Many of you have opened a free Demat account on UPSOTX
[3]
after watching the video of the day before yesterday
[6]
You will also get a FREE Flipkart voucher
If you have done it till now
[11]
Then please use this offer
This is valid until 30 September
[14]
At the end of that video, I asked
you if you want a UPSTOX tutorial
[21]
That's important as well Because you can't
create wealth just by opening a Demat account
[27]
You have to buy shares and then you will
move towards your wealth creation journey
[31]
That's why I have come up
with UPSTOX App tutorial
[35]
How can we buy/sell
shares using this App
[39]
We will also learn some very
useful features of this app
[45]
Let's start the tutorial
[48]
[Intro Music]
[55]
You will receive a user ID and Password
after activation of your UPSTOX account
[61]
You should log in using that credentials
Then it will prompt you to set your password
[66]
You should set your password
Then it is ready to use
[70]
You will see the FAVOURITES screen after log in.
SENSEX, NIFTY performance is also here
[76]
What is FAVOURITES?
You can create a lot of watchlists like this
[80]
In the left menu, you will see the option of watchlists
[84]
The first watchlist is FAVOURITES here
I have also created 3 other watchlists
[87]
Which are Automobiles, Pharma and Retail
After clicking on the NEW WATCHLIST
[90]
I can create my new watchlist of any name
I can add my favorite stocks to that watchlist
[98]
So, I don't need to search again and
again for those stocks to track them
[103]
If I want to check my favorite AUTOMOBILES
stock, I will open the AUTOMOBILES list
[111]
I can see all the stocks on which I want to keep an eye
[114]
We click on + icon to add new shares to our watchlist
[117]
Then search your favorite stock
And click on Add
[121]
The stock will show in your new watchlist
[125]
You have to transfer funds from your bank
to your Demat account to buy stocks
[132]
I will click on funds in the left menu
This is 0.00 as of now
[138]
By clicking on add funds, I can add the
funds using my linked bank account
[145]
You get the Google Pay, UPI
and Net Banking option here
[149]
You can buy stocks after adding the funds
[153]
You have to select your favorite stocks
For example, Let's select OBEROIRLTY
[158]
I will click on that stock and
I can see all details here
[162]
Its real-time chart is visible here
By scrolling down, I can see all other details
[167]
like its 52 Week high, 52 Week low,
Traded volume, Buy/Sell quantity, etc
[176]
I will click on the green color button BUY
[179]
Things are a little tricky here
You should understand these terms
[184]
Enter the number of shares you
want to buy in Order Quantity
[188]
I will type 1 as I want to buy 1 share
Then there is Order Complexity
[192]
You can choose among SIMPLE, CO and AMO
[196]
CO means Closing Offset
You can add a stop loss using CO
[202]
As the current price is 525 and You
are afraid that this can go down
[214]
So, I can enter a lower number
in the stop-loss option
[219]
If the share goes down till this number
then it will be sold automatically
[224]
As I can't bear more loss than that
This is very useful for intraday traders
[229]
Because they buy and sell shares on the same day
[233]
ut I would suggest you invest for long term
[236]
So, CO order is not so useful
unless you are a day trader
[240]
The next order type is AMO
AMO means After Market Order
[245]
As you are aware of the timings of the
Indian stock market (9:15 AM to 3:30 PM)
[252]
If you are unable to buy shares during this
time due to your job or some other reasons
[259]
then AMO is made for you
When you select AMO
[266]
Your order can be placed even after 3:30 PM
But this will execute on the next day
[274]
Its drawback is that suppose the current
price is 525 and you place an order at 525
[281]
And this share opens at 530 on next day
Then your order will not be placed
[289]
So, these were 3 types of orders
SIMPLE, CO and AMO
[293]
I am placing SIMPLE order which
can be placed between 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM
[298]
This can be a delivery order
[303]
Then I see the ORDER TYPE menu
Like MARKET and LIMIT
[307]
MARKET means I want to buy
on the current trading price
[312]
As this is fluctuating between 525 and
527 And I want to buy at this price
[317]
Then I will place my order by
selecting the MARKET option
[320]
But If I want to buy it
only on my desirable price
[324]
Then I will change MARKET to the LIMIT
option and will add my desirable price
[328]
My order will not be placed Instantly
It will wait to touch that price
[333]
My order will be placed as share hits that price
[337]
Its drawback is my order will be not placed
if the share doesn't hit my entered price
[344]
As of now, Order Complexity is SIMPLE
and order type is MARKET
[349]
Intraday is showing in the product option
Let's change it to Delivery
[354]
Delivery means I want to hold stocks for long
time.Brokerage will be also 0 in that case
[358]
Intraday means I will buy and sell on the same
day. So, these are some noticeable points
[364]
I will confirm the Quantity, Order type, Position,
and Validity by clicking on Confirm Button
[369]
My order will be placed as I click on BUY
As I have already added funds to my account
[375]
You can see your placed order in the
portfolio which is in your left menu
[381]
You can see your holdings in your portfolio
[384]
When you click on holdings, you
will see all the details of the order
[388]
Here are two options
First is CONVERT Position
[391]
It means you bought it in delivery
but you can change it intraday
[396]
SQUARE OFF means selling the stock
How to sell the stock now?
[401]
After clicking on the Square Off, You can
select quantity which you want to sell
[410]
Order complexity will be simple. You can
see LIMIT and MARKET options in order type
[415]
Suppose you bought it around
525 but you want to sell it in 700
[422]
You can enter 700 and put it on AutoSell. It
will be sold automatically when it will hit 700
[429]
If you change it to MARKET then this will
be sold on the current trading price
[437]
After clicking on the review, you can
check all details. Then click on Sell
[442]
Thus We learned that how to buy/sell shares
[445]
But Suppose you want to keep an eye on any stock
[448]
As I already have 3 shares in my Automobile Watchlist
[452]
Suppose I want to put an alert on MARUTI share
[456]
so that app can notify me when it hits my
favorite price and I can place the order
[463]
I will click on the Watch icon and will set an alert
[467]
As this is trading near 6650 and I want
to buy it at 6600, So I will enter 6600
[477]
We have less than and equal to options in ALERT ME
[482]
So, I will get an alert when it hits 6600 or goes below 6600
[487]
If I have already bought this and I want
to sell at 7000 then I will enter 7000
[493]
Then this changes into Grater than or equal to
[497]
I will get an alert if it hits 7000 or goes above 7000
[500]
I will save it. All your alerts will
be visible in the Alerts section.
[505]
You can find it in more option of Left menu
[509]
You can also edit your alerts. Thus we learned
buying/selling of shares using this app
[514]
In the left menu, You can see your watchlist,
Order History, Portfolio and also can add funds
[522]
You can check your price alerts in the MORE option
[524]
But you should know that when should
you buy shares and which shares to buy
[531]
You should know your investment origin like you
want to buy shares for 1 year or 2 years etc
[538]
And how much profit you are expecting
[540]
You should research these points
Please make a habit from today
[547]
To read the stock market news daily
Because many factors affect the stock
[553]
Like dollar-rupees relation, Crude oil prices,
Any government policy which can affect any sector
[562]
And which sectors will perform very well
in the next 5 years.
[566]
So that you can invest in them today
[570]
For example, the companies which are
investing their resources in electric cars
[575]
Or the companies which are investing
their resources in AI or Machine Learning
[580]
That's why you should keep yourself
updated about the stock market news
[584]
The second thing is the research of
the particular company
[588]
Like company's past performance, balance sheet
[593]
What are the company's future projects. How
they can be beneficial in company's growth
[598]
How much debt company has?
The stock we bought today was a debt-free company.
[604]
So, that company has 0 debt which is a plus point
[608]
You should understand the company's business model
[611]
You should understand the company's scope
in the future. Invest after all this research.
[618]
As this research is quite difficult for a
common person.(Maybe because his background)
[626]
That's why UPSTOX is giving you a subscription
