[18]
so personally I think the solution to
[20]
all the world's problems is education if
[22]
kids can keep their minds active and
[24]
learning when they're young they turn
[25]
into smart responsible adults today I'm
[28]
at my local Boys and Girls Club which is
[30]
a safe place for kids to come and keep
[32]
their minds active and productive in
[34]
their downtime and at this Boys and
[36]
Girls Club they left the facility today
[39]
with a TV this size and they'll be
[42]
returning tomorrow with the TV this size
[45]
this is an 86 inch LG Nano cell TV and
[50]
I'll be mounting it on this wall for the
[52]
kids it should be pretty fun especially
[54]
in a room this size the large TV will
[56]
fit perfectly the Boys and Girls Club is
[58]
a National Organization that's been
[60]
around for about a hundred years and
[62]
since it's a second home to a lot of
[64]
kids they're definitely deserving of a
[66]
new TV huge thanks to LG for sponsoring
[68]
this video let's get started
[72]
foreign
[73]
[Music]
[85]
unboxing the TV once again is easy
[87]
enough LG makes it easy with just one
[89]
piece of tape along the top and then six
[91]
of these little black plastic things
[93]
that hold two halves of the cardboard
[95]
together
[98]
once each of those are out the two
[100]
halves can fall apart and the TV is very
[102]
well protected with a bunch of white
[104]
styrofoam
[106]
and a giant metallic bag which keeps the
[110]
aliens from commandeering the TV during
[112]
Transit actually I have no idea but it
[114]
looks cool
[124]
even without turning it on I think the
[127]
kids are going to be pretty pumped to uh
[129]
replace their current unit with this one
[131]
so Inside the Box the TV does come with
[134]
the little legs of its own but we are
[136]
going to mount it to the wall to kind of
[137]
keep it out of Arm's Reach and to have
[140]
it you know a little more permanent and
[141]
out of the way
[143]
so the back of this Mammoth TV has four
[146]
screw holes right here and then over
[149]
here I've already put this bracket in
[151]
place and then this bracket is the thing
[153]
that Clips onto the wall after we take
[155]
that mini TV down
[158]
the little black spacers are to make
[160]
sure that the screws don't go through
[163]
too far or Too Deep because if they go
[166]
too deep it might damage the screen
[171]
okay
[173]
looks like their wall used to be purple
[174]
now the whole wall will almost be black
[178]
so if you're gonna install this TV in
[180]
like a theater room or something
[180]
normally you want the TV to be eye level
[183]
with wherever you're sitting so you're
[185]
not straining your neck to like look up
[186]
at it or anything like that but since
[188]
this is going in an area where people
[190]
are going to be standing for one and
[192]
there's lots of kids around we want it
[194]
to be at least four and a half feet from
[196]
the ground so we're going to install it
[198]
a little bit higher than we normally
[199]
would in your theater room
[203]
all right so we have currently found the
[205]
center of the wall and we have the
[207]
height that we want the top of the mount
[210]
to be and now we're just going to level
[212]
them out so the TV will be level when
[214]
we're done with it
[216]
so in the past you've seen me Mount TVs
[218]
on like a normal wall with a wood
[220]
backing this wall is made out of
[221]
concrete blocks which is a totally
[223]
different ball game this is a carbide
[225]
tip drill bit and we're using a hammer
[228]
drill to make the holes for the bracket
[230]
the difference between a hammer drill
[232]
and a regular drill is that a regular
[233]
drill just turns around a hammer drill
[236]
[Applause]
[238]
actually hammers at the same time it's
[241]
rotated which is extremely useful when
[243]
we're trying to go through concrete
[245]
I'll put a piece of tape around the
[246]
drill bit so I don't actually drill too
[248]
deep
[250]
foreign
[251]
[Music]
[257]
[Applause]
[262]
so the mount is currently hanging on the
[264]
wall it has been tested to 500 pounds
[267]
the bolts we put in there are Way Beyond
[269]
that and the TV only weighs 115 so we
[273]
should be plenty safe up there now it's
[275]
time to lift it up and hang it
[287]
higher
[289]
I mean you in I think so
[294]
double check oh
[296]
and it's not falling
[303]
oh
[305]
all right it is on the wall and that's
[309]
so much bigger than the one that was
[310]
here before
[311]
it's pretty crazy so one thing that is
[314]
nice about hanging it is that there are
[316]
these little uh styrofoam things on the
[318]
side so you don't want to put too much
[319]
pressure on the screen as you're lifting
[320]
it up most of the pressure needs to be
[322]
underneath and behind because those are
[325]
much more structural and not as fragile
[327]
Moment of Truth
[331]
there we go
[337]
press the OK button here on your remote
[345]
so at the beginning of this video I said
[346]
this was a nano cell TV which means it's
[350]
a bit different technology than what
[351]
we've seen on oleds in the past this
[354]
particular technology is made up of a
[356]
nanoparticle filter which kind of
[358]
refines the projected image and makes
[361]
what you see right here in 4k that
[364]
nanoparticle filter is able to filter
[366]
out and reduce the impure colors and
[369]
just leave behind the true colors that
[371]
are more Vivid and color accurate it's
[373]
similar to the LCD screen technology
[375]
where it has the projected image in the
[378]
front and a backlight behind it the
[381]
backlight is still LED so it's still
[383]
power efficient and has realistic colors
[385]
and still projects its 4K image at 120
[388]
hertz which if you've been paying
[389]
attention to Modern cell phones 120
[391]
hertz is a really fast refresh rate plus
[394]
with the speakers built directly into
[396]
the TV right behind the image it gives
[399]
the sound a more three-dimensional
[400]
effect so actually I kind of lied about
[403]
LG donating a TV to to the Boys and
[405]
Girls Club because they're not just
[407]
donating one TV they're actually
[409]
donating to because the Nano cell TV
[412]
also comes in 8k this is a 75 inch 8K
[416]
Nano cell TV and it's going to a
[418]
different Boys and Girls Club that's
[420]
also nearby but I think they're going to
[422]
be pretty excited about this one that
[423]
same Nano cell technology with the
[425]
nanoparticle filter in front can be
[427]
condensed down to display even more
[430]
pixels 8K resolution has quadrupled the
[433]
pixels of a 4K screen which is pretty
[435]
impressive and Nano cell is more
[437]
economically priced than some of the
[439]
other TVs that we've seen so if you're
[441]
looking for a massive TV for your home
[443]
theater setup or living room Nano cell
[445]
might just be the way to go since
[447]
there's not a whole lot of content
[448]
that's actually filmed in 8k resolution
[451]
LG has stuck in an A9 gen 3 AI processor
[454]
that does the upscaling from regular
[456]
1080P or 4K images and kind of changes
[458]
them into 8K so everything just looks
[461]
better huge thanks to LG for sponsoring
[463]
this video and for donating two massive
[466]
TVs to a good cause I'm sure the boys
[468]
and girls at the Boys and Girls Club are
[469]
going to appreciate it greatly now I'm
[471]
going to box this one up and take it
[473]
down to the other facility I'll leave a
[475]
link down in the description if you want
[476]
to check out the current pricing of the
[478]
4K or 8K Nano cell if you have any
[481]
questions leave them down in the
[482]
comments come hang out with me on
[483]
Instagram and Twitter and thanks a ton
[485]
for watching I'll see you around
