I thought I was moving to Vancouver for
[3]
six months tops and that's only because
[6]
the script was so great and I knew that
[11]
the first few episodes were gonna be so
[13]
great that it was for sure to get
[14]
cancelled it's usually everything that's
[19]
so good ends up not going very far at
[22]
least but it's been my experience so I
[24]
knew that I was a part of something
[27]
special but I didn't know how successful
[30]
it was going to be until the second
[33]
episode aired and then we got the back
[35]
nine and that's when I thought okay this
[39]
is going to go for at least seven years
[43]
I'm going to miss our entire crew and
[46]
cast
[48]
I'm going to miss Kai who dresses me and
[52]
cam who wires me and Kris who does my
[56]
makeup and Deb who does my hair and I'm
[61]
I'm going to miss all those faces that
[64]
I've seen every morning and every night
[66]
I'm going to miss playing Regina Ronny
[68]
Evil Queen in all versions of her
[72]
getting dressed up playing with Eduardo
[74]
in the wardrobe department I'm going to
[80]
miss the chaos that happens on a
[82]
day-to-day basis that people don't get
[84]
to see but there's so much that happens
[86]
behind the scenes I'm going to miss that
[91]
it's emotional I mean it's very
[96]
emotional I think there's a part of me
[99]
that's in denial as well you know all
[102]
good things come to an end at some point
[104]
but you wish that it didn't so it's it's
[110]
it's hard I'm just really trying to
[112]
savor every moment and hug the people I
[117]
love deeply and spend as much time with
[121]
them as possible and be here as much as
[124]
I possibly can even when I'm not working
[126]
that day or in the scene
[132]
the message of hope and family love and
[134]
you know that good can come from broken
[137]
that's a really sort of hopeful message
[140]
to put out there in the world a lot of
[142]
people feel broken and a lot of our
[145]
characters are broken and that's what
[147]
makes you know human complexities so
[150]
interesting I think that that really
[152]
resonates with people the friendships
[155]
the relationships being magical is fun
[160]
that fantastical sort of life and you
[163]
can escape when you watch our show
[167]
the past couple of days have been like a
[169]
dream world high school or Union where
[173]
half of the people are people I know so
[175]
intimately so well and love so much and
[178]
then half the faces are brand new and
[181]
I'm sure equally would become would
[185]
equally become dear friends but are are
[187]
full of the the newness that is the new
[191]
life of once upon a time so it's been
[192]
wild it's also been a much more
[194]
emotional couple of days than I expected
[198]
you never know what's going to be
[200]
phenomenon I knew it would be excellent
[202]
it the script the pilot script was that
[205]
good and I believed in the boys of whom
[209]
I'd already been fans the boys being the
[210]
creators that much and then the cast
[214]
that they assembled and stepping onto
[216]
set and working with Mark my lad who
[218]
directed the pilot I knew that it was
[220]
going to be extremely special but you
[222]
never know what's going to hit with
[224]
audiences
[227]
when I saw the trailer all edited
[229]
together I knew that we were probably
[231]
going to find more people like me out
[234]
there that would be addicted to the show
[235]
and the deciding factor for me and
[237]
siding on was I would regret if I didn't
[240]
I knew that I would be a 1 sir and that
[243]
I would kick myself forever if I weren't
[246]
part of it
[248]
I think there's so much about the show
[250]
that resonates these characters are
[252]
ironically really real for being
[255]
fairytale characters they're a mess and
[257]
they change and they grow and they make
[259]
huge mistakes but they're always given
[261]
second chances and third chances and
[263]
fourth chances and that's that's all of
[265]
us we all find ourselves in one or two
[268]
or 15 characters in the show and these
[271]
these characters lead extraordinary
[273]
lives full of magic but and it might be
[276]
a form of magic that we don't
[278]
necessarily see in our real world but
[281]
there is there are all kinds of magics
[284]
all around us and I think that the show
[286]
really tapped into hope and it really
[290]
tapped into those chances
[294]
to me the finale is the quintessential
[297]
once upon a time episode and it's very
[300]
nostalgic which i think is part of why
[302]
I've been so weed since we've been
[304]
filming it and I believe that we achieve
[308]
the show's overall objective
[312]
once upon a time for me will always be a
[315]
great thrill in my life that I'm forever
[318]
grateful for and forever grateful for
[320]
this character and to be able to come
[323]
back and see the gang and get the band
[326]
together one last time to play one last
[328]
song is so exciting and it just it feels
[332]
good it feels like coming home
[335]
I had no idea once my time would turn
[338]
into what it has I don't think you ever
[340]
go into any project thinking that it's
[342]
going to be something like it's become I
[346]
would just never be that presumptuous
[349]
about something but I knew that I loved
[352]
it and I knew that everybody that was on
[354]
it loved it and I think what we did was
[357]
try to tell the story the best way that
[359]
we could and it hit it resonated with
[363]
people and I've been so grateful for the
[367]
fandom of once upon a time once errs
[369]
because they're so passionate they're so
[372]
willing to go along on the ride with us
[375]
and that's been the best of all
[381]
I knew the moment the show was hitting
[384]
with people that it was catching on when
[386]
we turned up at an event and there was
[388]
somebody dressed like me I knew
[391]
immediately that we're on to something
[396]
I think the reason that once resonated
[398]
with people and the reason why it's
[400]
become what it's become is because the
[403]
overall story and theme is hope and
[405]
everybody needs hope everybody wants a
[408]
second chance or once to know that a
[410]
second chance is possible and once
[414]
offers that and it shows you that that
[417]
is possible depending on the choices
[419]
that you make
[422]
it isn't true once upon a time fashion
[424]
the final series finale of Once Upon a
[428]
Time is in keeping with what it's always
[431]
been
[432]
and that's adventurous exciting
[435]
emotional and it sends a message not
[440]
only to us as characters but to our fans
[444]
that we love them and it's it's a it's a
[448]
great farewell
[452]
it's a fairy tale you know it's a dream
[455]
control they give you're part of reading
[457]
these stories when I was young it's one
[460]
of the first things that I ever did I
[461]
didn't even have television growing up
[463]
so for me was one of the first forms of
[465]
entertainment that I had so to be asked
[468]
to audition even was a big deal and then
[472]
to actually be a part of the show has
[474]
been just a great journey and it's you
[476]
know every part of it has been a a
[479]
discovery of something brand-new and
[481]
it's been magical it's a show that's
[483]
been loved for six seasons and to come
[486]
in in the final season and think like
[487]
okay maybe this could go in a different
[489]
direction and maybe this is a different
[491]
story and it's been a really incredible
[494]
journey to be able to take a character
[496]
and take it's three-dimensional
[498]
and all the way through
[501]
you know it's bittersweet because you
[504]
know coming in where you're part of a
[506]
season that didn't really have to do too
[507]
much with any other other season so
[509]
especially the season finale has felt
[511]
like a really big family reunion and so
[514]
if you ever been joined a part of it to
[517]
be a part of a family that has existed
[518]
before you you just become in and so the
[522]
final supper and you meet everybody that
[524]
you haven't met and it's been really
[525]
really great I feel like it's one of the
[527]
best episodes that we filmed not because
[530]
individually the characters have gone
[532]
there through a whole course of their
[535]
journey but also because you're really
[538]
getting to know these characters that
[540]
you've grown to love by watching the all
[542]
the episodes from Season one to season
[545]
seven
[547]
it's been incredible and it's something
[549]
that didn't really hit home until we
[551]
went to Storybrooke last week or this
[553]
week rather and to see all of the old
[556]
kind of cast and to meet them Pinocchio
[560]
Archie all of these people has been
[563]
incredible and seeing Storybrooke in its
[565]
prime so you've got going Gold's pawn
[567]
shop and you've got and you've got all
[570]
of those kind of iconic places and
[571]
seeing the fans as well being there in
[573]
their hordes and going okay so this this
[577]
place is kind of a big deal and you
[578]
understand why just being there you get
[581]
a sense of the history of the place
[584]
I don't think you're ever too old for
[586]
fairy tales ever I don't mean you grow
[588]
out of that
[588]
and you shouldn't there's something in
[590]
every single fairy tale that is
[592]
relatable and it's timeless and it's
[594]
universal so I think I think that's what
[597]
people take away from fairy tales and
[598]
what they take away from Once Upon a
[599]
Time is that anyone can be a princess
[601]
anyone can be a villain anyone can be
[605]
good witch bad witch anything like that
[607]
so there's there's parts of all of these
[609]
characters in every single person which
[611]
is super cool
[613]
it's been really happy it feels like it
[617]
feels but kind of bittersweet it feels
[619]
like everybody is acknowledging that
[621]
it's coming to an end they're sad to see
[623]
it come to an end but there's there's
[626]
something really joyous about it
[627]
especially with these old characters
[629]
returning and it's it's like family is
[631]
coming back together and that's really
[633]
infectious that energy of kind of of
[636]
love it's it's feel it's feeling like a
[637]
week of love actually and yes we're new
[640]
kind of season 7 we're new but it feels
[643]
like we're still part of the family
[647]
well for me it's actually interesting
[649]
cuz once upon a time has kind of been a
[650]
part of my life for a while my sister
[652]
was in season 2 she played grace the Mad
[655]
Hatter's daughter so I've kind of you
[657]
know watched the show followed the show
[658]
because she was a part of it and when I
[661]
got the audition for this initially I
[663]
had no idea what my character was they
[665]
were dummy sides I didn't know what I
[666]
was doing and then to find out that my
[668]
character was actually you know a pretty
[670]
big character in two plays Elena's
[672]
daughter was like in a play you know
[674]
female Robin Hood Robin Hood's daughter
[676]
I was just blown away and like so happy
[679]
to be a part of something that was been
[682]
on for so long and so great
[685]
I think what makes it so special is that
[687]
it's something that you know anybody can
[690]
find something in it to relate to
[691]
anybody can find something in it to
[694]
inspire them that you can watch it with
[695]
your families you can watch it alone and
[697]
it's like it's one of those shows that
[700]
Minh spiring and optimistic but it's
[703]
also very it's honest it's you know
[705]
there there is loss and there is
[707]
heartbreak but it's a it shows you that
[710]
new people come in your life and teach
[711]
you new things and show you new things
[713]
and I think that's what makes it so
[715]
beautiful and so special and unique for
[718]
a show
[720]
running through my mind is how sad I am
[722]
had a Sofer and that you know like I
[725]
came in midway through this season and
[727]
I'm like no it's not enough
[730]
but shooting this last episode with some
[732]
of the people who have were you know
[734]
when the pilot is just like ridiculous
[736]
it's so cool it's so exciting I never
[739]
would have thought that like I would be
[741]
here in the very final episode of such
[743]
an iconic show with all of the iconic
[745]
characters it's like kind of a little
[746]
surreal for me I'm still like pinching
[749]
myself
[751]
well I've been watching the show since I
[754]
was five years old so I kind of grew up
[758]
with the show and when I got the
[760]
audition I was really psyched
[764]
the show has been amazing it has been
[767]
just everyone in the show is so nice so
[772]
kind and they automatically open up to
[775]
you as if you were on the show for like
[777]
the past six years so being on the show
[781]
has meant a lot to me
[786]
it gives them hope and it gives them
[789]
love and it lets them slip away from the
[792]
world the real world and into a world of
[795]
imagination where your imagination runs
[798]
loose you can imagine anything you want
[800]
and it's there in a second and it just
[804]
makes you feel as if you were actually
[805]
in involved and if you were actually a
[810]
character that was living through
[820]
you
