Hello everyone, Greetings to all. Welcome to another video of Canada PR series
[6]
In today's video we will talk about Express Entry's "Eligibility criteria"
[10]
First, we will talk about Six Selection Factors of Eligibility
[14]
and then we will discuss how do we calculate this eligibility
[17]
Based on these factors, Canada's Immigration Department will decide your eligibility
[23]
These selection factors are: AGE, LANGUAGE SKILL, EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, ADAPTABILITY and JOB OFFER IN CANADA
[33]
These selection factors contribute to 100 point grid system, where you need to score atleast 67 or more points to be eligible for Canada Express Entry PR
[42]
If your score is less than 67, then you are ineligible for Canada PR, and then you have to do few things to improve your score
[49]
Let's discuss these 6 selection factors in detail, and understand how each factor can contribute towards your eligibility
[56]
First Selection factor is AGE
[58]
Here, the minimum age requirement is 18 years and maximum age requirement is 46
[63]
Here you can score maximum of 12 points, if you fall under age group of 18 - 35 years
[69]
After that, you will loose 1 point for every passing year
[72]
Second Selection factor is LANGUAGE SKILL
[75]
"ENGLISH" and "FRENCH" are Canada's official languages, and it is very important to know the official language here
[85]
Here, you can score maximum of 28 points, for both English and French. You must take an approved Language test to prove your language level
[92]
Majority of Indians are not very familiar with French, and for English you need to give IELTS exam
[97]
IELTS exam has 4 sections: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking
[103]
In your IELTS exam, your minimum score should be CLB 7 or Band 6, to be eligible to Canada PR
[109]
Band 6 implies that in every section you should score atleast 6 or more
[114]
And to get maximum points here, your score should be CLB 9 or more
[118]
For your First official Language, you can get maximum of 24 points and for second official language, French in this case, you can get maximum of 4 points
[128]
Try to get maximum points here to increase your chances for Canada PR
[132]
Third Selection factor is EDUCATION
[134]
To calculate the points for Education factor is pretty straight forward
[139]
Here you will get maximum of 25 points if you are PhD. If you are Masters, you will get 23 points, and if you have done Bachelors, you will get 21 points
[148]
The minimum criteria for eligibility is 12th Pass
[151]
Considering the competition to get through Canada PR, and if we look at realistic chances, then atleast one degree is a must
[159]
Fourth Selection factor is WORK EXPERIENCE
[162]
Here you can get maximum of 15 points, if you have 6 or more years of experience
[168]
To be eligible in this factor, you need to have atleast 1 year of continuous, full time work experience either in Canada or Outside Canada with minimum of 30 hours per week
[178]
If you have 1 year of experience, you will get 9 points
[181]
If you have 2 - 3, you will get 11 points
[183]
If you have 4 - 5, you will get 13 points and maximum you will get 15 points if you have 6 or more years of experience
[191]
Fifth Selection factor is ADAPTABILITY
[194]
Here you can get 10 points and there are 7 different elements for which you can get points
[242]
Please understand, that in this category you can get maximum of 10 points, even if you qualify for multiple elements
[251]
Sixth and last Selection factor is JOB OFFER
[254]
Here you can get 10 points, if you have a valid job offer from a Canadian Employer
[261]
This job offer should be full time, continuous and with a minimum of 30 hours per week. This should not be SEASONAL
[267]
If you filing your application as a couple, then calculate individual eligibility score and the one with higher score should be the Primary candidate
[279]
Based on these 6 Selections factors, your Eligibility is decided. If your score is greater than or equal to 67, then you are eligible to apply for Canada PR
[288]
