Connecting An Arris DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem To Comcast Internet - YouTube

okay today what I'm going to be doing is
setting up a darkness 3.1 cable modem on

my system I've been using comcast modem
which they charge me each month work but

I'm gonna put my own a in and again I'm
going to show you how we set this up the

first thing though we need to do it take
a look in a mock to see what all we get

in with the cable modem from Amazon
again it's a cutter from Amazon is a

going to set up today here and let you
watch how we do this again first one

thing we wanna do is see what all comes
with this modem and the motive says it

can do up to ten not gigabit per second
Oh although I got a little over one

gigabit here on my system but this thing
can handle improvements in the cable if

okay here's what comes in the package of

course to the modem and on the back of
it something I haven't seen on other

modems it's got less than that port to
connect two devices directly to the

user manual if you have problems were to

Oh a NASA neck cable imagine a table and

a power cable so we're gonna hook this
thing up and again show you how how easy

it is to hook these modems out basically
it's just plug and play uh plug the

cable from Comcast or screwed a cable
from Comcast back to modem hooked up the

ethernet cable goes to my router and a
power cable and we're starting to get

some connectivity here so we should be
hooked up to Comcast here fairly shortly

right now it's going through a set of
checks to see if it can hook up again to

Comcast it's gotta send its map address
God we hook up Comcast fees the MAC

address or the modem before we'll have
and the internet that looks like we're

getting pretty close to having internet
through the area surfboard DOCSIS 3.1

modem that I ordered from Amazon so
again it's gonna be just a few minutes

before we're completely hooked up

okay we're starting to get an internet
connection and we should have a full

internet connection here in a few
minutes so

but everything should be starting to

we should see some movement here we have
we have good internet on the modem

activating your services so again this
doesn't take very long the biggest thing

Oh de visite they're going to restart my

modem and to restart it now over the
Comcast and what again we should be all

hooked up here in just a few moment and
everything

I'll be on my modem and again we'll be
all set up and a hat on my modem now

return this modem to Comcast get that
$10 a month or removed from our cell but

take a few minutes to reset the modem
and go through that but again what they

had to do was configure the MAC address
of this modem as be configured at

Comcast before everything was all set up
what I had to do would go to

password or account number or something

passwords was easier for me to remember

and to get this modem set up and we're
just about completely set up on the

modem it looks like we're all set up and
again the modem I got from Amazon was

and again it's all hooked up to Comcast
now it was pretty easy to plug in the

cables and then hook the power up and
then use the website WWF or comm to put

in my Comcast password a username and
password and at a few minutes it

connected up to Comcast but now again
once again we got Internet here so if
