How to buy Stablecoins on Coinbase Pro and send them to Celsius Network - YouTube

what's up everybody this is john celsius community  ambassador and i want to talk to you today  

about buying stable coins specifically usdc and  sending over to your celsius app all right so  

let's uh get started but uh before i do i will be  using both the mobile version of coinbase pro as  

well as the desktop version of coinbase pro and i  will also be using the mobile version of course of  

the celsius app as well as the web app so just to  let you know before uh we start switching screens  

uh just so you can keep up with what's going  on i want to show you both methods so you have  

some options and you know kind of how they how  each of them works and um and what you can and  

can't do on each one so let's get started so i'm  going to open up my coinbase pro app right now

and like wait for that to load

okay face id always a good idea so here's  the markets and then if you tap on the  

portfolio button it will load the portfolio  here's my portfolio we're going to scroll  

down and we're going to tap on u.s dollar  and we want to take fiat from our bank  

dollars and convert them into stable coins  usdc so i have my bank connected here  

i'm gonna do fifty dollars at this  time and then you're gonna tap preview  

no fees so that's great and processing  time is instant so we're gonna confirm that

so this is taking dollars and converting  them into stable coins right now  

so or putting them into your into your wallet  no no it hasn't gone to stablecoin yet sorry  

that is that is the next steps which is now  we're going to search for uh usdc actually so  

on the coinbase app itself um there is no  pairing for usdc to uh united states dollar  

so to convert it on to on the app um i actually  can't find a way to do it so what i'm going to do  

is i need to switch over to the desktop  version of coinbase pro so here we are  

pro.coinbase.com here's my account again and  we're going to go over click on portfolios

and you'll see my us dollar balance there the  fifty dollars now there is a button here which  

is great convert to usdc that's what i wanted to  do on the mobile app but i could not find it but  

here i'm just gonna convert the maximum  amount of 50 in one cent um there we go  

and it's done that's it now i just converted  that into stablecoin so now i have my usdc um

so now i'm going to show you how to do it  

um also using the desktop version of  coinbase pro so again i'm going to go down

there's usd united states dollar we're going  to go to from our bank account because that's  

the cheapest way to do it the the fees is our  zero so i'm gonna do the same fifty dollar uh  

you know buy here and preview that

i'm actually depositing i keep saying uh i keep  saying buy but it's actually just a deposit  

so this is just depositing it into from my bank  account dollars into my um coinbase pro account

okay so here's my portfolio again again if i  wanted to convert it i could just click that  

convert to usdc button and then i would have  stable point now it takes five days to actually  

clear the um ach from my bank to my coinbase  account so you'll see here's my white listed  

addresses that i've added in advance and then if i  hit where to click the maximum button to withdraw  

you will see that it's only a partial  amount of that total so i need to wait  

the full uh clearing time which is about five  days and then i will see a credit you know at  

a full amount of 50. actually i did that by you  know i did the conversion twice so that would be  

a hundred dollars worth but anyway so i'll do the  conversion it works the same way and coinbase pro

on the desktop but i can't find it on the mobile  version so that's why i'm doing it this way so  

i just converted two sets of fifty dollars  into usdc so now i will show you how to add  

these uh withdrawal addresses these white  listed addresses to your coinbase pro account  

so here's my address book you'll see i have  two actually i have two celsius accounts  

and i i'm going to you know i can add those  right here if i wanted to add a third one  

you'll just scroll down all the way usdc  is actually at the very bottom almost

scroll there it is usdc and then i can  give it a nickname so i'll just say my test  

right there and then i will um now i need the  address from my celsius account so what i'm going  

to do is i'm going to try the uh the desktop  um the web app version of the celsius app and  

so i'll log in here it's the  same credentials as my mobile

there we go two factor always a good  idea definitely set that up if you  

have not and here's my celsius account  so i will go over and i want to receive

okay and you can scroll down and  try to find it in the list usdc

um or you can type it in here the search field  oh there's nothing okay hold on a second usd

try that again actually there it is right  there one fifth one down okay so here is my  

my address for um putting the  stable coin into my celsius app  

so there's a nice little copy button  i will copy the address and that's all  

i needed from that switch back over to the  desktop version of coinbase pro address book

i'll show you here uh i could just go ahead and  paste that now i've already have this address  

in my coinbase pro account so i don't need to  add it again but i just wanted to show you how  

that works and you should check the first few  characters um alphanumeric uh characters in  

the beginning and the end of the address  or you can just scan through the complete  

address make sure it's exactly the same as  your celsius account and that's added so

after the five days has gone by you want to  be able to go here and withdraw and withdraw  

into either of your white listed addresses  and i should be able to type in uh yeah 50.

50 worth and click withdrawal so now i'm  withdrawing the usdc 2 and and putting it  

into my celsius app so here's the gotta do two  factor again always a great idea protect yourself

and there we go withdrawal started so now  

after that five days i had the amount i'm sending  it over all right so here i'm going to check

actually i'm going to do the same on the coinbase  pro uh mobile version i'm going to show you how  

that works how to send usdc over to your celsius  app so here again you're going to tap on portfolio

and there's usdc now it's a little bit more  

you have to do a little bit more math yourself  on the mobile version just to keep this in mind  

um i hope in the future that coinbase will add  this uh more functionality that the desktop has  

but for now here we are so i'm selecting the um  that wallet same wallet and then i'm gonna send uh  

see my available is 45.99 so almost 50  bucks almost fifty dollars worth in uh usdc

okay so i'm gonna have to take this number and  subtract the network fee so be aware that the  

network fee changes it seems like it changes  by the hour so make sure you try to go to like  

gasnow.org and just check those ethereum because  it is an ethereum token um check and make sure  

you're getting the best uh network you know  the rate at the time so four dollars not bad  

but i'm going to take 45 my total i'm gonna i'm  gonna open up my uh my calculator put that number  

in go back to coinbase pro this is all if i'm  just using my um my mobile phone so i need to  

subtract the network fee which is 4.01 oh there's  my uh my previous withdrawal has just landed  

into my celsius app so that's cool 50 is in  using that other method anyway subtract let's  

see make sure the full amount four one six  one six eight four there we go we have 41.97

ish worth um so that's how much we can uh withdraw  

you know that's minus the network  fee so let me revise that type it in

some reason it doesn't support paste  so i'm just gonna have to type it in

so that's the amount minus the fee the again  verification code make sure you have that set up  

i'm gonna get that and paste it from my two-factor  authentication app that i have also on my mobile  

all right withdrawal started so here we go that's  that was two ways to send um usdc stablecoin to  

your celsius app so now let's switch over i'll  show you the proof on the other end of things  

that the stable coin has arrived so here's  my celsius app here's usdc you'll see  

there we go the first 50 is below it's  it's already confirmed the second there  

we go we just got the pop-up of 41.97  and some and some change and some dust um  

but it's still pending i'm going to refresh here  a second because it was still yellow scroll down  

again there you go both are confirmed and are in  my celsius app earning yield woohoo so here we go  

that's how you do it um two different ways using  both mobile and uh desktop versions of both  

both coinbase pro and um in celsius  so there you go uh let me refresh  

uh my coinbase um balance oh there we go  now you can see i'm at zero on the usdc  

because all of it is sent to celsius now  so that's great earning yield so thanks for

the desktop and the mobile versions of each  app so you can kind of see a little bit of  

differences in my opinion i would just  use the desktop version of coinbase pro  

it has a you know it has the convert to uh usdc  button right there when you uh make your deposit  

and um and so that's done really quickly and  easily and um yeah that's the way i would do
