because of what reid richards is the fantastic聽

going on right now like he hasn't completely seen聽
the grand picture of everything he doesn't know聽聽

that all universes everywhere are in the middle聽
of just destroying each other the funny thing in聽聽

this scene being the fact that his third eye has聽
emerged like the physical expression of the eye of聽聽

the writer also confirmed that it's meant to be聽
one of the consequences of him reading from the聽聽

darkhold like he gains this ancient knowledge he聽
gains more power but he's also gained this small聽聽

taint with it like this potential that something聽
bad will happen to him eventually the darkhold聽聽

corrupted him a little bit not quite as corrupted聽

we just ended the infinity saga arc with the聽聽

avengers end game movie now we're entering the聽
secret wars saga with all these coming marvel聽聽

face 4 marvel phase 5 movies and that's what all聽
the incursions are about multiverse battle royale聽聽

starting with the kang multiverse war thank you聽
very much loki and sylvie but the post credit聽聽

scene is also meant to be a big doctor strange聽
three teaser for the next direct sequel movie so聽聽

clea is going to be a big character during doctor聽
strange 3. and she's just come to get doctor聽聽

strange's help saving her home universe she goes聽
way back to the classic comics but she's been a聽聽

relatively obscure character so when she showed up聽
in the movie a lot of casual fans were like wait a聽聽

minute who is this is she supposed to be a really聽
big deal yes clea is a very big deal she's been聽聽

doctor strange's true love interest for basically聽
her entire life in marvel comics eventually聽聽

they legit get married so it's like them聽
introducing doctor strange's wife to the movies聽聽

this is my life even though in the mcu they tried聽
to make christine palmer more of a big character聽聽

she was featured in the classic doctor strange聽
comics but the comics just in general aren't聽聽

that really concerned with the christine palmer聽
character like she's just not that big a deal聽聽

when you think of doctor strange getting it on聽
with someone usually marvel's go-to especially聽聽

in the comics has been the clea character but in聽
the mcu it seems like they're teasing some kind of聽聽

love triangle with this new christine palmer聽
variant from the illuminati's 838 universe聽聽

she will be back in doctor strange 3 as well聽
that was what that whole line i love you in every聽聽

universe was meant to imply like he still has this聽
longing for her but he's just met clea so this is聽聽

meant to be the first time that he's ever met the聽
clea character one of the cool things about her聽聽

character too is that she is way more powerful聽
than doctor strange because of her family line聽聽

so it's a big deal that they're introducing her聽
because they're introducing so many op characters聽聽

during marvel phase four she's dormammu's niece聽
she's the daughter of dormammu's twin sister umar聽聽

they're from a race called the fall teen beings聽
made a pure magical energy from another dimension聽聽

outside the main mcu dimension dormammu and聽
his sister are not originally from the dark聽聽

dimension either their race looks kind of like聽
them they can take humanoid form for instance聽聽

they can look more like clea if they want to聽
but dormammu just chooses to look like they do聽聽

in their pure form so they all tend to look kind聽
of like dormammu looks when dormammu and his twin聽聽

sister were born in this alternate dimension聽
they had some abnormalities so instead of just聽聽

consuming pure magical energy for sustenance like聽
the rest of their race they crave physical matter聽聽

and the rest of their people viewed this as a big聽
perversion so they basically booted them out of聽聽

their dimension into the main mcu universe in the聽
dark dimension now here's the big twist for those聽聽

of you asking if the dark dimension is meant to聽
be another dimension or just another universe聽聽

marvel's using it is just another universe they're聽
just calling it the dark dimension so in the mcu聽聽

the dark dimension is just like another part of聽
the multiverse and that's why it's threatened by聽聽

the incursions that are destroying the entire mcu聽
multiverse when you talk about other dimensions聽聽

it's sort of like another layer of reality like聽
the third dimension in the fourth dimension the聽聽

fifth dimension the multiverse mostly just聽
covers everything in the third dimension聽聽

so marvel's kind of hand waving and using a lot聽
of different terms to describe the same thing聽聽

when they arrived in the dark dimension it聽
wasn't an evil place like you saw during the聽聽

first doctor strange movie it was just another聽
universe inside the mcu when they arrived there聽聽

they taught the people who lived there ruled over聽
that place how to absorb other dimensions making聽聽

themself more powerful they kind of teased that聽
storyline during the first doctor strange movie聽聽

absorbing other universes clea was born to聽
dormammu's sister and the son of the original king聽聽

of that dark dimension before dormammu took over聽
so in the mcu clea is kind of a star-lord type of聽聽

character who's descended from this being of pure聽
power like star lord is half celestial so they're聽聽

not as powerful as their parents but clea has this聽
natural affinity for magic that regular humans聽聽

like doctor strange don't have magic comes to聽
her naturally kind of the way that magic comes to聽聽

scarlet witch without her having to learn spells聽
i'm not a witch i don't cast spells no one taught聽聽

me magic that's one of the bonuses that scarlet聽
witch gets from her chaos magic because she can聽聽

just think of something that she wants to do and聽
it winds up happening she doesn't need to read聽聽

spells to learn them out of a book like doctor聽
strange or other regular humans like wong do but聽聽

that's one of the reasons why clea is so powerful聽
why she can open portals between universes聽聽

like it's no big deal with her magic also they聽
explained that it's expressly forbidden according聽聽

to the rules of most of the magic that people聽
follow just because it's so dangerous and it could聽聽

potentially weaken the barrier between different聽
universes causing incursions and the eventual聽聽

destruction of all reality as reed richards says聽
so there are people that could probably do it if聽聽

they really wanted to but they're just afraid聽
to because of what might happen because of it聽聽

it's not really until you get to characters like聽
kang in the distant future who start doing it a聽聽

lot like traveling between different timelines聽
manipulating the multiverse in a really big way聽聽

just because their technology is so much more聽
advanced than what you have in present day just聽聽

to give you an idea for the power scaling though聽
cleo dormammu more powerful than doctor strange聽聽

but less powerful than beings like cathone god of聽
chaos the person who gives all of scarlet witch聽聽

her chaos magic when she was born so for instance聽
clea versus scarlet witch would be a really聽聽

awesome fight to see but i still think because聽
of all the extra power up she gets from her chaos聽聽

magic scarlet witch would ultimately be able聽
to stop clea the other big easter egg with the聽聽

way they're using her in the post-credits scene聽
here with the incursion secret wars time runs聽聽

out scenario wanting doctor strange's help saving聽
the dark dimension is that this scenario is a big聽聽

easter egg for the first time marvel introduced聽
her character in the comics clea debuted in the聽聽

early 60s in strange tales 126 which was also聽
the first story that they introduced dormammu in聽聽

so the first time doctor strange faced or mamu聽
is the first time that he met clea during that聽聽

story he travels to the dark dimension and winds聽
up meeting clea who's just fascinated with him and聽聽

winds up helping him try to get rid of dormammu聽
but during their fight doctor strange winds up聽聽

saving dormammu's life in helping save the dark聽
dimension from destruction from the mindless ones聽聽

so this will sound familiar they form a bargain聽
dormammu i've come to bargain and dormammu owes聽聽

doctor strange's solid so he allows clea to go聽
free so now clea has come to get doctor strange's聽聽

help to do something similar save dormammu's聽
life technically save the dark dimension from聽聽

being destroyed because it's her home so he'll聽
have to form another bargain with dormammu聽聽

i've come to bargain so in the mcu even though聽
clea is kind of like the sorcerer's supreme of聽聽

the dark dimension she hates her uncle dormammu聽
her mother umar she wants to get rid of them and聽聽

restore order in her universe because there's聽
like a whole race of regular people that live聽聽

in the dark dimension that she wants to protect聽
right now during time runs out as the incursions聽聽

are happening she needs as much power as possible聽
to stop the incursion from destroying the dark聽聽

dimension that's why she needs doctor strange's聽
help for his power and why they need dormammu's聽聽

power as well so heading into doctor strange聽
3 for example you have this big twist where聽聽

doctor strange has to form another bargain with聽
dormammu they help try to save his universe from聽聽

being destroyed and they have a temporary truce聽
in the face of full-blown secret wars while doctor聽聽

strange is learning who clea is and a relationship聽
starts developing between the two of them now when聽聽

most people think of clea they just think of聽
doctor strange's wife like oh they have this聽聽

romantic relationship but like i said they have聽
this weird thing going on with the variant of聽聽

christine palmer from the illuminati's universe聽
so just charting the timeline using iron man and聽聽

pepper potts is a benchmark for relationships聽
in the mcu if you remember they didn't really聽聽

get together at all until the end of iron man聽
2 and they didn't really get married till after聽聽

spider-man homecoming and they didn't really聽
have a kid together until avengers end game the聽聽

same movie that they wound up killing mcu iron man聽
during so if clea and doctor strange get together聽聽

in the mcu they probably wouldn't actually get聽
together till right before doctor strange probably聽聽

winds up sacrificing himself getting an iron man聽
style arc in this secret ward saga during the聽聽

movie several different characters confront聽
him with the idea that his 1 in 14 million聽聽

chance the idea that he thought was the only way聽
was not actually the only way there would have聽聽

been another way he could have sacrificed himself聽
he's been selfish this whole time why wasn't it聽聽

you to die so ultimately i think they're setting聽
him up on an iron man style arc while he will be聽聽

the one to fall on his sword but that'll happen聽
when a full-blown secret wars winds up happening聽聽

so if they wind up getting together in the mcu it聽

himself so it's not like they're gonna get married聽

and marvel has this whole thing where they try聽

strange were to find a way to survive secret wars聽

like right now in marvel comics they have this聽

becomes the next sorcerer supreme doctor strange聽
winds up dying just another way to keep them apart聽聽

there was even one point in the comics where they聽
gave them their own spider-man one more day style聽聽

arc where they basically just erased all memory of聽

they fixed the multiverse she'd have to go back聽
