HOW TO PLACE TRADING ROBOTS ON METATRADER 4 and MT5 - YouTube

Hello everyone, it's Petko Aleksandrov and  in this video, I will show you how to place  

some of the Expert Advisors from the Forex bundles  on your MetaTrader platform as we already said  

the best thing to do is to test them first on a  virtual account. Аnd this is how we do it, we test  

many Expert Advisors on virtual account, we follow  their performance we see which are the strategies  

that perform well on the current market conditions.  Аnd we place the best Expert Advisors on our Live  

account. Сo pretty much that's the system that  we follow it's been working for us very well  

till the moment and for many of our students.  And in a few videos, I would like to share with  

you how exactly we do it if you take any of  our Robots bundles you will know what exactly  

you need to do. All right? So I've said that I  will show you how to place individual Expert  

Advisors and Portfolio Expert Advisors. Now let  me grab the Expert Advisors for MetaTrader 4  

from the portfolio trading strategies  with 12 Expert Advisors, so I have 4 

for EURGBP, 4 for EURUSD and for  4 GBPUSD and you can notice that this  

is a balanced portfolio of Expert Advisors, equal  exposure between the EUR, we have 2-time EUR,

we have 2-time the GBP, and we have 2-time  the USD. So there will be equal exposure while  

trading with the Expert Advisors. OK, if you  trade EURUSD, GBPUSD, and USDJPY,

you will have bigger exposure on the USD which  might be risky in times when there is a lot of  

USD movements. All right? Now we'll copy these  Expert Advisors and what I need to do is to go  

to File on my MetaTrader platform, open data folder  and then I click on MQL4, Experts and this is where  

I will paste the Expert Advisors and as well  I will take the Portfolio Expert Advisors that  

we have in the bundle of last month's top EAs with  30 strategies. Here they are, I copy them and I will  

paste them in the same folder in MetaTrader and here they are. OK? Now, I will close that folder  

and I will go to Expert Advisors in my navigator  and I will click on refresh. You will see that it  

takes a couple of seconds and after that, we have the  Expert Advisors below which means that they are  

compiled. Now something important - the Portfolio  Expert Advisors for the moment they work only on  

MetaTrader 4, so if you want to use MetaTrader 5, you will need to use individual Expert Advisors  

and this refresh trick works only with MetaTrader 4. If you use MetaTrader 5 what you will need to do is  

to open data folder, MQL4, and once you paste the  Expert Advisors, you need to click on each one  

which will open the Meta editor and from  here you need to compile the Expert Advisors.  

And with MetaTrader4 it works much faster with  one click over Expert Advisors, right mouse and  

refresh it compiles all the Expert Advisors. So  these EX4 files are the compiled Expert Advisors.  

OK? So for MetaTrader 4 much easier I've  been using MetaTrader 4 for the moment,  

it's just more convenient for trading with Expert  Advisors. OK? Now after I have the Expert Advisors  

on my MetaTrader platform, I will need to open  different charts and keep in mind that each  

Expert Advisor must be on a separate chart. Let me  make them back and I will go right click and go to  

indicators list, I will remove the indicators that  I have and as well I will remove the 1-click  

trading because we don't need it so I have a plain  chart. And keep in mind that you don't need to put  

any indicators over the chart. All you need to  do is to synchronize the time frame and the  

asset over the chart. So the first Expert Advisor  is for EURGBP, so you will need to find it  

on the Market watch and drag and drop it over the chart. Now I am on EURGBP but on the H4 time frame.

So I will switch to M15 and I will need 3 more  charts for EURGBP on M15 for the next Expert   Advisor. So I'll just right-click over the chart window,  I will do it 3 times so right mouse over EURGBP and click on the chart window and I will switch  quickly to M15 for each one and then I will have

4 charts for EURUSD. OK? EURUSD right  here in the market watch, chart window 4 times  

and I have 4 charts I will switch to M50 each  one, so make sure if you are trading with Expert  

Advisor on 15-minute time frame to put it on M15  on the chart. And I will need another 4 charts  

for the GBPUSD Expert Advisors. Just above  the EURUSD is the GBPUSD, right-click  

over it and click on the chart window and I will  need 2 more here they are. I will switch to M15  

for all of them and this might look complicated if  you're doing it for the first time but just follow  

the videos and you will see that it's nothing hard. OK? So now I'm ready to place the individual  

Expert Advisors and I will start from EURGBP but before I attach the Expert Advisors to the  

chart what I will need to do is to enable the Auto trading. So make sure it is green before you place  

the Expert Advisors. Quite often the traders are  asking me and the students why the EAs are not  

opening trades and most of the time the reason  is that they have enabled the AutoTrading after  

placing the Expert Advisors on the chart. So the right way to go is to enable AutoTrading, make it  

green and then double click on each Expert Advisor and put it on the chart. All right? So when I double  

click over the Expert Advisor, you will see a small  menu we have the Entry lot so you will see usually  

0.1 lot by default for most of the Expert Advisors  but you can change that it depends with how much  

you want to trade then we have the Stop Loss, the  Take Profit and the Indicators and the parameters  

for these indicators. So one more time you don't  need to put these indicators on the charts, they  

are inside the Expert Advisors and on the bottom  we have the Magic number which is very useful  

when you are trading with many Expert Advisors  and you want to follow the performance of each  

Expert Advisor, I will show you that. So now I will  just click on OK and you will see the smiley face  

in the upper right-hand corner which means that  the Expert Advisor is attached and ready to trade.  

Now, I will go to the second chart double click  on it and I click on OK, third chart double click  

and I click on OK. It works that easy you can  put many Expert Advisors on the charts quickly.  

Just one more time make sure to put them on the  right time frame and on the right asset. And the  

Magic numbers with the individual Expert Advisors  are unique which means that you can change them  

if you want or you can keep the Magic numbers that are already inside. This is what I usually do.  

Just with the Portfolio Expert Advisors, we need to  change it and I will show you how just in a minute.  

All right? The last one, double click. OK? So I have  placed all the Expert Advisors on the charts and  

they are ready for trading. When the first signals  come they will open the trades automatically.  

Now I have selected to show you 3 Portfolio  Expert Advisors. So what's the difference? These  

individual strategies that we placed on the charts are Expert Advisors. The Portfolio Expert Advisor is also  

an Expert Advisor but the Portfolio Expert Advisor  is a combination of many strategies or we can say  

many Expert Advisors into 1 Expert Advisor. For  example, these Expert Advisors that I have selected  

that are named last month in the Robots bundle  there are 10 strategies inside each Expert Advisor.  

OK and the difference is that I don't need to open 10 charts. I will just open 1 chart for EURGBP.

I will go to EURGBP right mouse chart window and it is on H1. So what I will do? I will  

double click on it and you will see that inputs,  I don't see the indicators for the 10 strategies.  

I see the Entry lot and the Base magic number. Now  usually when I trade Portfolio Expert Advisors  

I put the lower lot size as 0.01 because there are 10  strategies. So if the 10 of them open trades I will  

still have 0.1, but that's up to you you can change  the Entry lot as much as you feel comfortable. And  

then we have the base Magic number. OK? So here  is the important thing. If you leave it to 100  

you will see in the results after that  the magic numbers will start with 000,  

then will have the second one with 001,  the third one will be 002, and so on  

until 009. Because totally we have 10  strategies in this Portfolio Expert Advisor for  

the EURGBP. Now, how I usually do it EURGBP  the currency pair I change the Magic number to 120  

and I will click on OK, the Expert Advisor  will be attached over the chart. I will open one  

chart for EURUSD and I will double click on  it and for EURUSD I keep it to 100, I will  

click on OK and the GBPUSD I will change the Magic number to 0. OK? So simply this is  

my own method to do it, you can do it your way but  I would suggest you if you are trading different  

currencies for different Portfolio Expert Advisors  to change the basic Magic number, so later you  

will see that it's much easier when we are following the results. So one more time my system  

for Magic numbers is that I keep 100 for  EURUSD. OK? Because this is the most traded  

currency pair and it's just number 1 for me, then  we have the GBPUSD 00 and then we have  

the USDJPY I usually keep it 000. Even  the USDJPY is more traded by the traders but  

anyway I keep the GBPUSD 00, USDJPY   000 and then I just mix it so EURUSD 

is 12 and EURJPY will be 13. OK? but  that's one more time my system you can do it as  

you feel comfortable. So GBPUSD, I will leave  it to 200 I will click on OK and now I have the  

10 strategies for the GBPUSD attached  to 1 chart with 1 Portfolio Expert Advisor.  

OK? That's the difference when you're trading  Portfolio Expert Advisors and when you're trading  

with individual Expert Advisors. So now I will give  it some time for the Expert Advisors to trade, to  

open and close trades and in the next video I will  show you how we follow the results of these Expert  

Advisors and how we select which ones to place  on a real trading account and there you will have  

many opportunities, you can create your own rules  I will just show you some basics that we follow.
