The Secret to Free Crypto Airdrops ($1,200+) - YouTube
Channel: Max Maher
[3]
However, in order to increase
[4]
how much you can earn with airdrops,
[6]
there are some best practices that you must follow,
[9]
as well as some severe red flags that you must avoid,
[12]
because an avoidable mistake here can cost you
[15]
your entire crypto wallet,
[17]
and we're going to prove that.
[18]
So what is an airdrop exactly?
[20]
If you've never heard the word, you might be picturing
[22]
some kind of like, Navy Seal diving operation, but
[24]
it's not quite that cool.
[32]
Essentially a thanks for being a customer.
[34]
Airdrops don't happen exclusively with
[36]
tokens that launch, but it's a pretty common occurrence.
[39]
The first airdrop that started it all was the
[41]
Uniswap drop that happened in September 2020.
[44]
At the time of launch, anyone who used the
[46]
Uniswap decentralized exchange exchange at least once
[48]
received approximately 400 UNI tokens,
[51]
which was worth $1,200 at the time.
[53]
Uniswap was basically sending out
[55]
free stimulus checks.
[56]
And for a recent example, on November 3,
[58]
the ENS protocol announced that they would be
[60]
issuing $ENS governance tokens,
[62]
and 25% of all those tokens
[64]
would be distributed to eligible users through an airdrop.
[67]
ENS is a domain name service based on Ethereum.
[71]
Those who registered a .ETH domain name before October 31
[75]
were eligible to receive those free ENS tokens.
[77]
And some even received as much as six figures
[80]
from this drop.
[81]
And this made me really curious about investigating
[83]
more airdrops because who doesn't like free money?
[86]
Let's face it, the general direction of
[89]
crypto markets is bullish.
[90]
I mean, Matt Damon is doing ads for crypto.com,
[93]
- Fortune favors the brave.
[95]
- Post Malone is doing ads for NFTs now.
[97]
That's big for the crypto industry.
[99]
Anywhere you look, it appears that
[103]
and this acceleration will increase the demand
[105]
for more decentralized applications.
[107]
That means more opportunities to
[109]
earn big airdrops
[110]
and earn more on your crypto investments.
[112]
Wait until I show you one airdrop I found this week
[115]
that is enough for me to live off of
[117]
for more than a year,
[118]
and I promise it's not what you think.
[120]
We'll cover that later in this video.
[121]
Also, a Channel Announcement:
[122]
We are running a Black Friday deal!
[125]
We've added daily signals to the Patreon.
[127]
So now you get this on top of additional private content,
[130]
my buy alerts, weekly coaching,
[132]
and a private community all for as little as $10 a month.
[135]
And we're running a Black Friday-only deal
[138]
where if you purchase a one year membership
[140]
of our high tier offer,
[142]
you will get my YouTube course completely free,
[145]
more than $500 in savings!
[147]
This is huge. That will be linked in the description.
[149]
Now, here's the best practice to
[150]
increase your odds of randomly
[152]
waking up one day with some free money
[154]
landing in your crypto wallet.
[157]
So you wanna start by writing a list of
[159]
applications in crypto which don't have tokens.
[162]
You wanna find platforms or services with no native token,
[165]
the bigger the platform or service, the better
[167]
because if they launch a token,
[168]
you can be more certain that that token will do very well.
[171]
And you probably want to break this down by type.
[173]
So first you could have wallets
[174]
like MetaMask, Yoroi or Phantom,
[177]
then NFT Marketplaces like OpenSea or SolSea,
[180]
or Layer 2 scaling solutions like Arbitrum.
[182]
None of these players currently have tokens,
[184]
and they would be perfect candidates for
[186]
airdrops, and it isn't limited to that list.
[188]
You'll be able to find far more and
[189]
feel free to comment yours down below.
[192]
Now, once you have your list,
[193]
all you have to do is simply use those services.
[195]
The more you use them, of course, the better.
[197]
But it can be as simple as just having a
[199]
free wallet or a free account.
[201]
Now, one potential big airdrop that
[203]
everyone is hyping up right now and maybe
[205]
coming next year is MetaMask.
[207]
Now, I haven't been able to find
[208]
anything stating that this will absolutely happen,
[211]
but the rumors are there, the murmurs are there.
[213]
I went to Google and I typed in MetaMask token 馃樇
[215]
and I found a story on the first page
[217]
where the founder of ConsenSys
[219]
had something to say about this
[220]
potential MetaMask token.
[222]
(Joseph) tweeted "Wen $MASK? Stay tuned"
[225]
That's really interesting.
[226]
If it were anybody else,
[227]
I probably wouldn't give it much thought but,
[229]
this dude is one of the co-founders of Ethereum.
[232]
This is no doubt creating a lot
[234]
of hype around the speculation
[236]
of a MetaMask token.
[238]
As we demonstrated with Uniswap,
[239]
the purpose of airdrops is to
[241]
to reward early users of their platform.
[243]
Now, in order to be eligible for a Mask token airdrop,
[247]
you probably would need more than just a wallet
[249]
because they have so many users at this point.
[252]
So you could increase the odds of your
[254]
airdrop eligibility on MetaMask
[256]
by using the protocol to swap some tokens.
[259]
I'll show you what I mean by making a
[260]
transaction on MetaMask. It's super easy.
[262]
All you have to do is open the application and
[264]
click on the "Swap" button and then choose
[266]
which assets you would like to swap,
[268]
review and swap,
[269]
if you can tolerate the gas fees.
[271]
- Oh my god
[272]
- I'm never gonna financially recover from this.
[275]
- Now, of course, none of this is guaranteed.
[277]
We don't know for certain
[278]
who will have tokens and who won't.
[280]
The goal behind getting the most
[282]
airdrops possible is by spreading out our odds
[284]
and being a user of many services
[286]
who don't yet have tokens.
[288]
This is because we're not sure if MetaMask or
[290]
anyone else will end up doing a token drop.
[293]
So spread out those odds.
[294]
Now spreading out our odds brings me
[297]
to the next part of the story,
[299]
something that you need to be careful of.
[303]
and you need to understand how these scams work.
[305]
That way you can avoid them.
[307]
And because I don't want you to lose money,
[312]
So over the past several weeks,
[314]
I've been playing around with Binance
[315]
to learn more about some potential airdrops
[318]
on that chain.
[319]
And I was on an app called PooCoin,
[321]
yes, PooCoin 馃挬
[322]
and I noticed I had almost an entire Bitcoin
[325]
worth of airdrops, so I thought to myself,
[330]
while making a video about airdrops.
[332]
This airdrop led me to a
[333]
website I haven't heard of before called ARKR.org
[337]
I've never touched this protocol,
[339]
so the red flags were already flying.
[341]
And I go to the site,
[342]
and first I see two spots
[344]
where it says Get Airdrop.
[346]
These are calls to action
[347]
that you need to be aware of when detecting scams.
[349]
After some further research,
[351]
I found that the site is actually a
[352]
clone of another site called KCCMemepad.com
[356]
Because of this, I'm almost certain that
[358]
this ARkR site is either a
[360]
dust scam, or it will drain my wallet completely
[363]
if I interact with it.
[364]
So let's test it out.
[365]
I busted out an old laptop,
[366]
I installed MetaMask on it,
[367]
I've added some funds and now
[369]
let's scam ourselves.
[370]
So I'm going to click airdrop
[372]
and I bet that it will request
[374]
that I allow the site to interact with my wallet.
[377]
That's how these scams typically work.
[378]
All right.
[380]
Yep.
[381]
Connect.
[383]
Here goes nothing.
[384]
[Intense Music]
[386]
馃槰
[387]
馃拃
[390]
馃サ
[395]
Too bad, it doesn't drain my account right away.
[397]
This would make for far better drama,
[399]
but now we wait.
[400]
And there it is. I'm officially
[402]
part of the Rug Pull Survivors Club.
[404]
We should have T-shirts made.
[406]
Now as funny as this is,
[407]
it is really a problem.
[408]
Decentralized applications need to put
[410]
better protections in place to protect
[412]
retail users from this kind of thing.
[415]
I also went on BscScan and noticed
[417]
that there were people who are trying to
[419]
trade this token with pending transactions.
[421]
Do not do that.
[422]
Now, this is scary, but it's avoidable.
[425]
If you see a random token in your wallet
[427]
not affiliated to anything you've interacted with,
[431]
It's very likely a scam.
[432]
If you're unsure, do some searching online
[434]
and see what the Internet has to say about that token.
[437]
Apart from being cautious of scam drops,
[439]
one of the most important things I learned about airdrops
[441]
is they're not always easy to receive.
[444]
I read an article about a token launch
[446]
called ParaSwap,
[447]
And I found out that the requirements to get in were
[449]
actually quite exclusive and
[451]
many people were hoping to get this PSP token
[453]
but either received nothing or a tiny amount.
[457]
So I thought this is an interesting example
[459]
and I looked into this further.
[460]
ParaSwap launched a token just a few days ago
[461]
and here are some of the tokenomics.
[463]
150 million tokens or 7.5%
[466]
of the PSP's total supply of 2 billion
[468]
will be airdropped to 20,000 early users.
[471]
Now 7% is pretty low when we compare it to
[474]
airdrops we saw earlier in this video
[475]
like $ENS.
[476]
And then I saw many people on Twitter complaining,
[479]
as people on Twitter do best,
[480]
that they either didn't qualify
[482]
or they were unhappy with the amount of tokens
[484]
that they received through this airdrop.
[486]
One guy even made a video about it.
[487]
- You know how much time
[488]
I spent on ParaSwap?
[490]
Hours and hours.
[492]
And what do I get for this?
[493]
One measly 10k airdrop.
[497]
- While this is a little bit dramatic,
[498]
he actually makes some valid points.
[500]
He says he spent countless hours on the platform
[502]
with over 200 different wallets that he used
[504]
and spent large amounts in trading fees
[507]
and received a relatively small amount.
[509]
He still received quite a bit.
[511]
So lesson learned: No matter how active
[513]
you are on a platform, it doesn't mean
[515]
you're guaranteed to get a massive airdrop
[517]
when a new token launches.
[519]
Again, this is why it's best to spread out your odds.
[521]
And finally, I want to take what we learned
[523]
in the MetaMask example,
[524]
and apply to some other applications that I'm
[526]
keeping a close eye on for potential
[528]
airdrops in the future.
[529]
One big one is Arbitrum.
[531]
Arbitrum doesn't have a token currently
[534]
and they are one of the most popular
[536]
Layer 2 scaling solutions.
[537]
If you're unfamiliar with what a Layer 2 scaling solution is,
[540]
this is basically infrastructure on the blockchain
[543]
that allows Ethereum to be faster and have
[545]
cheaper transactions.
[546]
I read that configuring Arbitrum on MetaMask
[549]
is a potential way you might be eligible
[551]
in the future for an Arbitrum airdrop,
[554]
So I'm going to show you how easy this is to do,
[556]
it's super quick.
[557]
The easiest way to do this is to go to MetaMask.
[559]
At the top, you see a drop down menu to choose
[561]
which network you wish to use.
[563]
Click it and if you see Arbitrum
[565]
in that dropdown, you can simply click that
[566]
and it will auto set up.
[567]
If you don't see it in the dropdown,
[569]
you can manually add by clicking 'Networks',
[571]
then 'Custom RPC',
[572]
and entering in these credentials.
[574]
I'll have them in the description of this video,
[576]
so you can just go ahead and copy and paste over.
[578]
Now we can can't be certain if
[580]
this will make us eligible for
[581]
future airdrop Arbitrum tokens,
[584]
but it won't hurt.
[585]
This really is a numbers game.
[587]
Find DeFi apps without tokens,
[588]
interact with those apps
[590]
and simply wait.
[591]
If you're a beginner in the space, I know understanding what
[593]
airdrops are and how to find them can seem
[595]
challenging, but if you educate yourself on the market,
[597]
stay on top of trends, and simply
[599]
brainstorm popular apps without tokens,
[601]
you will find the next big airdrop
[603]
without the help of anyone.
[605]
Now if you appreciate me scamming myself
