[5]
Hello, welcome to LM Skills Academy.
[9]
I'm Md Munna and you're watching my LinkedIn Premium account page on the screen.
[17]
If you see, there is Premium written here that means this account is a Premium account.
[24]
Today we'll discuss the difference between a LinkedIn Preimium account and a free account.
[31]
We'll know what additional features LinkedIn provide to its Premium members that a free account member does not get.
[37]
Let me show you the Premium features.
[44]
I click on 'See all Premium features here' and get this page.
[54]
In this page, we can see a list of available Premium features.
[59]
There are 6 features given here that LinkedIn provide to its Premium members.
[65]
They're - InMails per month, Who's viewed your profile, Job Insights, Featured applicant, LinkedIn Learning, Open Profile.
[74]
Now, I'll discuss about these in more details so that you understand how beneficial are these features for you.
[85]
First is LinkedIn InMail. In general, we cannot send message to other account on LinkedIn if the account is not our connection.
[101]
For example - if you want to send a message to any HR, you'll have to first connect with the HR.
[108]
So if you are a LinkedIn Premium member, you can use InMail to directly send your message to any one in LinkedIn without connecting with them.
[122]
Next is - 'who's viewed your profile'. As a Premium member you can see the list of people who has viewed your profile.
[132]
In free account, you can know that someone has viewed your profile but you do not know who he/she is.
[140]
So once you take the premium memberhsip, you can check the persons who have viewed your profile.
[147]
Next is - 'Get noticed by recruiters and hiring managers'. It means when a recruiter or hiring manager searches for job seekers, your profile will get a priorty in the search list.
[161]
Next is - 'Stay open to opportunities'. As a premium member, your account is always in Open status so that recruiters can offer you better job opportunities and you also get job updates.
[177]
Now, at the top, we can see 'LinkedIn Resume Builder' given.
[182]
Usually free members can create resume from the Profile page but for Premium members this is a better version of resume builder.
[191]
Now I click the link to show you how to create resume for Premium members.
[195]
Once I click the link, you can see it is taking us to a page with 'resume maker web'.
[201]
Now, you can see it has created a well formatted resume from the details that I have added in my LinkedIn profile page.
[213]
We do not require to make any modification here. If we want to add any detail, we can do that.
[221]
We can click Preview button to see how it will look after print or we can also Download this resume.
[227]
I click Download and the resume is downloaded in PDF format.
[239]
You can see LinkedIn created a well formatted resume.
[246]
This was about resume builder.
[249]
Next, there is a very good feature that is not available for free account members.
[256]
'Find jobs where you'd be a great fit' - When you check a company's job in LinkedIn, it does a skill match so you know about your skills that matches as per the required skills for the job.
[270]
I'll show you how it works. For this I go to LinkedIn - Jobs.
[285]
Here we can see a list of jobs given below. I click on 'Marketing Specialist' job.
[295]
Below here, we can see this section for Premium account.
[300]
This will show our skills matching as per other candidates who have already applied for this job.
[310]
It shows that only Microsoft Office and Team Management are the skills in me that matches with the job and other candidates have also remanining skills that's not in me. We can also add these skills in our profile.
[320]
Next, we can check the seniority level and education of other applicants who have applied for this job.
[339]
These features are only for LinkedIn Premium accounts. We can also see information about company.
[348]
Let's now see 'Get an exclusive look at company trends' benefit.
[354]
We can check the trend going in a company. I am checking trend for Tata Communications by click on a job posted by the company.
[369]
This is a 'Marketing Campaign Manager' job posted by Tata Communications. At below, we can see skills matching with the job.
[375]
Now here there is a section 'An inside look at Tata Communications and its employees'.
[381]
We can see the growth of the company by its number of employees being hired increasing or decreasing.
[391]
This way we can have an idea about if it would be better to join this company or not. This is one of great benefits given.
[402]
Next is 'LinkedIn Learning'. This is very important benefit that is given to LinkedIn Premium members.
[412]
You can click 'Learning' link and check the free courses available.
[419]
You do not need to pay additonally for the courses. You can find all the courses here very professional.
[428]
When you complete a course here, you get a certificate for that.
[435]
I had done a course on Tableau. Let me show that to you by going on my Profile page.
[441]
You can see here that I had done Tableau course from LinkedIn and it is added under License & Certifications.
[453]
And the skills that are related to Tableau is added under Skills & Endorsements.
[459]
You get the option from the skills what you want to add and what not to add. I have added Tableau here.
[478]
