Picking Peaches for the Labor Day Weekend Market - YouTube

hey everybody Big Joe Kasulis from Kasulis Customs  and today we're going to pick some plums  

and peaches mainly peaches so let's go  for a ride and lets get some peaches

all right we're at the peaches

funny-looking one...

you get these sometimes...

it's a double peach.

oh yeah look at that beauty

little breakfast

mm-hmm oh it's nice

and still chilled from overnight

mm-hmm I gotta stop eating these things

but they're so good oh so good

they'll tell you when they're  ready to be picked when you  

touch them they'll just fall in your hand usually

sometimes eggs actually too soft if  they do that so you got to be careful

hey there's our first bushel half a bushel of  beautiful peaches hopefully you guys can see that  

look how beautiful that is Oh easy easy Don't throw them around

fifteen more of these to go we'll be done for this afternoon for this morning  actually it's only 9:30 in the morning here  

but look at that orchard as far as you could see  almost the hi-hi tree line at the very very end  

down there is probably nearly a mile away and  it's all orchard as far as you can see pretty  

cool but we got some more peaches here we've  got pizza to pick so I got to keep working here

always put a clean liner in the bottom  of your boxes if there's a little bit  

of dirty stuff from the last batch it  could cause the next batch to rot and  

have other problems so always put a new clean  liner at the bottom if the old one is dirty

it looks like that just clean just  a liner on the bottom of a creek

alright well here's a half a bushel box of  hand-picked peaches so keep in mind every time  

you take a bite of a New York State peach that  it was hand-picked try to give you the best we  

can what we got these ideal anyway so if you're  getting them from the s stock farm stand here  

on route 82 in New York off of the Taconic State  Parkway coming up here from the city and you stop  

at the farm little farm stand here on a stock  Road know that you're going to get some good  

fruit so I just wanted to share that's how we do  it and I hope everybody enjoys so yeah I figured  

I'd share shared what how we do it you know  doesn't matter who you are what a lot of hard  

work goes into that so so keep in mind every time  you take a plate of peach that you know we did our
