2018 is almost upon us and it's time for
[2]
me to give you my top picks for the
[5]
coming year
[9]
welcome to another video if you have any
[11]
questions drop a comment if you want
[14]
more videos for me hit subscribe so I
[17]
think et apps are a great way to get
[19]
invested in the stock market and these
[22]
are ten ETFs that I think we'll d-do
[24]
especially well in 2018 and beyond for
[28]
that matter you're gonna have the
[30]
tickets here the expense ratio which is
[33]
very important and the dividend which is
[36]
also very important I would first and
[38]
foremost look at the expense ratio after
[41]
you've found out which ETF you want to
[44]
go with so we're gonna start off with a
[47]
China technology index from glow blanks
[51]
it's a very expensive ETF but if you
[54]
want some of these more unique ETF such
[58]
as a technology index for China you're
[61]
gonna have to pay up but it does balance
[65]
it out with a massive dividend there's a
[68]
lot of growth in China and especially in
[70]
the tank sector
[71]
great play this is gonna be my favorite
[75]
ETF period it's van gone high dividend
[78]
yield it's pretty much as cheap as an
[81]
ETF can get only Vanguard has ETF this
[84]
cheap and look at the massive dividend
[87]
this is a US index it's not the SMP but
[91]
it's almost S&P 500 just a little bit
[95]
better in my opinion emerging Asia again
[99]
from well that's from SPDR it's still
[102]
pretty expensive but it is a quite
[104]
unique ETF there's not a lot of emerging
[107]
Asia ETF most of the ETFs in Asia are
[110]
either Japan or China China so this is
[115]
gonna be Indonesia Philippines China and
[120]
India not Japan and South Korea
[123]
pretty good dividend still next one is
[127]
gonna be a very special one its
[129]
financial technology or aka FinTech it's
[134]
another expensive one from global X
[138]
X is the company providing the most
[140]
unique and sort of niche market ETFs
[143]
financial technology is basically
[146]
payments so companies like visa and
[150]
square MasterCard PayPal etc very good
[155]
industry booming at the moment a lot of
[158]
change especially with cryptocurrencies
[160]
and digital payments and such quite
[164]
expensive and unfortunately no dividend
[168]
moving on to the Vanguard asia-pacific
[171]
ETF pretty much the go-to ETF for Asia
[175]
it's the cheapest you can get also 2.6
[179]
percent dividend which is massive this
[181]
is gonna be the whole of Asia but it's
[183]
obviously getting mostly gonna be China
[186]
and some Japan in there I believe
[189]
Vanguard emerging markets the go-to
[192]
emerging market ETF very very cheap
[195]
great dividend so this is gonna be
[199]
emerging Europe as well as emerging Asia
[202]
maybe's Umbra's Brazil in there as well
[205]
but of course no US and not a lot of
[209]
Western Europe in there another
[212]
expensive ETF from global X once again
[215]
this is the artificial intelligence and
[218]
robotics ETF I'm personally invested in
[221]
this one
[221]
it's pretty much in my opinion maybe the
[224]
most important industry right now this
[226]
is all about automation of manufacturing
[230]
and artificial intelligence and
[232]
autonomous driving and such so a lot of
[235]
very important technology companies in
[238]
their vanguard information technology
[242]
ETF this is my go-to tech ETF for the US
[246]
it's pretty much the Nasdaq but again
[249]
since its Vanguard it's the cheapest and
[251]
it has a pretty good dividend of 1%
[255]
I think the tech sector will generally
[257]
outperform the general market so this is
[260]
a good ETF to look for off do you have
[263]
some money in the classic S&P 500 ETFs
[269]
this is going to be s
[271]
PDR biotech another very up and down
[275]
industry but booming at the moment very
[279]
little dividend to speak of biotech
[281]
companies are generally smaller
[283]
companies very risky a lot of growth but
[286]
very up and down you know depending on
[288]
what sort of licenses they get for drugs
[291]
and and and and gene testing and stuff
[294]
so there so a very risky industry but
[297]
good potential for growth and not too
[299]
expensive actually the last one is gonna
[303]
be i share select dividend so this is
[306]
gonna be selected us dividend-paying
[309]
companies it's pretty much as cheap as
[312]
possible and it has the highest dividend
[315]
together with qqc so cheap great
[319]
dividend you know this is basically
[321]
you're going to dividend ETF for us if
[325]
you want to really really high yield so
[329]
these are ten i'm definitely think
[331]
you're going to outperform the general
[333]
market for 2018 now remember ETFs are
[337]
not gonna blow it out of the water
[338]
they're not gonna do thirty forty
[341]
percent a year but you can definitely
[343]
get up towards fifteen twenty percent in
[346]
a good year and put the dividend on top
[348]
of that and you have yourself a great
[350]
year so let me know if you're invested
[354]
in any of these or you're looking into
[356]
buying one of them or if there's any ET
[358]
apps you think you're gonna do well in
[360]
2018 as always if you want to know more
[363]
about ETFs or my personal favorites
