Now I'll tell you how I got my phone.

So, before I begin this video, I want to make it clear that I am not pressuring anyone

to purchase a high-end smartphone. I've always said that if you come here as a student,

you don't get that kind of liability until you finish your studies.

I too bought my first phone here after finishing my studies, and I'm just acquiring a new phone because of the camera.

So, before we begin, please tell me in the comments section what your first phone was.

What is your current phone, if you haven't purchased one yet? What was the first phone you bought, whether it was yours, your parents', or something else?

Speaking for myself, my first phone was a Sony Ericsson W810i. You can see the images on the screen,

and that phone was a gift to me when I was in 7th or 8th grade, I guess.

So, tell me in the comments what your first phone was and when you acquired it.

So, it's 8:08 p.m. right now, and today was iPhone launch day.

It was launched a few days ago, on September 13th, I believe. But it was going to be available beginning today.

So I pre-ordered the phone on the day it was launched, and I was the first in line.

However, I was unable to obtain one due to the high demand here. I'm hoping to obtain one,

but I haven't received a call from them. But, you know, it's difficult to maintain your cool.

So I figured I'd check out by myself, but I'm hungry and should've eaten something.

So, finally, finally, finally, after 10 days, I received a call from the store where I had booked my phone,

informing me that my phone had arrived and that I could go there to pick it up.

o, I ordered the phone a few days ago, but it hasn't arrived since I ordered the 512 GB variant, and 512 GB and 1 TB

are some unique variants, and those who ordered these variants are experiencing delays.

As a result, my phone finally arrived after a five-day delay, and I will receive it today.

Then I'll explain to you in detail how I got that phone,

the plan I got it with, and how much my monthly price will be for it.

Look at this gorgeous weather outdoors. For the past two years, I've been filming all of my videos with my iPhone 11 Pro Max,

and look at this amazing camera quality. I usually upgrade my phone because I want a better camera.

Since becoming a Vlogger, I've been focusing solely on quality. I haven't yet purchased a DSLR camera. I was going to get it,

but then the iPhone 13 came out, and I was also waiting for it.

I didn't update my phone last year since I didn't get the iPhone 12 after the iPhone 11 because the camera isn't that much better on it

and I don't care about how it looks. The cameras in this year's iPhone are out of this world, and they are just amazing.

I'm switching phones because the new iPhone has several nice modes, such as cinematic, and so on.

As a result, I'm acquiring the iPhone 13 Pro Max in order to maintain the quality of my vlogs.

As you can see, the temperature outside is 16 °C, indicating that winter has arrived

and the sky is becoming cloudy. It rained too much here yesterday. Winter has only just begun here,

and it is far too cold in the mornings and evenings.

It's 3:41 p.m., and traffic in Halifax is becoming congested. Everyone is returning home this time,

and students are leaving schools, so there is a lot of traffic here, and this road, which is close to our house, becomes congested.

After five days, I finally got it, and I had to unbox it right here since we had to activate it here, and then I could only take it home.

So we'll unbox it here. The packaging is really thin. I did not purchase an iPhone 12, and the iPhone 11 that I have has a larger package

than this one because it also includes the charger. So let's get this thing unboxed.

Right now, I'm noticing a difference in the cameras: the cameras on my current phone are much smaller than the ones on this phone.

It'll be interesting to shoot vlogs from this phone. I'm hoping there won't be any scratches.

So, finally, I'm home, and here's my new phone, which I haven't activated yet, and which I just got home in this form.

Because I'm working and haven't had time to activate it, I'm still shooting videos on my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

As you'll witness in my vlog, I'll put this phone's camera to the test. So let's open it and turn it on.

Right now, I want to use it as a new device, and then I'll transfer all of my info from my previous phone into it.

So, as you can see, this is our phone.

The box did not appear to be new because the company had stopped applying plastic wrap to the box.

Despite the fact that we do not desire anything from the box, Apple does not provide anything else inside the box.

This phone took 5 days to arrive after I ordered it. That's why I believe this box is damaged from this side;

this happens in shipping all the time, but we don't worry about the box. This is everything that matters to us.

Oh my gosh.

Look how shiny it is, and you can see my room lights in it.

It looks fantastic, and the color is stunning. I didn't think this color would be so lovely because I usually buy white or

black, but I decided to give it a shot this time.

My current phone's camera quality is likewise good, since it blurred the background.

So let us begin the activation process right away.

So far, it appears to be in good condition, but I will not place it directly on the surface because it may scratch.

So I've already purchased the necessary accessories. I paid $12 for two screen protectors,

a great case, a lens protector, and this magnetic ring.

So, I'm shooting this video for the first time on my new iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I'm currently in cinematic mode.

So you can see how this cinematic mode works, and I'm not sure if the background blurs behind me.

I just saw the video I shot, and it was great. From now on, you'll see a higher quality vlog, and I'll love making and editing the vlog.

This is my new phone.

So we'll walk inside and spend some time in the store.

So, the video you're viewing now was shot on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, which I've had for about 2-3 days and is performing excellently.

The camera and screen quality have been upgraded in this model.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and an iPhone 13 Pro Max. The vlogs you've seen so far have all been shot on an iPhone 11 Pro Max,

so you won't notice much of a change unless I use the cinematic mode on this phone.

Now, I'll make a recommendation: if you have a smartphone, as long as it's in perfect condition and you don't use cameras much,

don't get a new one because it'll be a waste of money. That was only for cameras.

Now I'll tell you how I got this phone. There are numerous ways to buy a phone here, such as EMIs or direct cash,

and Apple has launched their own EMI scheme,

through which you can obtain a phone with no down payment for 24 months of installments, but you only

need to pay the tax amount upfront. However, I purchased it through Rogers.

My Rogers plan costs roughly $53 per month excluding taxes and $60-63 per month including taxes.

I used to receive 20 GB of data with that, but they upgraded it to 30 GB as they had a plan like that.

So I get 30 GB of data at the same price. I have to pay $83/month for the phone,

which is increased to $94 when taxes are added. So, if I don't get the protection, I'll be charged roughly $154 for the phone.

I acquire AppleCare with every iPhone because I know I make vlogs, and if the phone is dropped or broken,

I have AppleCare and can get it repaired or exchanged.

So, if I get it from Apple, it'll be roughly $287, and it covers screen repair for $70,

and if it breaks from both the back and front, it'll be repaired for $150, including taxes. So that was AppleCare,

and now I'll talk about the protection package from Rogers, whose network I use.

They provide a protection plan for $18.99 per month, which covers everything like AppleCare, including loss and theft.

So, if your phone is lost or stolen, they will replace it.

However, you must pay a $400 deductible before you can get a new phone from them.

If you live in Ontario, you can also try other companies such as Freedom, etc. Their plans are significantly less expensive, but

these networks only operate within cities and do not operate outside of them.

That is why I did not switch from the Rogers network since I knew that if I travelled outside of Halifax,

no other network would work and only the Rogers network would work throughout Canada.
