Do you want to know if a
Medicare Supplement plan
[2]
with Aetna would be a good choice?
[4]
Well, stick around because
I'm going to tell you
[6]
why this big brand is
definitely one to consider
[9]
for your Supplement!
[16]
Hi, I'm Shauneen Sullivan,
founder of USA Medicare Plan,
[20]
where we help people on
Medicare find low cost options
[23]
for Medicare Supplement and
Prescription Drug coverage.
[26]
Today I'm going to talk about
Aetna Medicare Supplement
[27]
plans.
[30]
Aetna is a leading healthcare company
[33]
that serves over 36
million people nationwide
[36]
and has over 47,000 employees.
[39]
They offer a variety of
health-related services
[42]
and insurance products,
including Medicare Supplements
[45]
and Medicare Advantage.
[47]
Aetna was founded in 1853
in Hartford, Connecticut.
[51]
They're recognized for being one
[52]
of the largest healthcare
benefits companies in America
[55]
and have a rating of A
Excellent by AM Best.
[59]
In 2018, Aetna became a
subsidiary of CVS Health.
[64]
This merger created one of the
nation's top health insurers.
[68]
Both companies have a history
[70]
of excellent financial strength
[71]
and a high level of customer service.
[74]
Their brand recognition is
one of quality and trust
[77]
that's been built over
many years in business.
[80]
Aetna has received many
awards for their commitment
[82]
to building healthy communities.
[84]
They're also involved in
supporting youth programs
[87]
and volunteer events.
[89]
Aetna's core values include
Integrity, Excellence,
[93]
Caring, and Inspiration.
[95]
The Aetna family of companies
[97]
includes Aetna Health and
Life Insurance Company,
[100]
Aetna Health Insurance Company,
[101]
American Continental Insurance Company,
[104]
and Continental Life Insurance Company
[106]
of Brentwood, Tennessee.
[108]
We enjoy working with Aetna,
[110]
and their customer service is excellent,
[112]
and the rates have been very stable.
[114]
Our clients are also very satisfied
[116]
with the service they provide.
[118]
Aetna offers competitively
priced Medicare Supplement plans
[122]
with up to a 7% Premium
Household Discount.
[126]
Every state is different when
it comes to the discounts,
[128]
so give us a call to check availability
[131]
and to get a free quote for your area.
[133]
A Medicare Supplement plan with
Aetna is secondary insurance
[137]
to your Medicare that helps
limit your out-of-pocket costs.
[141]
The monthly cost of an Aetna
Medicare Supplement plan
[143]
can vary and is based on age,
location, and other factors.
[149]
There are no networks,
and you can see any doctor
[151]
or provider nationwide
that accepts Medicare.
[155]
Aetna offers Plans A, B, F, G, and N.
[159]
Their most popular
Medicare Supplement plans
[161]
are Plan G and Plan N.
[164]
Plan F benefits cover 100% of
what Medicare doesn't cover.
[167]
There's no deductible
or out-of-pocket costs.
[171]
The Plan F is only available
to those who are eligible
[173]
for Medicare before January 1st, 2020.
[177]
Both Plan G and Plan N
offer the same coverage
[181]
for Medicare Parts A and B
deductibles and coinsurance,
[185]
also, Skilled Nursing
and Rehab Facility stays,
[188]
Hospice Care, and
Foreign Travel Emergency.
[191]
With Plan G and Plan N,
you'll be responsible
[194]
to pay the annual Part B deductible.
[197]
This deductible resets every January,
[199]
and it can change from year to year,
[202]
With Plan G, once you've met
this deductible for the year,
[205]
your medical costs are covered 100%
[207]
for the remainder of the year.
[209]
With Plan N once you've
met the Part B deductible
[212]
for the year, you could
have up to a $20 co-pay
[215]
for Primary or Specialist office visits.
[218]
Telehealth visits, where
you consult with a doctor
[221]
over the phone, aren't
considered office visits,
[223]
so there's no co-pay for this service.
[226]
Another co-pay you could
have with Plan N is if you go
[229]
to the Emergency Room, then you
can have up to a $50 co-pay,
[233]
but if you're admitted as an
Inpatient to the hospital,
[235]
the co-pay is waived.
[238]
One other benefit that
Plan N doesn't cover
[240]
is Part B Excess Charges.
[242]
Excess Charges are rare,
[243]
and we don't see this happen very often.
[246]
If you see doctors that
accept Medicare Assignment
[248]
or Medicare as payment in full,
[250]
then you won't have to
worry about Excess Charges.
[253]
I talk about Excess
Charges in another video,
[256]
and I'll link that up above.
[257]
Here are some key benefits
[258]
of Aetna Medicare Supplement plans.
[261]
They cover the gaps that Medicare
Parts A and B don't cover.
[264]
You have freedom to choose your doctors.
[266]
There are no networks.
[268]
You can see any provider
nationwide that accepts Medicare.
[271]
It's portable coverage that
follows you wherever you go,
[275]
even Foreign Travel Emergency coverage.
[277]
It has a predictable cost.
[279]
You pay a set premium every month.
[282]
They are guaranteed renewable.
[283]
Your plan can't be reduced
or cancelled for any reason
[286]
as long as you continue
to pay the premiums.
[289]
You can switch plans
at any time of the year
[291]
if you qualify,
[293]
and there's no Annual Enrollment.
[294]
If you'd like to get a quote
[295]
for an Aetna Medicare Supplement plan,
[297]
then give us a call,
[298]
and we'll help you find the
lowest rates in your area.
[301]
