The answer is no. Today I'll show a unique comparison which is not available anywhere. Hello friends,

welcome to my channel VM-One. My name is Vineet & today I'll tell the best budget home theatre system in

India 2021. I'll compare these two. One is the market leader and other is a new entrant. Let's see who wins.

First let's talk about the champion of budget home theaters- Sony t-40.This review is completely different

from reviews and sound tests you must have seen because this review shows a unique comparison.

It comes with 4 speakers of 3.15 inch with 10W each output. 2 front speakers have 10 Ohms impedance and

2 Surround speakers have 4 ohms impedance. T40 has a 5-inch subwoofer which is rated for maximum 40W output.

Its impedance is 4 ohms. On the backside of subwoofer is a socket for power connection, an AUX input and

inputs for all 4 wire satellite. On the front is power on/off switch, a function (input) switch, 1 USB

input and its controls. Songs can be played via Bluetooth but the Bluetooth version is quite old- 2.1.

This doesn't creates problem in establishing the connection but once it is disconnected, it won't

connect again automatically. You will have connect it manually.

This is Obage dt-51. I have already done its unboxing and review. But this comparison is difficult for

Obage because I am comparing it with an established budget home theatre system. This is a tower style home

theatre system. Acc to Obage it has balanced audio along with heavy bass. Both the tower speakers have

2 speakers of 4-inch and 8 ohms, 2 tweeters of 2.5-inch and 4 ohms and 2 subwoofers of 5.25-inch and 4 ohms.

Total output of speakers and tweeters is 15W each tower. Output of subwoofer is 35W each tower which totals to 100W.

Its SNR is 72dB. It has multiple connectivity options- AUX input, SD card, USB and Bluetooth. DT-51 has

Bluetooth 5.0 version. Input selection can be checked in this display. Enough about looks and specs;

now let's do a real comparison with real audio test. A small disclaimer- same audio is played, recording is done

on same volume, same mic is used and placed on same distance. But still perfect audio quality will not be available

because you get to listen 90% compressed audio. That's why I have provided the real drive links of the

original audio. Download then to listen the actual audio quality.

Was there any difference in the audio quality?

Let me define the difference and later I'll give its proof. Let's divide it into 3 sections- low notes (bass),

mid notes (vocals) and high notes (treble). There are 2 types of bass- lower and upper. During music recording,

90% times the lower bass is used and Sony is weak in lower bass. It is strong in upper bass known as 'fake bass'.

Obage is strong in lower bass and weak in upper bass and that's a very good thing. That's why the unnecessary

bass in notes can be seen in Sony whereas Obage is providing the correct bass at correct place that too without

bhumi sound. Now let's talk about mid notes or vocals. I cannot show it in video due to copyright reasons.

I have given the links of 4 different songs from 4 different genres in description box. You can download

and listen them. Songs have been recorded with same mic at same distance. Let me explain the difference so that

you can understand later when you listen to it. There are 2 types of mid notes- male voice and female voice.

Sony presents the male voice in a good way but is bad at representing female voice. This is not an issue in Obage.

That's why I have provided the drive links of 2 male and 2 females voice songs. Listen to them carefully and try

to note their differences. Let's talk about treble- high notes is an extremely important feature which is often

ignored and Sony completely fails in this criterion. High notes are not good and instruments are hardly audible.

You will not even understand that how many or which instruments have been played in a song. This problem is not

there in Obage. The reason behind this is the tweeter in both towers. Sony doesn't provide tweeters and its

high notes are a complete failure. This is the proof to prove the same.

This is called pink noise. It is used to check how the Audio system provide low, mid and high frequencies. Let's try to

judge the frequency response by playing the pink noise on both systems on Same distance, and same volume. We'll judge it

by a frequency analyzer app. We are capturing pink noise by a mic. It is not the best but gives an idea of frequency

response. I want to highlight the frequency response of both the speakers. Sony's high frequency response is extremely

poor whereas that of Obage is absolutely amazing. So which system should you buy? If you have a small cafe or gym then go

for Sony as it distributes the sound equally in all 4 corners. If you want to enjoy music, and if you want to

experience balanced audio with heavy bass then the answer is Obage DT-51. But how does it give balanced audio along

with heavy bass? It is because of an Amplifier which is rated- 120W and its capacity is 100W. This is the best combination

because if the output of the system is 100W & the capacity of Amplifier is more: it will always perform good with

the lowest distortion. But this is quite opposite in Sony. Sony's rated capacity is 80W whereas its adapter is of 60W.

This is its biggest disadvantage and the reason why its audio quality is not that good. How can Obage DT-51 be a

perfect system even if it doesn't have HDMI and optical input? Friends you need these ports to decode and passtrough

codecs like dolby audio, dolby digital or dolby atmos from TV to music system or tower speaker system. When these

System do not support such codecs, then they don't even require HDMI or optical audio ports. Even a dolby atmos

audio payed by Bluetooth gives only stereo audio. That's why I think that Obage DT-51 is the best system in budget

home theatre systems. I will definitely buy DT-51 only. All the audio tests and the screenshots of pink noise
