Hello everyone, how are you doing today? I've brought a new video with me today.

You must have guessed from the title of today's video that our topic

is how much it costs for us to come to Canada as a student.

So, if you're applying for a student visa, you should be aware that there are 6-7 or 8 different types of expenses that we must bear if we want to come to Canada.

So we'll talk about that today, but first and foremost, please accept my apologies for not being able to make a vlog for so long. It's been 7/8 days.

The second issue is that the weather outside is between -30 and -35 degrees, making it difficult to film outside.

But, for the time being, I'm simply doing informative videos, and now that the weather is improving, you'll start seeing vlogs as well.

So, let's talk about today's video; I'll tell you everything about the costs, but first and foremost, I please like the video, so let's get started.

So, first, if you want to come to Canada, the first big expense. As soon as your 12th grade is completed, your results have arrived, and the results of any of your degrees have arrived, you must take the IELTS exam.

So the IELTs exam is very important for the SDS category. If you don't know what the SDS category is, you can watch a video on my channel where I explained the SDS category in detail,

including what it is and what items are included in it, as well as the clauses in it. You can go and check it out.

So the IELTS exam is quite crucial for the SDS category. As you may be aware, the standards are not less than 6 bands for 12th grade students

and not less than 6.5 bands for bachelor's students, which is the minimum requirement.

So, for this, you must take the IELTS exam, which costs around ₹ 14000 in India if you do not take any coaching.

If you take coaching, your expenses would undoubtedly rise, and a month's coaching charge in India ranges between 5000 and 10,000 rupees.

which is a huge amount, But let me tell you something fantastic in today's video: I cooperated with Leap Scholar,

and they've started their IELTS courses as well as free master classes.

So if you don't require IELTS coaching, like I did, went for 10-15 days

and paid the full month fee of 6000 or 7000. I didn't think I needed this much; all I wanted to know was the fundamentals of how things worked.

So, for this, they have launched free master classes, which you can see if you go to their website, and I will also show you their website.

The second point is that if you need a little more coaching, they have introduced a 5-week course that you can study online only on Mondays and Fridays, so you can do it for 1 hour every day.

The most important aspect is that the teachers there have a deep expertise of more than 20 years.

You will find various things on their site such as an English Grammer's club, a separate English speaking community, later on you will have doubt clearing sessions, and if you want aid with essay writing,

they will help you with that as well. They will provide all of the items that you require in that product, in addition to vocabulary and so on.

So I thought I'd tell you about it, and now I'll take you to my laptop screen and show you how to book their classes for Rs.499. and a free session.

If I didn't tell you or you didn't listen carefully, I'll tell you that you can acquire their 5-week course for just 499 rupees, and you can go check it out.

When you arrive at Leap Scholar's website, you will find the option of IELTS, and as you scroll down, you will see free live sessions that you can reserve.

However, keep in mind that it will only provide you a general picture of everything.

And if you want to take their 5-week course, it costs only Rs 499.

As I previously stated, I paid 6000 rupees for a period of 15-20 days. So you can book this, which goes from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.,

and if you need to brush up on your skills, it will be ideal. There are live lessons, 1:1 evaluations, discussions regarding exam trends and analyses, and mock tests.

The good news is that they also provide student counselling and other services. If you want to come to Canada or go somewhere else, and you want to learn more about such services, you can do that.

So this was the IELTS system. So, with or without preparation, good bands can appear in your IELTS.

If I talk about a one-time exam that costs Rs 13500-14000 and you practice for one month at a cost of 6000 rupees,

your IELTS will cost you Rs 20000, which is the first and most expensive expenditure.

Your application fee is the second stage. If you want to come to Canada and apply to colleges,

most colleges do not charge an application fee. However, certain colleges, such as Seneca and Humber, charge a 50-100 dollar application fee.

o, if you apply to three colleges, it would cost you between 10,000 and 15,000 rupees.

So, first, there's the IELTS charge, and then there's your application fee.

Now, as soon as you receive the offer letter from them, which might take up to 1.5 months to arrive; in some situations, it will arrive early, while in others, it will be late.

Following that, you must pay the fee. Now pay attention to this.

First and foremost, if you are coming to do a diploma, the fee ranges from 16000 to 20000 dollars, or 8,8.5 to close to 10 lakhs for two semesters, or one year.

If you need to apply to universities, the cost can be as high as 50-60 lakhs.

So, whether you have a scholarship or not, if you want to pursue a master's degree or an MBA, the fees are extremely exorbitant.

So, if someone is coming for a postgraduate diploma, the expenses can be up to 9-10 lakhs for one year, as I did an undergraduate diploma.

So far, the only costs have been the cost of the IELTS, the application fee, and your course fee.

Following that is the GIC step, which I have also made a video for anyone who is unfamiliar with it.

So, a GIC is a Guaranteed Investment Certificate, which we must deposit  at any Canadian Bank, and the benefit is that we receive 2000$ for the first month and 670$ every month for the next 11 months.

So this is also an expense for us, which is $10,000, plus a $200 Scotia bank fee (if you do it via CIBC, there is no price). So, depending on the exchange rate, we'll have to spend roughly 5.5 lakhs in Indian currency

Following the GIC and fees, the Health Checkup for Visa is the next step.

Its pricing ranges from 5000 to 10000 rupees, but it is also higher, and I had a tattoo on my forearm, so I had to pay an extra 1000 rupees.

As a result, the health checkup will cost between Rs 5000 and Rs 10000. As a result, all of these expenses, including the fee, GIC, and health checkup, must be paid after the offer letter is received.

When you have completed these three steps and have all of your documentation (fee documents, GIC deposit confirmation letter from the bank, and health checkup documents), you can apply for a Visa.

So the final major step is to apply for a visa, which costs roughly 8000 rupees. So all of these measures were taken up until the visa was obtained.

First, there are the IELTs, then the application fee, then the college fee, then the GIC, then the health checkup, and finally the visa.

However, the expenses do not stop here, as you have completed all of the necessary processes. Now that you have your visa, you must arrange your flight.

Since I had to arrive in January, I booked my flight around November 15th.

It costs between 50000 and 100000 rupees. Mine was 52000/53000. For an emergency flight it would be around 1 lakh.

I received some credit card points, which reduced the cost of my flight by ₹ 10,000.

So our final two major expenses are shopping and cash with us.

So shopping totally depends on you , but I'll tell you that shopping can cost up to 50,000 rupees.

But , in some cases it would be lower or higher than 50000.

So I took the luggage bags, one for 5000 rupees,as well as the rest of the clothes and so on.

I didn't bought the heavy coats because I knew the winters here would be different from those in India. I had purchased sweatshirts and jeans, thus I had spent a total of 35000 rupees on clothes and 15000 on bags, so the total was be 50000.

Finally, you'll need to have cash or a currency card with you.

It is preferable if you have money; I brought a bit more, around $1200, but it is not necessary because 500-600 is also a lot.

However, Covid is now happening, and if you are planning on visiting at this period, please plan accordingly. How much does your AirBNB quarantine, as well as your food bills for 14 days, cost you?This might cost you additional money.

But when I arrived before COVID, I packed $1200, which was more because you could get a GIC for $2,000 as soon as you arrived.

If you want, bring $400-600 dollars if you are coming in regular time; the rest I've already told you.

So all of these fees were significant. I told you about every single expense that you could incur if you wanted to visit Canada. While there could be  some differences, such as if you have to take IELTS 2-3 times,

it will still cost you more money, or if your visa is cancelled and you have to apply again, it may cost you more money.

So it will fluctuate a little and cost up to Rs.17-18 lakhs.

I paid 16-17 lakhs because my fee was a little low; now, the fee is a little high.
