would not buy at BJ's Wholesale Club and

that is a lot of Apple products but in

particular iPads I think a lot of you

guys when you are shopping at BJ's
[46]
whether it's online or in-store at
[48]
another wholesale Club you see an iPad
[50]
and you get excited and they Park them
[52]
prominently beside a lot of other deals
[54]
and you think you should stock up for
[56]
whatever reason when they even put crazy
[58]
things in place like limit 3 per member
[60]
why would you even want to buy one of
[63]
these because the exact same product of
[65]
the most recent of the Wi-Fi iPads 32
[68]
gigs is 249 with a free year of Apple TV
[73]
from Best Buy
[74]
so again number one of what I would not
[77]
buy do not buy an iPad do not consider
[79]
other Apple products they are usually
[81]
cheaper at Best Buy the $80 off at Best
[85]
Buy versus the $10 off at BJ's is
[87]
obviously significantly more enticing
[89]
the second group of products I do not
[91]
recommend buying from BJ's Wholesale
[93]
Club where a typical Warehouse is
[94]
cooking oil now generally you're not
[97]
going to find these cute little cooking
[98]
oils that I have in my hands right here

you're going to find things that are
[101]
significantly larger and a reminder that
[104]
once you open a large cooking oil they
[106]
generally go bad and should be consumed
[108]
within two to three months whether it's
[111]
a bulk purchase or they are all grouped
[113]
together you are going to find that in
[114]
many cases the cooking oil will expire
[117]
before you can consume it of course if
[118]
you have a large family then don't
[120]
necessarily pay attention to that word
[122]
of advice but if you're a family of four
[124]
or three and you do an average of
[126]
cooking and grilling you're going to
[128]
find that you're better off at the
[130]
grocery store when it comes to that
[131]
number of products in the number three

spot of what you should not buy at the

BJ's Wholesale Club or another warehouse

club for a lot of cases you will find

luggage deals like the one that I'm

going to show you right now are not that

fantastic a lot of the time you're using

travelers choice and travel select and
[148]
these brands which are decent depending
[151]
on what's being offered around Black
[153]
Friday or Cyber Monday but on a non
[155]
Black Friday or Cyber Monday occasion

you're going to find that your luggage
[160]
sets with more ratings and more stock or
[164]
better at Amazon thirty nine eighty two
[167]
versus this $45.99 I realize they're not
[169]
identical sets but a lot of these in my
[172]
unboxing have come through the same
[174]
factories they just tack on slightly
[175]
different names so whether it's a

Kenneth Cole luggage set or American
[179]
Tourister or travel select there's a lot
[181]
of similarities between those luggage
[183]
lines and I would not recommend buying
[186]
them at at BJ's Wholesale Club in the
[188]
number four spot of what I would not buy
[190]
at a BJ's Wholesale Club blu-ray movies
[193]
and DVDs these are strategically placed
[195]
by the cash register or sometimes beside
[197]
the snacks where you have those impulse
[199]
buys and you see a movie in you you love
[201]
it or it's one that resonates with you
[203]
and you quickly grab it on the way out
[204]
and there's a price tag on it that
[206]
doesn't necessarily correlate with
[207]
anything because you can watch that
[209]
movie for free I have found that the
[212]
vast majority of the movies that I've
[214]
seen advertised at BJ's are available on
[216]
Netflix prime video or crackle which is
[219]
a free legal TV service and if you are
[222]
looking to figure out how to enjoy great
[224]
TV for free there's a video for that on

this youtube channel don't forget to

subscribe in the number five spot of

what I would not buy at the BJ's
[231]
Wholesale Club diapers I don't wear them
[236]
but I'm a dad and my two-year-old
[237]
daughter does and from having gone
[240]
through the diaper journey like so many
[241]
parents watching right now the
[244]
quantities of diapers available at BJ's
[247]
in some cases are just completely insane
[249]
you might get a very good deal but the
[251]
192 count of Pampers Swaddlers diapers
[254]
not a realistic number for parents with
[256]
kids that can outgrow diapers very
[258]
quickly their bodies change quickly
[260]
they're sizing changes and loading up on
[262]
diapers that will last you unless you
[264]
have twins or triplets probably well
[267]
past the exact size you need I highly
[271]
recommend Walmart or some of the other
[273]
diaper subscription services from Amazon
[275]
where you will find comparable prices
[278]
per count and then promotions which are
[280]
also great that don't require you to buy
[282]
out every diaper in the store in the
[284]
number 6 spot of what I would not buy at
[287]
BJ's Wholesale Club bleach is on that
[289]
list and it's not quite the same as what
[292]
I mentioned with regards to oil now the
[293]
bleach quantities are very large and
[296]
whether it's a laundry detergent like
[298]
this or a bleach alternative or bleach
[300]
itself you're going to find that many of
[302]
the coupons they pass along are also
[304]
available on other websites and these
[307]
products break down quickly I realize
[310]
that the shelf life of bleach is
[312]
recommended to be around a year but if
[314]
you do open up that bleach you're gonna
[316]
find that its composition degrades
[318]
faster than that one year market if you
[321]
disagree with me leave me a comment but

I will I will tell you right now those
[324]
large quantities of bleach and laundry
[326]
products are not a great buy in my
[328]
opinion at BJ's Wholesale club's in the
[330]
number seven spot of what I would not
[333]
buy a BJ's Wholesale Club probiotics I'm
[336]
not someone that enjoys probiotics on a
[339]
regular basis but I will tell you many
[341]
of the probiotic products not the
[342]
vitamins not the pills but the actual
[344]
activity and other comparable products
[347]
require refrigeration so I'm gonna tell
[349]
you two things for how I've mapped out
[351]
BJ's and I think there's more than 218
[353]
stores across the United States they're
[355]
not always in the most populated areas
[358]
of a specific community or state for a
[360]
retailer to encompass that level of
[362]
square footage it's it's usually cheaper
[364]
outside of the metropolitan area with
[367]
that being said it's a long drive for a
[369]
lot of us I've noticed that from the
[371]
time you get the probiotic to when you
[372]
go to the cash register to when you go
[374]
to your car to when you finally drive
[375]
home you might have saved 10 cents but
[378]
the actual product which needs constant
[381]
refrigerating or a lot of refrigerating
[384]
might not
[385]
maybe what you want to take home I also
[387]
have some refrigeration concerns
[388]
pertaining to probiotic products at
[390]
different warehouse clubs not BJ's
[392]
actually have not seen this at BJ's but
[394]
by the time the product is moved from
[397]
the stockroom and then and on its card
[399]
and then it makes its way to the shelf
[401]
and the aisles are much longer and they
[403]
are huge vast areas for a product to
[405]
travel to I have not seen concept
[408]
refrigerating and it's a little bit
[409]
different from how supermarkets handle
[410]
that so just throwing that out there is
[412]
a product you may not want to grab and
[414]
the number 8 spot of what I would not
[417]
buy at BJ's Wholesale Club not
[418]
necessarily this brand but I was
[422]
graceful look like a bread this is
[425]
one I tell you about bread a lot of
[426]
people get very excited over their trial
[429]
memberships or BJ's is very generous
[431]
with and sometimes it's the membership
[433]
price you're paying or their savings
[434]
that they impart and you go on and you
[436]
load up on all these things and you see
[437]
the bread discounts if you for example
[440]
shop at Walmart they heavily discount
[442]
their one-day old bread at the bakery
[444]
first thing in the morning after it's
[446]
been in circulation and the other thing
[447]
to keep in mind your grocery store in
[449]
your supermarket they have a lot more
[451]
bread than a wholesale club in terms of
[454]
turnover on a typical day and with
[457]
everything going on in the world right
[458]
now and how people stock up in really
[461]
different ways on bread than they ever
[463]
have grocery stores do not know how to
[465]
handle their inventory effectively and
[466]
I've noticed that the grocery store
[468]
discounts are more aggressive than
[470]
what's being offered at typical
[471]
wholesale clubs including BJ's Oh put
[473]
that in the number 8 spot of what I
[474]
would not buy in the number 9 and do not
[477]
buy at BJ's suggestion spot I'm going to
[480]
throw canned goods well you don't
[482]
actually want to throw them because
[483]
they're there have you can actually hurt
[484]
when you drop them on your toe because
[485]
you're running around your kitchen like
[487]
a crazy person as I am from time to time
[488]
but the canned goods and this is
[490]
actually a thing have a very specific
[493]
tidy or grocery store in terms of
[495]
discounts so the canned goods and jarred
[497]
food come tied to an alliance called the
[500]
canned food alliance and the canned food
[503]
alliance has a strong relationship with
[506]
your local grocery store the deals and
[509]
promotions passed along to grocery
[511]
stores come with a different level of
[514]
aggression and they come with a higher
[516]
velocity and different
[517]
brands and what does that simply mean to
[518]
you you're going to do very well at your
[520]
grocery store a lot of us assume that
[522]
we're always paying more at the grocery
[523]
store or that the razor blades that we
[526]
buy at the drugstore are always highway
[527]
robbery the promotion's passed along at
[530]
certain times over the course of the
[531]
year when you know how to shop are
[533]
actually much more aggressive at certain
[535]
places like a drugstore like a grocery
[536]
store it's just not day-in day-out a
[538]
wholesale warehouse club like BJ's
[540]
imparts year-round savings in almost
[543]
every category but they can't do every
[544]
category perfectly which is why I have
[546]
this top 10 list so you're going to find
[549]
that this would be an exception to the
[550]
rule I would not buy canned goods and if
[552]
you do your price comparisons you're
[553]
gonna see that they actually are much
[554]
cheaper in your supermarket at different
[556]
intervals over the course of the year
[558]
and the number 10 spot of what I would
[560]
not buy condiments and in particular
[563]
condiment packs that look like this and
[565]
a variety of others that are with a
[567]
larger quantity the average shelf-life
[571]
of ketchup mustard mayonnaise somewhere
[574]
between three five six and if you're
[577]
lucky nine months and for a lot of these
[579]
discounts that are passed along to
[580]
wholesale clubs they don't begin with
[582]
the longest shelf-life the condiments
[585]
are discounted by the intermediary or a
[587]
distributor and passed along to the
[589]
wholesale clubs at a discount but unless
[591]
you are throwing a large backyard picnic
[593]
or hosting a party or you barbecue every
[595]
day or your daughter has an obsession
[598]
with ketchup like mine does even though
[599]
we're really trying to get her in a
[600]
barbecue sauce because I think that's
[601]
more fun I would not buy the condiments
[605]
from a wholesale club including BJ's and
[607]
that is that's a weird punch that I just
[609]
did that is that so awkward today what's

going on that is my top 10 list of what

I would not buy at BJ's if you have a
