okay so many of you sit on facebook and
[3]
waste a lot of your time some of you
[5]
would be on tick tock and watching
[7]
videos and wasting a lot of your time so
[9]
i thought that i will make a video where
[12]
you can understand how you can use
[14]
social media to make money right how you
[16]
can use social media to make money so
[18]
i'm going to talk about three specific
[20]
social media platforms you can use to
[22]
make money that's a so i'm going to help
[24]
you understand the basics of the social
[27]
media what is it that you need to do on
[28]
the social media to make money right so
[31]
with that said let's get this video
[32]
started please give it a thumbs up and
[34]
share it with your friends so that they
[35]
can also become rich so the first social
[38]
media platform that i am going to speak
[40]
about is called as upper work so upwork
[42]
is basically a platform which connects
[44]
people who need help with people who are
[46]
providing help right so if you are a
[48]
freelancer you can sign up on upwork
[50]
display your portfolio and start making
[52]
money now this is the simplest type of a
[55]
thing that probably you are interested
[56]
in photography you are interested in
[58]
videography you are interested in video
[60]
editing you have a little bit of skills
[62]
you can take pictures what not right you
[64]
can do graphic designs you can do logo
[67]
designs what not so all you need to do
[69]
is that create your portfolio that's one
[71]
post it on a cloud link it to your
[73]
upwork account fill out your profile
[75]
details write a catchy description and
[77]
you are done you will start getting
[79]
clients from there on now why did i pick
[81]
this platform in the first place because
[83]
i am sure that i would have gotten
[85]
responses like that here you know what
[86]
i'm like pretty much a skill less person
[88]
i don't have any skill can i still make
[90]
money online yes you can right so let me
[93]
talk about specific things that you can
[95]
do where you don't require massive
[96]
things but you can still make money via
[98]
upwork for example
[100]
you can do transcription of videos now a
[102]
lot of people who are on youtube they
[104]
need their videos to be transcribed and
[106]
they look for human beings who can
[108]
transcribe the videos so this type of
[110]
work does not require much skill all you
[112]
need to do is sit listen to the video if
[114]
you have basic english understanding or
[115]
hindi understanding you can transcribe
[118]
the videos and make money now please
[119]
don't say that you know what i can't
[121]
even transcribe no you can transcribe
[123]
you just need to learn like basic
[124]
english that is it right so that is all
[126]
you need to do in order to make money on
[128]
upwork now there are a few key things
[131]
that you need to remember about the
[132]
upwork platform number one you need to
[134]
play around with your rates you need to
[136]
play around with your rates till the
[138]
time you don't get enough traction for
[140]
example if you are just starting out on
[142]
upwork and you quote very high rates you
[144]
are not going to get any clients because
[145]
they can't see your reviews so start out
[148]
by offering very basic rates you will
[150]
have to slog a little bit build your
[152]
portfolio and there on you can make
[153]
money that is tip number one tip number
[156]
two that have your portfolio ready and
[158]
probably create your own personal
[160]
website so i have hired a lot of people
[162]
from upwork in the past to get some
[164]
basic project work done what impresses
[166]
me about a freelancer is their portfolio
[169]
so if you have built websites then have
[171]
your portfolio ready post it on your
[172]
website if you are a graphic designer
[175]
have your portfolio ready create a
[176]
personal website it does not cost you a
[178]
lot of money to build this basic website
[181]
but it can improve your client
[183]
conversion massively that's true third
[185]
tip is that always ask for a
[187]
recommendation so once you have
[188]
completed the work please ask the person
[191]
whom you have worked with to write a
[193]
recommendation for you if you don't ask
[195]
you will not get a recommendation and
[197]
this can become a slight problem so
[199]
focus on these three basic points now
[200]
there is a complete video that i can do
[202]
on upward but if you are focusing on at
[204]
least these three points you will be in
[206]
good shape okay the second social media
[208]
platform that i am going to speak about
[210]
is called as provo i have spoken about
[212]
this startup in the past i really love
[214]
it for the simple fact that they allow
[216]
you to monetize your opinions now i'm
[218]
already hearing those clicking noises of
[219]
the keyboard people typing that hey you
[221]
know what akshat provo is a betting
[223]
platform people bet on provo okay please
[226]
hear me out first that first and
[228]
foremost even in the stock market what
[230]
are you trying to do stock market in
[231]
indies called as satta market you are
[233]
taking bets on stock market i as a vc i
[236]
take bets on startup similarly if i am
[239]
taking bets on my opinion what is wrong
[241]
with it but it is fundamentally your
[242]
personal choice what you are comfortable
[244]
doing versus not now very similar to the
[246]
stock market that when you are betting
[248]
on a stock what do you do you go analyze
[250]
company fundamentals financials then you
[252]
take a bit right whether to buy or sell
[254]
the stock similarly when i am making
[256]
investment in a business what do i do i
[258]
speak with the founders i analyze their
[260]
financial data finally i make
[262]
investments so all this due diligence
[264]
process is there so similarly on provo
[266]
you need to go analyze the data you can
[268]
use external sources to verify your
[271]
information you can use probos knowledge
[273]
snippets to get a better understanding
[275]
on the topic and then if you want you
[277]
can take that trade now what i love
[279]
about provo is now it literally can roll
[281]
out free money if you're good at
[282]
analyzing stuff so let me show that to
[284]
you via an example so i will go and
[287]
trade on probo and i will pick a topic
[289]
which i understand so i'll probably go
[291]
in the finance field and i'll scan
[292]
through some of the questions
[294]
so i see a very interesting question
[296]
about ethereum that they are trying to
[298]
estimate that
[299]
will ethereum have a market cap of more
[302]
than 405 billion dollars as on september
[305]
13th 4 pm right now because this is like
[308]
a slightly risky proposition no doubt
[311]
about that but we can take like
[312]
calculated guesses right so let me see
[314]
what information is being given here so
[316]
you can scan through the knowledge
[318]
section you can reach all these
[319]
different viewpoints you can aggregate
[322]
data
[323]
outside the app also so i'll go on
[324]
google i will check the current market
[326]
cap of ethereum so it comes out to be
[328]
416
[329]
billion dollars right
[331]
now ethereum's price or rather
[334]
ethereum's market cap would depend on
[336]
what it would depend on the existing
[337]
price so if you take a look at the price
[339]
chart you will see that the ethereum
[342]
in june it fell down and since then it
[345]
has been going up so if i have to trade
[347]
one way i would say that it would not
[348]
fall dramatically from this point
[350]
immediately that should not happen if i
[352]
check some of the recent news articles
[354]
then of course it gives me like a sense
[356]
that ethereum's prizes will not fall too
[358]
much in the short term or rather it
[360]
should not fall too much in the short
[362]
term but in the short term no one can
[363]
predict for sure so based on this
[365]
external understanding i would pick a
[367]
trade of yes that i do feel that
[370]
ethereum's market cap will be more than
[372]
405 so i will place so this is knowledge
[376]
related betting this is very similar to
[377]
the stock market this is what i feel i
[379]
am not giving a moral judgment here
[381]
please trade at your own risk but simple
[384]
point that i wanted to drive home is
[385]
that you can aggregate a lot of
[387]
information and then take a calculated
[389]
risk so as i have been saying that i am
[391]
just showing you methods to make money
[392]
from social media and provo is one of
[394]
the ways through which you can make
[395]
money from social media so if you're
[397]
adept and skilled at certain things and
[399]
if you're okay with backing your
[401]
opinions with money then like me you too
[403]
can trade on the topics that you're very
[404]
comfortable about now comes a third
[406]
platform through which you can make a
[408]
lot of money in fact people have built
[410]
businesses from this platform and the
[412]
social media platform is called as
[414]
linkedin now regarding linkedin you need
[416]
to understand a few key concepts and
[418]
points first and foremost linkedin is a
[421]
very niche community so it's a community
[423]
of professionals people usually engage
[425]
on professional commentary on linkedin
[428]
so you get a very refined audience that
[430]
is reading your message because linkedin
[431]
is a community of professionals so
[433]
people who are already working in the
[435]
corporate space or running something or
[437]
looking for jobs or looking for
[438]
internships so essentially what is
[440]
happening on linkedin is that you get a
[442]
very niche sub segment of people who are
[444]
very interested on serious topic so that
[447]
filtration system is already there on
[448]
linkedin that it is not a mass media
[450]
platform that it is a very niche
[452]
platform of professionals so that is one
[454]
key thing that you need to first and
[456]
foremost about understanding linkedin
[459]
now how do people make money on linkedin
[461]
now there are essentially three ways in
[463]
which people make money on linkedin so
[465]
first and foremost many people write on
[467]
linkedin they write a lot of content and
[470]
they become good content creators on
[472]
linkedin and then they start selling
[473]
courses on linkedin for example they
[475]
will sell grow on linkedin course they
[477]
will sell a book around linkedin that's
[479]
one way in which people make money do i
[481]
do it no i have grown on linkedin for
[483]
over like 110 000 subscribers on last
[486]
one year now many of you might comment
[487]
that you actually grew to like 300 000
[489]
subscribers on youtube in a few months
[491]
only so what's the big deal with getting
[493]
100 000 subscribers on linkedin the big
[495]
deal is that on linkedin it's even
[497]
harder to grow than on youtube so 100
[500]
000 subscribers on linkedin is actually
[502]
a pretty big deal from that angle so i
[504]
do not sell writing workshops and books
[506]
books is something that i will be
[507]
interested in i am already disclosed my
[509]
plans that i will be publishing books i
[511]
have no intention of selling these short
[513]
term hit and run type of courses i would
[515]
create an elaborate course on content
[517]
creation that people will truly benefit
[519]
from so i will sell these very value
[522]
oriented products that is how i have
[523]
built all my companies and i would
[525]
continue to do that so that is step one
[527]
that is usually what people do on
[528]
linkedin that they write excellent
[530]
content then they sell courses or
[532]
digital products the second is that
[534]
people sell live workshops so for
[536]
example if you want to learn more about
[538]
excel modeling or if you want to learn
[539]
about consulting then people sell live
[542]
workshops around it that is the second
[544]
key way in which people can make money
[546]
from link now third and final way of
[547]
making money from linkedin is that you
[549]
build your entire business online there
[551]
are lot of people who do linkedin
[553]
consultation that how to grow on
[554]
linkedin they will consult others on how
[556]
to grow on linkedin they will make stuff
[558]
like how to make videos for linkedin
[560]
similarly if you are running a product
[562]
for example if you have any products if
[564]
you are selling handbags or chocolates
[565]
or coffee then people advertise these
[567]
services as a part of their content so
[569]
they will write a content on let's say a
[571]
coffee machine people will write some
[573]
content on different types of coffees
[575]
and towards the end they will give a
[576]
shout out to their company so that is
[578]
how you as a consumer might discover
[580]
those products so essentially linkedin
[582]
becomes like a showcase platform that a
[583]
lot of content creators write brilliant
[586]
content they give a shout out to their
[588]
products that they are launching and it
[589]
becomes like a very effective ecosystem
[591]
now comes the second part that how do
[593]
you actually grow on linkedin and what
[595]
are some of the key things that you need
[596]
to keep in mind so essentially i would
[598]
say that there are three steps to
[599]
growing on linkedin so first and
[601]
foremost you must understand that
[602]
linkedin is basically a writing platform
[604]
it's a platform for writers now i'm not
[606]
saying that people don't make videos or
[608]
graphics and can't grow there there are
[610]
a lot of people who have developed these
[612]
sub niches but predominantly speaking
[614]
linkedin is a writing platform so you
[616]
must learn how to write effectively and
[618]
engage the audience so your content
[621]
should be well written that's the first
[623]
key part if you don't format your
[624]
content well if your grammar is way off
[627]
if you're not writing creatively if
[629]
you're writing uninspired things then
[631]
your content will get no traction on
[632]
linkedin so writing really well is the
[635]
first key step to growing on linkedin
[637]
number two you need to pick a niche
[639]
right i am not saying that get super
[640]
niche but you need to have some
[642]
expertise in certain subject for example
[645]
when i talk on linkedin i talk about the
[647]
same niche that i talk on youtube how to
[649]
grow in your careers and how to grow
[650]
your money similarly if you are a
[652]
college student and if you want to talk
[654]
about your college life you can cover
[656]
that content so you can make that as
[659]
your niche now third and final which is
[661]
not literally a step but an objective so
[663]
whenever you are writing on linkedin
[665]
your objective should be to add value to
[667]
others so give out a lot of information
[669]
for free so that is how you will build a
[671]
supportive community and slowly and
[673]
slowly by adding more and more value
[675]
keep expanding on that community now
[677]
most importantly you need to start
[679]
writing on linkedin people can be little
[681]
bit critical when you are writing on any
[683]
social media platform don't get
[685]
dissuaded by it stay put keep writing
[688]
that is the most important part being
[690]
consistent is half the battle one on a
[692]
platform like lingam so in short just to
[694]
summarize that if you are someone who is
[696]
skilled who already possesses certain
[698]
skill then go with up work you can
[701]
literally pick a range of skills right
[703]
from transcribing which is not very
[705]
skilled oriented to video editing which
[707]
is very skill oriented you can put your
[709]
portfolio on upwork and get clients and
[711]
get paid work as a freelancer second
[714]
platform if you are someone who is very
[716]
opinionated and are logically rationally
[718]
driven then you can make some literally
[720]
free money on provo so that is true that
[722]
is what you can do number three if you
[724]
want to play a longer game where you are
[726]
adding value to others and are building
[728]
a community around yourself then
[730]
linkedin is probably the best social
[732]
media platform from that perspective so
[734]
three very different platforms three
[736]
very different money making strategies i
[738]
hope you enjoyed the video please press
[740]
the like button and i will see you the
[741]
next time
