[4]
which is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment We moved here last year
[9]
Before this we were living in a one bedroom apartment. Many of you must have watched that video
[15]
If you must havent seen that video . Click in the I button on the corner.
[20]
in this video I will show you the whole apartment
[26]
What is the rate of this apartment and How much does this cost other utilities expenses
[31]
What is the rate of this apartment and How much does this cost other utilities expenses
[36]
So lets Go.
[49]
Welcome to our apartment. Please come in.
[53]
So as you enter you can see storage cupboard on the left.
[55]
and here all that same vacuum cleaner and jackets and some of our bags and other stuff
[62]
coat hanger and its main purpose is storage of items that are not used reguarly. Iron table.
[68]
So let's go to the side where we have boiler and washing machine The boiler is used for central heating and hot water and
[78]
There is a board to set up boiler which I will show you later in the video.
[83]
At the bottom is automatic washing machine.
[89]
It has different dry cycles. you can just wash and air dry or you want the clothes to be completely dried all different function are there.
[98]
let's move down to the right side Here is the common bathroom on the right side
[104]
In this bathroom we have a bathtub
[111]
here is our laundry bag and there are some utilities and bathroom essentials.
[119]
And this is the heated towel rail on which you can hang your towels to dry.
[123]
So this was the bathroom. And behind me you can see the bicycle. Which Nittin got during the lockdown.
[130]
he was very fond of cycling .
[135]
Although its not used heavily. he use this cycle to get some groceries from nearby stores during covid times.
[146]
So let me now show you my second bedroom. Look at this full length window from where we get good sunlight during the day.
[155]
Here is wardrobe and we put all our extra stuff in these wardrobes.
[161]
we also have a small temple in this bedroom.
[173]
And this is the floor fan that we use during hot summer days as there are no ceiling fans in UK.
[177]
which I showed in culture shock video. I will tag the link here and description.
[189]
No ceiling fans thats why we have to use floor fans or table top fans.
[193]
Usually weather is pleasant in summers so you don't need to use it a-lot.
[201]
This was our small bedroom now lets go to living room.
[205]
Welcome to this area of the house. can you come a bit forword.
[212]
This is our new sofa.We had another sofa which we flattened by sitting on it during lockdown. And that was useless afterwards.
[222]
So we requested our Landlord to change it to which he kindly agreed.
[239]
Then comes this desk. which is our office. We set it up during lockdown.
[248]
And this wasn't used earlier. And we got this chair during that time. Nittin Still uses this set up .
[262]
This desk was provided by landlord and rest of things screen, chair, keyboard is all ours.
[274]
This is our tv which is also provided by landlord as a part of furnished apartment.
[280]
Lets go to other side which is a kitchen which is one of the most important areas in a house
[288]
This dining table is 6 seater but we use the two chairs in different rooms
[292]
We are anyway just two people so 2 chairs are enough for daily purpose. We can put all chairs if there is a gathering in the house
[299]
Let me show you the kitchen in detail
[304]
This is the fridge, for the people who have not seen this in my previous house tours
[309]
i want to show that the top one is fridge and the bottom one is freezer
[316]
As you can see the fridge is full because we recently ordered from a big UK superstore called ASDA
[321]
This is the freezer .. basically i wanted to show you guys the size of the fridge and freezer which is pretty much standard in apartments
[333]
The rest is mostly the cabinets but I will show you the main available appliances in this kitchen
[339]
This is the chimney and its mostly present in all the apartments
[345]
If you pull the hood , it gets switched on and if you push it down it gets switched off.
[352]
This is the ceramic hob which works via a red heated filament
[360]
If I show you by turning it on then you can see it.
[366]
Hopefully you can see it now, this is the red part which is the heating element
[373]
This is how this cooking top works.
[379]
There is a variety of hobs available here like electric induction and gas which is found in India
[384]
Gas hob is mostly present in older apartments
[394]
In new apartments, you will find mostly electric or ceramic hobs
[398]
This is the oven used for baking different items.
[405]
Here people mostly bake rather than frying things
[411]
we have recently tried things like Fries, Samosa etc.
[416]
There are many things which come frozen ready to be baked.
[422]
Most of the items come with proper instructions which you can follow and cook in the oven
[426]
Then we will switch to microwave, this is pretty common and I dont think i need to explain it much
[440]
We have this food processor which is multifunctional. We have to do everything here end to end so this is very useful.
[444]
we can make dough and can be used for making purees/ grating etc.
[449]
Do whatever you want to do with different extensions and jars available with this
[459]
This reminds me of showing you another important thing.
[465]
which is pressure cooker. It can be bought in UK but is very difficult to find
[469]
plus can be very expensive too. So you can get it from India if you want.
[474]
It is very easy to use and helpful here.
[479]
Ok next I will show you the dishwasher, If you are living out of India, this is a necessity.
[484]
It's a bit loaded and somewhat messy in here hope you don't mind.
[489]
This is the standard size in here. This is the place where you put the dishwasher tablet
[495]
You can get these tablets easily from a grocery store
[501]
you can then switch it on using this button
[505]
and press this button to wash it with maximum load.
[510]
Usually we use this mode only
[515]
As you know Indian cooking is a bit oily and utensils are greasy, this mode is required to completely clean the dishes.
[519]
If you dont use this mode, might happen that it does not get clean properly
[525]
Apart from dishwasher tablets, dishwasher salt is required
[530]
once in a while. It has to be put inside at a certain frequency.
[537]
You will observe that after sometime, dishes aren't getting cleaned
[541]
Btw Kiaan is up.
[546]
As I promised outside that I will show you how to set up boiler.
[551]
This is the device which is present in our living room behind the door.
[557]
I'll show you how this can be switched on
[563]
This is the icon for tap and the other one is for radiator
[569]
Now let's press this to turn it on . there are different modes.
[574]
This is different setting to make it work on a frequency or instantly start heating
[579]
This is how we can set up hot water
[585]
or central heating setting Let me turn it off now.
[590]
Now it is off Now lets go to our master bedroom
[596]
One more thing which I forgot to show you. This is a phone which is connected to the building entrance
[603]
If someone comes outside our apartment building, he can dial us here
[608]
We can pick up the call, and open the door for him/her
[613]
This is the key which we can press to open it
[620]
I have pressed it just to show you the camera
[625]
If someone comes, you can see that person on this screen
[630]
This is the video in which the person can be seen
[634]
If you want to talk then you can talk or you can straight away open the door
[640]
like you can see the kids playing around
[646]
Now let's go to our master bedroom. Usually there are carpets in the room and the rest of the apartment is wooden.
[656]
As soon as I enter the bedroom, you can see the huge mirrors which are the wardrobes
[661]
Obviously we put clothes and other items in here
[669]
We have converted this dressing table to changing table
[674]
Used half of the table to put changing mat
[680]
We have kept all the things that are needed to change kiaan's diaper in the drawers
[684]
It becomes quite easy to do this here
[689]
Because of space constraint, we have customised and used the dressing table
[694]
This was the changing mat, next is the cot which we got from IKEA
[699]
Cot is very important because you should not co-sleep with the babies, there are strict sleeping guidelines here for the babies
[705]
This is our king size bed
[710]
and you can see the big beautiful window from which we take plenty of sunshine
[715]
When the weather is good, we open the window to let the fresh air in
[718]
Feels really nice and the temperature of the room gets regulated
[723]
Talking of temperature, I will show you a small device installed here.
[727]
This tells you the humidity which is 49% and the temperature which is 24.7 degrees celsius
[732]
In London, the weather keeps changing rapidly and is quite unpredictable.
[737]
And outside temperature is quite different from the inside
[742]
because windows and balcony doors are insulated
[748]
Because of that we have put this device as sometimes we don't feel much cold as we are used to of it
[753]
but for babies, it might be colder that we think
[760]
If we observe that the room temperature is down we can cover the baby or dress accordingly.
[774]
You can see the half side is covered with curtains
[776]
Because we cannot fit all the stuff in store we have put some here
[778]
and we don't want to show you guys whats behind this.
[784]
These are the lights which are very beautiful
[788]
When we came to view this apartment, we were instantly attracted to them
[794]
Next you might be thinking there was a door in the bedroom
[800]
This is actually the en-suite bathroom
[806]
There is a partition and the shower. There is no bath tub here
[809]
People who cannot use bath tub or dont want to , they can easily take a shower in here
[812]
This is our balcony and attached to the living room As you can see the size is pretty good.
[825]
can you see the DLR (train) ? the station is actually walkable distance from here
[829]
This was our home tour, now lets talk about rent
[834]
The rent of this apartment is 1450 gbp per month which was a bit discounted as we moved here during lockdown
[847]
on the website it was listed 1550 gbp per month but somehow we managed to get it cheaper due to covid
[854]
The rental prices have gone a bit down. Apart from rent, what all expenses are here let me tell you
[859]
first of all there is a council tax which is 1400 gbp per year
[865]
That electricity cost approx 40 gbp per month
[871]
Water and internet both cost 20 gbp per month each ( total 40)
[877]
These are the approx average costs, it can be a bit lesser or higher than this.. depends on your provider
[883]
If you have any other questions let me know in the comments section I will try to respond
[888]
and please dont forget to like and share the video if you enjoyed watching it
[893]
see you in our next video.. until then bye
