Hi old gold here, with an update of what has been聽
happening at Trigon Metals Kombat copper mine in聽聽

Namibia since I visited the site earlier in the聽
year. Trigon has made major headway with the聽聽

project, the company has managed to extend聽
the mine strike length from 4.2 kilometres聽聽

to around 30 kilometres, with聽
the acquisition of new leases.聽聽

Jed and his team believe that the聽
entire 30 kilometres is mineralized,聽聽

and will quickly add to the already large聽
resource that the company is sitting on.聽聽

The new tenements will be known as the Copper聽
King extension. It is extremely prospective with聽聽
[35]
visible copper and outcropping rocks handheld rf聽
scanners have shown copper content of 42 percent聽聽

in rocks at the surface. In old gold's opinion,聽
this is a very good sign of what sits below.

In February, Trigon's president and CEO Jed聽
Richardson, made the trip from the company's聽聽

offices in Canada, to the combat copper聽
mine in Namibia, to personally oversee聽聽

the transitioning of the mine from care聽
and maintenance back into full operation.

As you can see, Trigon Metals Combat mine has聽
all the necessary infrastructure in place,聽聽

ready to swing back into production.聽
The plant needs a little maintenance,聽聽

such as some rewiring and basic聽
servicing of the ball mills and alike.

The only major items of plant that聽
needs replacing, are the flotation cells聽聽

and filter presses. These items聽
have already been ordered,聽聽

and will not cause any hold up聽
to the restarting of operations.聽聽

The geological team at Kombat continue to retest聽
the historical drill cores with modern testing聽聽

equipment. The result is a steadily growing聽
resource, and with the help of 3d modelling,聽聽

a clearer picture of how the mineralization is聽
deposited. I believe that the testing will also聽聽

show up other minerals previously not tested聽
for, and is now in high demand, such as silver.

The copper price has doubled in the last 12聽
months and shows no sign of stopping its climb.聽聽

The price is being driven up by聽
demand primarily out of China,聽聽

the need for copper will continue to grow as聽
the rest of the world upgrades its electrical聽聽

distribution networks in the preparation for the聽
rollout of electric vehicles over the next decade.聽聽

As demand begins to outstrip supply, the reserves聽
of copper being held in warehouses are beginning聽聽

to drop while the price climbs. As physical聽
copper in warehouses falls, the Trigon stock聽聽

price begins to react. With no major sources of聽
copper concentrate expected to come online within聽聽

the next few years Trigon's Kombat mine will聽
have plenty of buyers for their concentrate,

In my opinion, the Kombat mine will be in聽
production sooner than the company is forecasting.聽聽

I think they are being conservative given that聽
the environmental license is already in place,聽聽

all services such as, electricity,聽
water, rail and roads are connected,聽聽

and the plant recommissioning will not be聽
too long as it will be very straightforward.

One of the initiatives being driven by Jed, is the聽
community garden. The vegetable garden continues聽聽

to flourish fueled by the constant supply聽
of water from the dewatering of the mine.聽聽

The quality of the water is excellent,聽
and is fit for human consumption聽聽

it is very heartening to see companies like Trigon聽聽

get so involved in the local community,聽
supporting them in practical and enduring ways.
