How to raise your credit score by 200聽 points? Did you know that at one point聽聽
[5]
I had a 558 credit score and in just聽 a matter of weeks, I had it over 770?聽聽
[11]
Yes. I literally got my credit score increased聽 by over 200 points. And now, it's over 800.聽聽
[17]
I'm going to share with you exactly what聽 I did and how you can do it too. Let's go.
[39]
So, when we are talking about credit, we are聽 talking about personal credit scores. Many of you聽聽
[43]
guys may be aware that there are 3 credit bureaus聽 that report personal credit. You have Equifax,聽聽
[49]
Transunion and Experian. Those 3 credit bureaus聽 will report all of the trade lines for all of聽聽
[55]
the debts that you've taken out. For example if聽 you have student loans, if you have credit cards,聽聽
[60]
if you have a car loan, if you have a mortgage;聽 all of those different things will report聽聽
[64]
on your credit report as a trade line.聽 They'll report when you open the account,聽聽
[69]
how much you owe them, what the payments聽 are, how well you pay them. And basically,聽聽
[74]
all of the information regarding that account. You聽 also want a mix of different accounts. You don't聽聽
[80]
want all credit cards because those are considered聽 revolving accounts. You also don't want just a car聽聽
[85]
loan, or a couple car loans because those are聽 installment accounts. You really want a nice mix聽聽
[89]
of the different types of accounts that exist.聽 And you want to make sure that you are paying聽聽
[94]
everybody on time. Those are the main things when聽 it comes to personal credit. So, let me get into聽聽
[100]
how you increase that score. So, step one, the聽 first thing that you want to do when we're talking聽聽
[104]
about increasing your personal credit scores,聽 you need to know what your credit score is. Now,聽聽
[110]
many times I know you've heard that you can get聽 your credit report absolutely free. You can go to聽聽
[114]
sites like annualcreditreport.com and get a free聽 copy of your credit report annually. However,聽聽
[120]
you will not get your real credit score by getting聽 that free report. You're going to have to pay聽聽
[125]
a little bit of money to actually see what your聽 fico score is. I'm going to give you a link below聽聽
[130]
to a company called myfico.com. I have found that聽 they are excellent resource for pulling my credit聽聽
[135]
pulling my students and my other clients credits聽 and it's very accurate to what their real fico聽聽
[140]
scores are. I'm telling you a secret but I really聽 found that Credit Karma and a couple of the other聽聽
[145]
ones, their scores are not necessarily as accurate聽 as my fico has been into what some of the lenders聽聽
[151]
are seeing. So, if you want to get your credit聽 score and you want to get your credit score up,聽聽
[155]
you got to know where you start. So, go ahead聽 and pull that credit report and pay a little聽聽
[159]
bit of money to find out what your credit聽 score is so that we can go from there. So,聽聽
[164]
when it comes to personal credit, there's a major聽 problem that many people have already found and聽聽
[168]
this is one of the things that I found. As聽 I started using a lot of my credit cards,聽聽
[173]
my credit score started to go way down but I聽 needed to use my personal credit in order to聽聽
[178]
build my business. So, I'll take you back. Many聽 of you guys know that I started investing in聽聽
[182]
real estate around 2002-2003 and I was a complete聽 disaster. I ended up losing everything and ended聽聽
[189]
up back in my parents' basement with multiple聽 foreclosures and bad credit. I was a disaster.聽聽
[194]
But while I was in my parents' basement, I聽 learned something called wholesaling. I learned聽聽
[199]
how to find people with property problems and I聽 learned how to get those properties under contract聽聽
[203]
and then flip those contracts to other investors聽 for a fee. I literally started making five and ten聽聽
[209]
thousand dollars per deal and I was able to get聽 myself out of my parents' basement. The problem聽聽
[214]
is I still kind of had bad credit. I would pay off聽 some of my debts and I started paying down things聽聽
[220]
and trying to get myself back into position. But聽 I still had a very low credit score because of all聽聽
[224]
of the foreclosures in the bankruptcies that were聽 on my credit report. So, when I was looking to聽聽
[229]
increase my credit score, I had to get creative.聽 One of the things that I did was I got someone to聽聽
[236]
sponsor me. So, many of you guys know that you can聽 find someone to put you as an authorized user on聽聽
[242]
their credit cards. I did this and my credit score聽 increased by over a 100 points. I literally was聽聽
[249]
able to ask my dad if he would put me on some of聽 his credit cards. I knew he had very good credit聽聽
[254]
but I knew he wasn't going to like co-sign for me聽 or anything like that. So, I simply asked if he聽聽
[259]
could put me on his credit cards as an authorized聽 user especially credit cards that had no balance聽聽
[265]
and a very high credit limit. For example, he had聽 an American Express that had like an $8,000 limit聽聽
[271]
or something like that. And he didn't carry a聽 balance on it. Meaning, he never really used聽聽
[275]
the card and he had had that card for like 7 or聽 8 years. So, when he added me to that account,聽聽
[280]
they started reporting that on my personal credit聽 report as an authorized user and my credit score聽聽
[286]
increased. He did that on about 5 or 6 of his聽 credit cards and that was how I was able to get my聽聽
[291]
credit score up 100 points. So, that's how you get聽 your first 100 points. You need to find a sponsor,聽聽
[296]
you need to find someone with very good personal聽 credit and ask them if they will allow you to be聽聽
[302]
an authorized user on those accounts. They do not聽 have to even give you the credit card so there's聽聽
[307]
very little risk to them. The next thing that I聽 did to increase my credit score that you can do聽聽
[311]
is you need to get some of that bad credit聽 off of your credit report. You've got to聽聽
[316]
start cleaning up your credit report. So, one of聽 the things that I learned is that you could get聽聽
[320]
errors or omissions or things聽 like that on your credit report聽聽
[324]
off of it. Because what I learned was the burden聽 of proof was on the person that reported it.聽聽
[329]
So, in other words, if I had a charge off聽 with a t for a cell phone that I didn't pay,聽聽
[334]
the burden of proof was be on At&T to prove that聽 it was me and to prove that I still owe the debt.聽聽
[339]
And if they did not verify it, it would have to聽 be removed off of my credit report. Well, you can聽聽
[346]
do the same thing. Once you have the copy of your聽 credit report as I've already told you to do when聽聽
[350]
you have all of the accounts. It's very simple to聽 just go through them and find any inaccuracies,聽聽
[357]
any errors, anything that you could dispute to get聽 that off of your credit report. You need to find聽聽
[363]
any inaccuracies, any errors, or any聽 misrepresentations. Or if it's something聽聽
[368]
that you see on your credit report that you聽 just don't recognize or you don't recall,聽聽
[372]
you can also get that removed. So, you can start聽 getting bad credit deleted off of your credit聽聽
[376]
report by starting to file some of those disputes聽 and by locking up your credit. The next thing you聽聽
[382]
can also get off of your credit is inquiries.聽 Many times when we apply for things, people will聽聽
[388]
pull our credit and they will pull it many, many聽 times with different lenders. You may go to apply聽聽
[393]
for a car for example and they may shop your loan聽 through all of these different companies and each聽聽
[399]
of those companies is giving you hard inquiries.聽 You literally can take it into your own hands and聽聽
[404]
start to get those hard inquiries removed from聽 your credit report. I've literally made a video聽聽
[410]
about this and I'm going to put a link in there聽 on how to remove those hard increase because it聽聽
[415]
is amazing and it is something that you need to聽 do and this is how you will get even more points.聽聽
[420]
What happens with those hard inquiries is聽 is probably costing you about 5 points for聽聽
[425]
each one where you got declined from. And if聽 you can get those inquiries removed... Again,聽聽
[430]
they'll remove from themselves after 25 months,聽 okay? Because it has to stay up there for 2 years.聽聽
[435]
After 25 months, they'll automatically fall off聽 your credit report. But if you want to get those聽聽
[440]
removed sooner, you can go ahead by doing that聽 and following the process that I outlined for you聽聽
[445]
and again I made a whole video for you. So, you聽 want to start cleaning up that credit removing聽聽
[450]
any bad credit and errors, omissions,聽 misrepresentations, things you don't represent.,聽聽
[455]
things that you don't recall. And then last but聽 not least disputing and removing all of those hard聽聽
[459]
inquiries and getting that credit report cleaned聽 up. Okay. And last but not least, like I said,聽聽
[465]
I was going to give you a big secret on how you聽 would never have to worry about personal credit聽聽
[468]
again and do all of what Noelle did. So, like聽 I said, I have great personal credit right now聽聽
[474]
but I had terrible personal credit a couple of聽 years ago. I was in a situation where I didn't聽聽
[479]
know anything about personal credit but more聽 importantly, I didn't know about business credit.聽聽
[485]
One of the things that has changed my personal聽 credit situation forever is the fact that now I聽聽
[490]
have a strong business credit profile for all聽 of my businesses. I'm able to access hundreds聽聽
[497]
of thousands actually millions for some of my聽 business in business funding using my business聽聽
[502]
credit profile. This doesn't go on my personal聽 credit report as I use those business credit聽聽
[508]
cards, my score is not going all up and down like聽 it was when I was using my personal credit card.聽聽
[513]
And now, I'm in a situation where I really聽 don't even have to touch my personal credit,聽聽
[517]
my business credit handles everything that I need.聽 Additionally, when it comes to business credit,聽聽
[522]
the limits are so much more higher. With personal聽 credit, oftentimes, if you get a capital one card聽聽
[527]
for example, they may only give you $1,000. But聽 with a Capital One business credit card, they'll聽聽
[532]
start you off with $5,000 where they would have聽 probably just started you off with $1,000 with the聽聽
[536]
personal one. So, again, the limits, the amounts,聽 everything are so much higher. It's a different聽聽
[542]
world and you really want to step into the world聽 of business credit. First, follow the steps that聽聽
[547]
I said and fix that personal credit but please聽 take a look and learn about business credit. I've聽聽
[551]
made a ton of videos teaching you all about this聽 absolutely free. Let's get on that bandwagon. So,聽聽
