[3]
malignant narcissist
[5]

[8]
conservatorship
[9]

[11]
breaking it all down in this video
[14]
so stay tuned
[17]
[Music]
[24]
hi i'm rebecca zhang and i'm an attorney
[26]
i'm a best-selling author
[28]
i am a narcissist negotiation expert
[31]
and i teach you how to negotiate with
[35]
narcissist whether it's in your divorce
[37]
in your business life in your career in
[39]
your personal life
[41]
whatever so if you would like tips and
[44]
tricks on how to do that make sure you
[46]
subscribe to my channel and hit that
[48]
notification bell
[49]
so let's talk about britney spears so uh
[52]
it just came out yesterday that she
[55]
was in court she appeared in court to
[59]
try to end this conservatorship i can't
[62]
even believe that we're still talking
[63]
about this thing
[64]
honestly 13 years later i mean
[67]
yeah we all remember her her public
[70]
meltdown but
[71]
you know okay a lot of people have had
[73]
meltdowns and hey
[75]
she probably had some issues i mean
[78]
maybe it was severe depression maybe she
[79]
even does have
[80]
you know bipolar who knows but
[84]
she probably did need something at that
[87]
time and so at that time
[90]
her father was appointed to be her
[94]
conservator and what does that mean
[96]
that means she's basically her guardian
[98]
he's taking care of her
[100]
affairs he's taking care of her
[103]
decisions around medical or financial
[106]
things like that because at that time
[110]
a court decided based on whatever
[113]
evidence was presented to it that
[116]
she was unable to handle it herself she
[119]
she was a danger to herself and so
[122]
if she was left to her own devices
[125]
that she would maybe you know end up on
[129]
the streets or something bad would
[130]
happen to her so therefore
[132]
somebody needed to take care of her just
[135]
sort of like you know
[136]
any child has to have a guardian because
[140]
they're unable to take care of
[142]
themselves you know five-year-old
[144]
wouldn't be able to go out get a job
[145]
have an apartment all those things
[148]
and so sometimes that happens with
[150]
adults i mean
[151]
most of the time you see it happen if
[154]
they end up with
[155]
you know dementia or alzheimer's or
[157]
something like that or maybe they're in
[159]
a coma or they had a medical
[161]
emergency uh so somebody needs to step
[164]
in and try to help
[165]
and so what happened with brittany 13
[168]
years ago is that she
[170]
had this meltdown so her father steps in
[174]
now is he a malignant narcissist or is
[176]
he a narcissist at all
[178]
well do we think that he has her best
[181]
interests
[181]
at heart here when you listen to
[185]
her testimony and apparently she spoke
[188]
for 20 minutes
[190]
in court and you know via telephone and
[193]
if when you listen
[195]
to the words that she's using all of you
[198]
out there
[200]
in youtube land those of you who watch
[203]
me on a regular basis who
[204]
know about narcissism who have felt it
[208]
who know the drama trauma and chaos who
[211]
know
[212]
how they make you feel the
[215]
energy vampires that they are
[219]
how they sap your energy and they just
[221]
drain the life out of you
[224]
i've been there you've been there you
[226]
know so listen to
[227]
the words that came out of her mouth
[231]
when she was talking in front of this
[233]
judge yesterday she
[235]
asked the judge to end her court-ordered
[239]
conservatorship calling it abusive
[243]
all right that's one of the words that
[245]
she used was abusive
[247]
she also said i'm traumatized i'm not
[251]
happy
[252]
i can't sleep she said it's doing me way
[255]
more harm than good
[257]
she said i just want my life back you
[260]
know
[260]
using the words like uh traumatized
[263]
and and you know she felt like alone
[267]
that her family did nothing she used
[270]
words like
[271]
that she felt dead inside that she feels
[274]
like like they've they've stolen her
[277]
life
[278]
does this sound familiar to you
[282]
i think all of us can understand
[285]
that when someone altruistically
[288]
has your best interests at heart who is
[292]
really just doing
[293]
something because they love you because
[295]
they care about you
[297]
you feel that right and
[301]
this is not that right
[304]
so what do you think do you think she's
[307]
a victim of narcissistic abuse
[310]
give him a yes or a no in the comments
[314]
below
[314]
i think he definitely thinks she is i
[317]
mean this is not a situation like
[320]
meghan markle or something and i have a
[322]
whole video on is
[323]
whether it's megan a narcissist and you
[325]
can definitely check that out
[327]
if you'd like but you know this is
[329]
somebody
[330]
you know that she has a 60 million
[333]
dollar estate
[335]
her dad loves the power she actually
[338]
even said in her letter
[340]
that her father loves having
[344]
power over her because she's so powerful
[348]
because she's a public
[350]
image because she still has the power to
[354]
be in residence in las vegas and make
[357]
money and so
[359]
she went on to say that she felt forced
[361]
to go on tour
[362]
in 2018 and perform in las vegas
[365]
apparently
[367]
the response from her fa her father
[370]
you know the one who she's trying to get
[372]
removed
[373]
was that he loves his daughter very much
[378]
so apparently they forced her to be on
[380]
medication
[383]
uh they actually even have an iud in her
[386]
she's not
[387]
allowed to have children she's not
[390]
allowed to get
[391]
married she's leading with the court
[395]
to get rid of this uh she said
[399]
it makes me feel like i'm dead like i
[402]
don't matter
[403]
what do you think about that you all
[406]
have been there right you
[407]
know what that feels like so i
[410]
definitely think that she is
[414]
a victim of narcissistic abuse
[418]
and i want to know if you agree with me
[421]
so put that in the comments below so
[422]
let's talk about
[424]
what happens now she petitioned the
[426]
court she's asking the court to
[428]
end her conservatorship so the court is
[431]
going to have
[432]
a couple of options they can go ahead
[434]
and just end it and she can just
[437]
become a free private citizen like the
[439]
rest of us
[440]
they will have to determine whether
[443]
she's
[444]
mentally able to handle it now now it's
[447]
13 years later
[448]
so my guess is that they will
[452]
have some sort of medical
[457]
evidence whether it's a medical doctor
[460]
or a psychiatrist or psychologist
[462]
or somebody coming in and saying yeah
[465]
i've evaluated her
[467]
and this is my the results of my
[470]
evaluation
[471]
and you know will say yeah she's
[474]
she's good to go so they they can do
[477]
that
[478]
or they can say you know what we'll do
[480]
this in stages
[482]
and we will reduce the amount of control
[486]
and we'll uh we'll just keep taking a
[490]
look at it we'll maybe kind of step it
[491]
down
[492]
step by step they can also appoint a
[496]
different conservator
[498]
if they'd like i know there's been talk
[500]
about having it be
[501]
a corporate conservator like bessemer
[504]
trust they talked about bessemer trust
[507]
that's something else that they can do
[508]
as well they can even
[510]
have that interim corporate trustee
[514]
or conservator be there they can even
[518]
just maybe switch it to being like more
[521]
of a trustee instead of a conservator
[523]
so that they're sort of looking over the
[526]
finances
[527]
and having some kind of control over how
[530]
she spends her money but not necessarily
[533]
you know medical and iuds
[536]
and whether or not she can get married
[538]
and you know really
[539]
like controlling every aspect of her
[541]
life like that
[543]
i think part of the reason why she's
[546]
feeling so much stronger now
[548]
is because of this whole free britney
[550]
thing there was the
[552]
the documentary that came out which
[554]
apparently she didn't participate in
[556]
at all but it's out there even while she
[559]
was testifying
[561]
uh yesterday there were people outside
[564]
the courthouse
[565]
in los angeles with you know signs
[568]
and on her behalf really supporting her
[572]
and i think that
[574]
all of this groundswell of support is
[578]
making her feel stronger making her feel
[580]
less alone
[582]
and that's why i so advocate for you to
[586]
you know keep watching these videos join
[589]
my free private facebook group
[590]
narcissist negotiators
[592]
you know get my negotiation worksheet at
[595]
when my negotiation.com
[597]
do all of these things because i want
[600]
you
[600]
to not feel alone because honestly
[604]
the biggest thing that you can do for
[606]
yourself when you go to negotiate with a
[609]
narcissist
[610]
is figure out a way to get rid of the
[612]
fear
[613]
because the non-some secret secret is
[616]
that you are actually the stronger one
[618]
and right now her dad is quaking in his
[622]
boots because
[623]
he's realizing that the jig is up
[627]
but she's not that scared little person
[629]
anymore who's gonna allow him to
[632]
control everything and therefore you
[635]
know he not only gets the
[637]
money from that but the power and the
[639]
prestige and controlling her and all
[641]
that narcissistic supply
[643]
that goes along with all of that and so
[646]
i'm sure that he
[647]
is quite nervous right now
[651]
good and she's feeling stronger and
[654]
stronger and stronger and the stronger
[655]
that she feels
[656]
the the more he's likely to just
[660]
collapse and disappear and that's what
[663]
happens
[663]
you know you think that it's gonna be so
[666]
bad for you
[667]
but the truth of the matter is they're
[669]
way more scared of you than you are of
[671]
them
[671]
so just remember that when you're
[673]
dealing with a narcissist
[675]
and you know hopefully britney will
[678]
prevail it seems like she's
[680]
ready and strong enough and stable
[682]
enough to be able to handle everything
[684]
on her own and even if she's not
[686]
doesn't seem like that guy is the guy
[688]
who should be in charge right
[690]
so anyway thanks for watching remember
[693]
that today is a great day to start
[695]
negotiating your best life
[698]
and i will see you in the next video
