This is Aunt Frenita and I have a wonderful story for you

Called "A Little Boy Shares"

Today's memory verse is from Hebrew 13:16

It says, "Do not forget to share with others."

The message for today's story is "Friends share with others"

One day, many people were far away from home at mealtime
[32]
But Jesus had a surprise for them
[35]
The sunshine sparkled on the water as the little boy walked beside the lake
[40]
He was not alone
[42]
Many people gathered on the hillside to see Jesus
[46]
The little boy carefully wriggled his way to the front of the crowd
[50]
Excuse me

Pardon me

Excuse me
[54]
The little boy listened as Jesus begun to tell of God's love
[59]
He even saw Jesus heal sick people
[62]
It was so exciting that the day went by very quickly
[66]
And the little boy had not even thought about eating
[70]
His mother had packed a lunch
[72]
of 5 small loaves of barley bread and 2 small fish
[77]
But the little boy had not even touched his lunch yet
[81]
It was almost supper time now
[84]
Jesus's friend said to him, "don't you think that people should go home now?"
[89]
It is late and they are hungry
[92]
The little boy saw that Jesus did not want the people to go away hungry
[97]
Jesus turned to his disciples, "we'll give them something to eat"
[102]
The disciples looked very confused
[105]
It would take lots and lots of food to feed all of these people
[110]
One of Jesus's disciples named Andrew, smiled at the little boy and asked him
[117]
"What do you have in your basket?"
[119]
"5 small barley loaves and 2 little fish, sir"
[124]
"It's not much but Jesus can have it"
[127]
Then the little boy heard Jesus ask his disciples
[131]
"How much food do you have?"
[134]
Andrew just shook his head
[136]
We don't have any
[138]
But the little boy has a lunch he is willing to share
[142]
5 small loaves of barley bread and 2 little fish
[146]
But that's not enough to feed all of these people
[150]
Jesus smiled at the little boy
[152]
"Thank you for sharing your lunch," he said
[156]
Jesus said to his disciples, "have the people sit down"
[161]
First, Jesus prayed over the little boy's food
[164]
Then, he began to give pieces of the barley bread and fish to the disciples to give to the people
[172]
More and more bread and fish were taken out of the little boy's basket
[177]
More and more people ate
[180]
The little boy could not believe his eyes
[184]
It took a long time to feed all of the people
[188]
5 thousand men and that did not include the women and children who came to hear Jesus too
[194]
When everybody had eaten
[197]
Jesus said, "Now let's collect the food that is left"
[202]
The little boy watched as the disciples picked up 12 baskets of leftover food
[209]
It was just a little lunch for a little boy
[212]
But that little boy was willing to share
[215]
And Jesus fed all of those people with that little lunch
[220]
Because he loved them
[222]
