ZIY018 - What is ZiyenCoin? It is an ERC20 Equity Security Token - YouTube

Channel: BOOM! It's on the Blockchain

[5]
Hi, good afternoon. My name is Alastair Caithness. I'm the CEO of Ziyen Inc.
[10]
So for today's video blog,
[12]
I'm going to speak about the token structure of ZiyenCoin.
[15]
So what is ZiyenCoin? Well, essentially what ZiyenCoin is,
[20]
it's in digital security. Essentially,
[22]
the way you've got to think about it is like a fractional share. So,
[28]
for our current shareholders, for every share you've got,
[31]
you can actually swap this for 100 ZiyenCoin's.
[35]
That's why, I mean it's a fractional share. Now where, is it going?
[40]
It's going onto the blockchain. The technical name of it is,
[44]
it's an ERC 20 token.
[47]
It's on the Ethereum blockchain and it's on there under Regulation D 506C and
[54]
Regulation S. So when people invest through these two offerings,
[58]
this is how they acquire ZiyenCoin.
[61]
Now what's interesting about it is rather than having your security held in
[65]
terms of a share in private companies before they go public, you know,
[70]
you'll have the share certificate held in your drawer.
[73]
What you'll have is the transfer agent also hold this information,
[76]
we all know this information that you all know this information,
[79]
but realistically what's happening with these digital securities and why I
[83]
believe that we so big going forward.
[85]
Because essentially what it's doing is allowing companies to take advantage of
[88]
the blockchain. So when you acquire ZiyenCoin, think of it,
[93]
you're acquiring now this digital security under this new SEC 506c
[99]
security token offering. Now where's it held? Well,
[102]
it's actually held in a MetaMask wallet or any other Etherium wallet.
[107]
And you actually have control of this. Now it's actually on the blockchain.
[112]
So you can actually go on to the blockchain,
[115]
look up ZiyenCoin on a website like Etherscan,
[118]
and you can actually see your ownership of ZiyenCoin.
[123]
Now people will say, oh, that's the same as Bitcoin.
[126]
It's not the same as Bitcoin because ZiyenCoin is on a permission blockchain
[131]
same way as Libra is on a permission blockchain.
[133]
So it's on a permission blockchain and the whole loop is secured.
[138]
So if you end up losing your wallet and you wanted to get your ZiyenCoins,
[143]
put into a different wallet,
[145]
because you've gone through KYC is all we would need is your social security and
[150]
passport and then we can reassign it to you or our transfer agent can reassign
[154]
the coins back to you whereby if you have Bitcoin in your lost your wallet,
[158]
you would actually lose your investment. So think about the differences.
[161]
The differences being in ZiyenCoin is within government control and it's highly
[168]
regulated whereby Bitcoin is on a public blockchain and it's out with government
[175]
control and it's not regulated.
[177]
That's why the Bitcoin purists say that this is not a cryptocurrency.
[183]
It's actually people don't know about it say its a cryptocurrency.
[186]
All the Bitcoin people call it a stablecoin,
[189]
or in our case it's an ERC 20 equity token.
[193]
So what do you own if you own ZiyenCoin? Well,
[196]
essentially you just own a piece of equity, a percentage of the company.
[201]
And that essentially is it.
[203]
The exciting thing is that you're now in control of your investment because
[207]
you've now got this wallet where your investment is held and as the tokens come
[213]
online or get minted,
[215]
so we've used the company Polymath and they mint our tokens.
[219]
So every time we get a new investor, we mint their tokens.
[222]
It goes into their Etherium wallet.
[224]
And while it is actually in their Etherium wallet,
[227]
it's actually restricted for 12 months under the SEC regulation.
[231]
So what happens after 12 months, well after 12 months it becomes free trading.
[235]
You can move these tokens about,
[237]
but obviously at that point we want to get a secondary trading platform or what
[242]
you would call as an ATS,
[244]
someone like Open Finance or tZero for somewhere to list these tokens in order
[249]
for you to actually convert them to sell them and get them more liquidity.
[253]
But essentially that is what ZiyenCoin is.
[257]
And if you invest in ZiyenCoin, that is what you will own.
[262]
So thanks very much.
[264]
I'll leave information below if you would like to get in touch and find out more
[268]
about ZiyenCoin then please do. Thanks very much. Have a nice day.
