she looked on zillow

she looked on redfin

they were about a hundred thousand

dollars apart then i came out looked at

her home and suggested a price that was

a hundred thousand dollars above either

of them

we put it on the market

and we received multiple offers and

we're in escrow about a hundred thousand

dollars above our list price

so had she taken an offer at what the

highest of zillow redfin had had to

suggest

she would have left

more than 200 000

on the table

so as a homeowner right now because we

have such a massive imbalance between

the supply and the demand

you are probably getting unsolicited

offers on your home you're getting calls

emails

or letters saying i want to buy your

home or from realtors saying i have a

buyer who wants to buy your home

and the fact is they probably do have

buyers who want to buy your home

but will you be getting market value

if you can't rely on the online

how do you know

you live on a particularly nice block or

near an award-winning school

and what's the inventory right now in

your neighborhood

all of those things will impact

the price that your home would sell for

and none of those things are really

going to be reflected

in the value that the algorithms produce

but here's the difference between

plugging your address into our link
