Clash Royale | How to Clone Spell | Clone Skipping - YouTube
Channel: Orange Juice Gaming
[10]
Mmm! it's a OrangeJuice
[14]
what's up everyone this is orange juice
[17]
the clone spell is unlocked in frozen peak
[19]
when the spell comes out you can
[21]
buy the special offer for 400 gems
[23]
this brings it up to level 3
[25]
It scales like the old mirror did so at tournament
[28]
standard all cloned units are the same
[31]
leveling up the card will make clone
[32]
units deal more damage, so if you have a
[35]
level-three clone spell and clone a level
[37]
one baby dragon the clone baby dragon
[40]
will deal the damage of a level three baby dragon
[43]
the reverse also true for
[45]
example if my original Musketeer's level 8 and my clone spell is level 4
[51]
The cloned musketeer will deal the damage of a level 7 musketeer
[55]
All clone units don't have a spawn time they last forever
[59]
but they do only have one hit point
[62]
that means you can counter the spell very easily with splash cards like
[65]
Wizard, arrows, or even a zap.
[69]
It's a spell that can be cast anywhere on the map it does
[71]
not clone enemy units it only clones
[74]
your own units except for buildings
[77]
spells cannot be cloned including The Log
[79]
it's a spell so the wood will not clone
[83]
When you clone a unit it temporarily
[84]
suspends the unit as they're being
[86]
cloned this means that they'll stop
[87]
moving, and they'll stop attacking for
[89]
the moment that they're splitting up
[91]
it will reset unit charge attacks like
[93]
Prince, Sparky, or Inferno Dragon
[96]
If the original target remains within range of
[98]
the tower it will continue hitting that
[100]
target leaving the clone untouched
[103]
imagine a unit coming out of freeze
[106]
your enemy tower will still be targeting it
[108]
but your unit will begin targeting the
[110]
nearest unit, so if a Royal Giant is
[112]
frozen or cloned and a new building is
[114]
placed in front of it, it'll target
[116]
that building instead
[118]
Just like freeze spell if you clone a sparky it
[121]
completely resets her attack
[123]
Spells work incredibly well against clones
[126]
fireball, zap, arrows, poison, or tornado works great against the clones
[132]
units will retain all of their mechanics when cloned
[135]
A cloned Witch will spawn
[136]
skeletons, those skeletons will have one
[139]
health but will deal full damage
[142]
casting the clone spell will always push
[144]
the real units to the left and the clone
[146]
units will spawn on the right side
[149]
this will happen anywhere on the map
[151]
knowing how this works is pretty important if
[153]
the clone runs towards the tower first it'll just die
[157]
so on the left lane it's better for units are closer to the right side of the bridge before casting
[162]
clone spell so that the first unit to
[164]
cross the river is the original unit
[167]
The same is also true in the right lane
[169]
since the real unit is always pushed to
[172]
the left side it's better to cast the
[174]
clone spell if the original unit is
[176]
standing on the right side of the bridge
[179]
in this entire video i'll refer to this
[181]
mechanic as clone skipping
[183]
You can take advantage of this mechanic to bypass a building
[187]
normally a 4-1 plant will pull the Balloon
[189]
using the spell on the left lane you can clone skip the balloon
[193]
away from the building and straight to the arena tower
[196]
you can clone skip with other units too
[199]
if you want to split lanes with clones planting a unit near
[202]
the center will skip the real unit to the left
[206]
a cloned Ice Spirit will freeze
[207]
units for the full duration of 1.5 seconds
[211]
on the topic of freeze if your
[212]
unit is frozen and you clone it the
[215]
duplicate unit will not be frozen
[217]
this can be an advantage of your
[218]
opponent uses freese defensively like if
[220]
there's two seconds left in the game and
[222]
they're trying to stop your balloon
[224]
The spell will only clone what's physically
[226]
on the map
[227]
so if you originally played a minion horde
[229]
and there's only one minion left
[231]
it'll only duplicate that last standing minion
[235]
The cloned Ice Wizards attack will
[236]
deal full damage, maintain it splash attack, as well as slow units by 35%
[243]
The same with the Ice Golems death nova
[245]
it'll slow units by thirty-five percent
[247]
as well as deal the full 70 death damage
[251]
in the same regard as the ice wizard
[253]
a clone princess her retain her insane range and full splash damage
[258]
the ice golem is the clone spells worst enemy
[261]
it's death damage and annihilates all clones within its proximity
[265]
if you mirror clone spell it won't duplicate
[267]
any clones it'll only duplicate the real
[270]
unit resulting in two clones
[273]
so if you wanted to play gimmicky deck
[275]
the best way to do that is the first
[276]
mirror the card then clone them for
[279]
quadruple the madness but it's rare that
[281]
you would want to do this since the
[282]
clones have one health
[284]
here's where it gets really cool
[286]
clone guards and dark prince will retain their shield
[289]
that means they can survive a rocket
[292]
but their shield will still have one hit point
[294]
so a clone dark prince will die in two shots
[298]
because a clone shield also has one health an ideal
[301]
spell counter against clone units with shield is poison or tornado
[306]
a cloned lumberjack will drop a rage spell when it dies
[309]
rage spells do not stack
[311]
having multiple rage spells on top of each
[313]
other do not stack the boost remains at thirty-five percent
[318]
On the topic of unit death drops a clone balloon and giant
[322]
skeleton do drop a bomb that deals full
[324]
damage cloning a giant skeleton in the
[327]
heat of the battle usually means that
[328]
the clone dies immediately which can be
[331]
good if you want to set off the bomb right on the spot
[334]
As i mentioned earlier cloned units are always pushed to the
[337]
left you can use this to your advantage to manipulate pathing
[342]
for a giant skeleton it's pretty easy to kite them with an ice golem
[346]
you just plant the ice golem in the other lane
[348]
and it'll chase it all the way to the other side
[351]
when I use the clone spell with the giant skeleton to
[353]
prevent hiding it's not even about
[355]
cloning him the most important aspect
[357]
here is that clone skipping the giant
[359]
skeleton cancels out the kiting
[361]
on certain occasions he'll beeline straight
[363]
to structure like a pre planted cannon
[365]
in this case i use the spell to clone skip the giant skeleton all the way to the left
[370]
avoiding the cannon pathing
[372]
the giant skeleton went straight to the tower finishing it off
[376]
With the balloon a similar concept can be applied
[379]
the optimal building placement to counter
[380]
a balloon the plant it on the edge
[382]
four tiles from the river and one tile from the arena tower
[386]
but with the spell you
[387]
can clone skip and push it all the way
[389]
to the left and away from the tower
[391]
this is only effective on the left lane
[393]
of your map since the real balloon always goes left
[398]
keep in mind that your opponent's left lane is your right lane
[401]
so you have the left lane advantage
[403]
while your opponent will have right lane advantage
[406]
this isn't limited to these units either
[409]
you could theoretically do this with any other
[411]
unit like the hog you could pig push a
[413]
hog then clone skip him to bypass even a 4-2 building plant
[418]
another interesting benefit to clone skipping is dodging units
[421]
here the balloon was cloned
[423]
which pushed it away from my mega minion and
[426]
allowed it to reach the tower
[429]
another unit to benefit from the clone spells is a golem
[431]
unlike what other videos have indicated
[433]
these cloned units will pop babies when they die
[436]
the clone golems and its golemites
[438]
will deal death damage as well
[442]
for lava hound it's the deadliest
[444]
the clone hound will pop lava pups
[447]
as soon as the Hound reaches the tower it's really a good idea
[450]
to clone it because if it pops the
[452]
original lava hound will continue tanking for the clone pups
[458]
sometimes it's not even about cloning the strongest cards
[461]
it's a struggle to get even one giant skeleton to reach the tower
[465]
here Mana caught me by surprise when he cloned his archers
[468]
and they ended up dealing over a thousand damage to my tower
[472]
overall the clone spell can be used in very creative ways
[475]
similar to how a tornado has very unique abilities like
[478]
like how it can force a hog to activate the King's tower
[481]
this spell has a lot of potential
[483]
it's going to take a while to learn how to use
[486]
it's vulnerable to ice golem, spells, and splash units
[490]
When i use the deck with Guards, Dark Prince, Witch, or a Giant Skeleton
[493]
i found that it was really high cost to build up a death ball
[496]
and once I built up a really strong push
[498]
tornado would just take out my entire cloned army
[501]
since the tornado last three seconds it even took out the guards and the Dark Princes' Shields
[506]
One of the absolute best counters to this card is Poison
[510]
just because it offers area denial for
[512]
the entire 10 seconds of the push
[514]
planting a clone spell will result in
[516]
dead clones immediately but that's not
[518]
necessarily a bad thing
[520]
maybe you want to clone skip your hog
[522]
to bypass the cannon
[523]
so he can go straight to the arena tower
[526]
or you just want to clone a giant skeleton to detonate its bomb early
[530]
if they don't have a poison spell but you
[532]
know that your clones gonna die immediately
[534]
maybe just want to spawn instant lava
[535]
pups by having your hound pop early
[538]
while testing this card i found that
[539]
there were some occasions where i needed
[541]
extra firepower so i'd need to clone the units on my side just to defend
[546]
if there's a baby dragon defending your attack
[548]
there's no way you're gonna be able
[550]
to clone anything and have it surviving your push without it dying immediately
[554]
when using the clone spell I found that most
[556]
decks has zap and ice golem
[558]
and it was really hard to clone minion horde unless
[560]
those cards were out of rotation
[563]
sometimes it feels like a rage spell
[565]
you only use it when you're winning so that
[567]
you can win even harder
[569]
there's so many ways to use the spell
[572]
but i think one of the best aspects
[573]
of the spell is that it can clone skip
[575]
units to bypass buildings
[577]
the only problem is that it costs three
[579]
elixir so it's a bit costly to clone skip
[582]
we look forward to seeing some cool clone combos people can come up with
[585]
maybe even a crazier tech clone skipping
[588]
thanks for watching
[590]
stay tuned for more quality OJ
