What happened at the Santa Claus Rally?

What happened at the 2014 Santa Claus Rally was that on Friday rain arrived to Veszprém and it still didn’t stop.

It’s been raining for 3 days.

Today - Sunday, the race day we started, we did two damn good specials...

...then in the third special our engine got water.

We managed to drive into a “see” at full throttle, and from then on we didn’t see anything on the side and in the mirrors at all.

And also from then from the 6 only 2 cylinders worked, so in 2nd gear, at full throttle our end speed was about 40-50 km/h.

Pál Lónyai caught up with us.

They also made a mistake, and I could have been more different-thinking, too.

The point is that at a left corner we pulled out to the right, and wanted to turn from there, with momentum, as we didn’t have engine power.

And Pál thought we were pulling out to let them pass.

But as we turned, they hit us on the side.

We stopped, and discussed that no one is angry at the other.

We could have been more attentive, and they as well.

This is what happened.

Apart from this we really enjoyed the race. As long as it lasted, it was damn good.

Still 4 cylinders don’t work, and it got dark, if we would have left for another special, because we weren’t able to drive fast.

We withdrew from the race.

We packed everything and soon we’ll load the car on the trailer.

From this moment I declare our 2014 season closed!

...and with this it will be very good for us.

Because surely the will be New Year’s Eve this year, too.

And we are going to spend New Year’s Eve together.

And most likely we won’t be sad, but cheerful.

And we will launch a lot of fireworks.

Because we have a fireworks sponsor, too.

Theoretically we’ll get a lot of fireworks from them.

And we will explode everything at New Year’s Eve.

And in January assembling or disassembling and re-carving will start.

And everything will be fine next year!
