
[106]
In 1976 when jobs was just 21 years old Wozniak made an electronic machine
[112]
and they started Apple computers in Jobs family garage
[115]
to start apple Steve sold his Volkswagen bus and Wozniak his scientific calculator
[122]
Apple started growing exponentially and in 1983 Jobs appointed John Sculley to take over the role of CEO of Apple
[130]
In beginning they were good friends
[132]
but new products by apple were not performing well and Apple's sells dropped
[137]
now Sculley believed jobs was hurting Apple and along with other board members removed
[142]
Jobs from his position but Jobs wanted control and not getting it
[147]
Jobs left Apple in 1985 after living Apple in 1985 as he was only
[152]
30 he thought he should do something else so he started hardware and software enterprise
[158]
called NeXT In 1986 bought animation company
[162]
which latter became Pixar animation studio
[164]
and Pixar released many popular movies such as The Incredibles Finding Nemo and Cars
[170]
and when Pixar and NeXT were growing Apple's sell were going down
[175]
so eventually Apple bought next for dollar 429 million
[181]
and offered Steve to take over the role of CEO of Apple
[184]
with a new management team altered stock options and self-imposed salary of only one dollar
[190]
a year jobs put Apple back on track and Apple made many
[194]
revolutionary products such as iMac iPod and iPhone all of which dictated the evolution
[199]
of technology since then Apple was awarded many times for its incredible success
[204]
back in 2003 Jobs found that he has a rear but operable pancreatic tumor
[210]
and in 2004 he had a successful surgery to remove that pancreatic tumor
[215]
but early in 2009 jobs health related issues had returned
[219]
back which included a liver transplant in an email message to employers he said
[224]
"Health related issues are more complex than he thought".
[227]
and appointed Tim Cook as a chief operating officer of Apple
[231]
In January 2011 jobs announced that he was going on a medical leave
[236]
and in August he resigned as CEO of Apple handing the reins to Tim Cook
[242]
Jobs died in Palo Alto on October 5th 2011.
