How I use DELTA App to Track my Entire Crypto (& Stock) Portfolio - YouTube

delta it's an app to track all of your

portfolios including your crypto

your stocks and also your commodities

mainly we're going to be talking about

how to track your crypto on the app so

let's get straight into the video

okay so let's talk about why we need an

app like this currently i'm using

google sheets to track all of my income

or my bitcoin
[35]
or my portfolios and i have a apis

linked in there telling me the price but
[38]
i have to manually go in
[40]
and see what amount i have there so i
[43]
have to put in the changes that i do on
[44]
my exchanges all the trades i do et
[46]
cetera
[46]
and to be honest i don't keep totally up
[48]
to date with exactly what i'm doing so
[50]
an app like delta
[51]
can help us keep on top of things and be
[55]
very up to date because it's going to be
[56]
importing the data directly
[58]
into the app from your exchanges also it
[61]
enables us to get
[62]
notifications of real-time price alerts
[65]
and and give us more opportunity to jump
[68]
on those trades when they're about to
[69]
happen

and just in general be on top of the
[71]
market so that's why we need an app like

that

and i've tried out quite a few of these

because obviously before i did this

video i wanted to test which ones

were the best and for me delta stood out

the most it really is a great app the
[84]
user interface ux and ui
[86]
is really pleasing to use bugs seemed to
[88]
be completely ironed out it's been
[90]
in development since 2017 so it's a
[93]
really
[93]
smooth experience and not only that it
[96]
is ahead of the other apps like block
[99]
folio
[100]
etcetera because you could track your
[102]
stocks in there as well so i can see a
[103]
total picture
[104]
of all my investments in the stock
[107]
markets and the cryptos
[108]
and commodities but as we said we're
[109]
mainly talking about crypto today so i'm
[111]
going to show you

how to set up your portfolios within the
[115]
app
[115]
and link your binaries and your coinbase
[119]
the exchange you use via apis okay so

first up let's have a look at delta

we can have a look at their website here

and

it's obviously got a very smooth and
[130]
nice looking website

and you can see the user interface is

really nice okay so here's the app you

can see when i
[137]
first installed the app it gave me a
[139]
little walkthrough of how to do a couple
[140]
of things and i selected some of my key
[142]
assets that i wanted to follow
[144]
i can obviously update these at a later
[145]
stage and i can change them to
[147]
whatever it is that i like to follow we
[149]
can just do that as we go on
[151]
but the first thing we want to do is
[153]
connect
[154]
an exchange and set up a portfolio so if
[157]
i go into my portfolios here in the top
[159]
left i've got a little hamburger icon
[161]
and click here you see i've added a new
[162]
ubs portfolio that you that portfolio is
[165]
for
[166]
my ubs account which i'm going to set up
[167]
later with most of my stocks that's
[169]
where i keep most of my
[170]
shares and my funds but first of all i'm
[172]
going to add a new portfolio each
[173]
portfolio is going to be linked to a
[175]
different account
[176]
a different exchange so i want a
[177]
portfolio for binance i want a portfolio
[179]
for
[180]
um for coinbase and i want a portfolio
[182]
for qrik for kraken
[184]
now you don't have to do a portfolio for
[185]
each one you could just for instance set
[187]
up
[187]
one portfolio and just call it exchange
[190]
accounts and then link
[192]
all of those exchanges into that single
[195]
portfolio but i'd like to keep it
[196]
separate so the first thing i'm going to
[198]
do is create a new
[199]
portfolio and i'm going to call it
[200]
binance
[203]
once you've added the binance we can
[206]
then go into the portfolio and it says
[210]
new portfolio starts here
[211]
click the add button and we want to
[212]
connect an exchange account
[215]
once you're in here you can choose which
[218]
one you want and obviously that's
[219]
binance
[220]
and we now need to set up the api now to
[223]
do that i go on to my computer
[225]
and log into my bit into my binance i'm
[228]
already logged in here obviously and
[230]
in up on the top right you've got the
[232]
user icon
[233]
scroll down to api management within the
[236]
api management you basically want to
[237]
create
[238]
a new api so i type in a name i'm going
[241]
to call this
[241]
delta create api send
[244]
this is the obviously security part i'm
[247]
going to send myself a verification code
[248]
to my email
[249]
and then i'm going to get my google
[251]
verification code from my
[253]
authy app which is my two-factor author
[255]
authentication app which i use
[257]
so i'm going to copy that paste in there
[260]
click submit okay so it's created me
[264]
that new ipi
[265]
there's a couple of things here you need
[266]
to know there's the api key and the
[268]
secret key but before we continue we
[270]
want to change
[271]
a couple of the restrictions on the api
[273]
i want to remove enable spot
[274]
margin trading i don't want this api to
[277]
enable things to
[278]
actually trade in my account i only want
[280]
it to be a read only so i'll just click
[282]
edit restrictions
[283]
click off enable spot spot on margin
[286]
trading
[286]
and then click save again it's going to
[288]
ask me for a verification code for my
[290]
google
[290]
authenticator which i will get now
[294]
copy paste in there submit and there we
[296]
have it
[298]
i have created the api um now it does
[300]
have a qr code for you to scan but
[302]
i've actually worked out that doesn't
[304]
work very well because um
[305]
this app asks you to scan the api key
[308]
and the secret keys separately
[310]
so it's actually easier just to click
[311]
copy on your computer if you're using a
[314]
mac and you're connected with your
[315]
iphone
[316]
copy and paste is easy to do straight
[318]
into your
[319]
into your iphone because i can just copy
[322]
it on my computer and then paste it on
[323]
my
[324]
iphone and then i want to do the same
[326]
for the secret key
[327]
so i'll copy that and i will paste in
[331]
you want to keep the import withdrawals
[333]
and deposits you want to keep the import
[335]
pass transactions
[336]
you don't need to remove existing
[338]
binance transactions because this is a
[340]
new setup
[341]
and later i'm going to upgrade to price
[343]
but i'm going to tell you why

okay so that connection is added and you
[347]
can see it's not synced yet but that
[349]
will sync in the background or you can
[350]
just click that and it will do the sync
[352]
so let's go out of here and let's go

back to my portfolio you can see it's

still waiting to sync

but very shortly that will arrive

now whilst we're waiting for that to
[361]
sync we're actually going to go and
[362]
upgrade my

app to the pro version and i'm going to

tell you why there's a number of

really great features why you should

upgrade pro

and here they are you've got access to

advanced metrics you've got unlimited
[375]
connections to exchanges so if you've

got multiple exchanges which i do i use

binance kraken

coinbase pro i've just started using

gemini i haven't actually deposited
[383]
anything but signed up so i have
[385]
multiple ones i need
[386]
to connect more than two we've got the
[388]
portfolio analytics
[390]
we've got real-time prices and we've got
[393]
uh
[393]
notifications for those prices so i can
[395]
be updated what's going on big changes
[397]
that kind of stuff

um and a few other things like single
[400]
cross mob devices so for instance if i
[402]
have it on my other phone or on my
[404]
ipad pro it's great to be able to sync

everything all the setup i've got going

on

okay so i'm going to subscribe to pro 52

quid oh my gosh but i think it's worth
[415]
it because
[416]
you know i have a lot of money in crypto
[418]
and i need to know exactly what's going
[419]
on and if you're only talking like four
[421]
or five pounds a month
[422]
it's not much to pay for that
[424]
convenience and you're also supporting
[425]
the app developer to make it better and
[427]
make it a better app so

um yeah i decided it's best for me to
[430]
buy it with all those extra
[432]
updates okay so my purchase is all set

and i am now

a pro member of delta

okay so you can see now that my binance
[444]
portfolio has been imported
[446]
um obviously you've got quite a bit of
[447]
crypto in there so don't go hacking my
[449]
account

but it's uh but it's great it gives me a
[454]
very quick overview exactly what's going
[456]
on and exactly how much money i've got
[459]
in that portfolio next up i want to add
[462]
another one so let's add um

let's say coinbase pro

okay great so both of my portfolios have
[472]
now come in so you can see on the left
[474]
here i've got coinbase pro

and let's see i've also got uh i've also
[479]
got
[480]
finance now the next step is to add my
[483]
private wallets
[484]
now you can do this in a number of
[486]
different ways you can either add all
[488]
your private wallets as
[489]
individual portfolios or you can just
[492]
join them all together
[493]
in one place i'm okay having individual
[497]
wallets so i know exactly
[499]
how much each wallet has in each
[500]
different place and that keeps my
[502]
portfolios very clear
[503]
so i'm going to show you just how to add
[504]
one wallet and then you can decide
[506]
whether you want to add
[507]
more in later and there's a couple of
[509]
key points i'm going to talk about
[511]
especially if you're starting this app
[512]
and you've already got crypto because
[514]
you want to be able to add that money
[515]
into your portfolio and not count it as
[517]
kind of like a gain
[518]
you want to add it in as today's value
[520]
and there's a little trick that i kind
[521]
of learned how to do which i'm going to
[523]
show you
[523]
on the app okay so first up let's go
[526]
back here we're going to add a portfolio
[528]
so i'm going to use my exodus wallet so
[530]
i'm going to click here exodus
[533]
and that adds me a new portfolio
[536]
i click on exodus and there's a couple
[539]
of different things you can do here
[540]
i can connect an actual wallet now to do
[543]
that i have to add
[544]
an address and then it keeps an exact
[547]
track
[548]
of my exodus at all times of how much
[551]
i've got in each address
[552]
but it doesn't support all of the coins
[554]
that i've got in my exodus
[556]
and i found it to be a little bit slow
[558]
so instead i want to
[560]
manually i want to manually keep track
[562]
of what's in each
[563]
wallet and the reason why i do that on
[565]
top of those ones i just described
[568]
is i don't change much what's going on
[570]
in my exchange
[571]
in my private wallets very much i only
[573]
really obviously only trade on my
[575]
exchange wallets and then i kind of very
[578]
occasionally move money in and out so
[579]
when i do do that money in and out i can
[581]
just manually record that transaction

within here
[584]
so first up i'm going to just manually
[586]
add
[587]
a transaction so i click here click
[589]
crypto and i'm going to search
[591]
for bitcoin sv

that one there and i'm going to put i'm
[599]
not going to buy it because

if you're buying it that's going to keep
[602]
a transaction of basically how much
[604]
you paid for and how much up and down
[606]
you are so instead of me
[608]
uh buying it i'm going to click transfer
[611]
and i'm going to click send receive and
[612]
i'm going to use mining now the reason i
[614]
use mining is it sets today's date
[617]
of the price of it so it doesn't give me
[618]
an up and down because i didn't record
[619]
how much i paid for this so i don't
[621]
really want to
[621]
keep stats of how up and down i am with
[623]
that money so
[624]
i click mining and i click sent to my
[627]
wallet obviously
[629]
and i put the amount that i have in my
[632]
wallet which right now is 24.255.737

done that transaction

okay so now i've got that bitcoin in
[646]
my wallet now i need to go through and
[649]
need to add
[650]
the rest of them so let's add another
[651]
one another manual transaction crypto

chain link there it is link

transfer some receipt from mining

sent to my wallet amount transact

amount deposited is 161.529.42 link

done transaction

and now that is added in uh let's go

through and just do these

couple of others just uh to clean up the

wallet and i will

skip to that in the video so we've got

it in there okay so now let's go back to

my portfolios you can see i've got

coinbase pro binance nexus

and i can now go ahead and add all of my
[695]
wallets i can see my total worth
[698]
and i can do some really cool things
[699]
like if i click on my binance here and

go back to analytics

i can see everything that i've done
[708]
since the start of time on my binance
[711]
the trades the coin splits and it gives
[713]
you a really great update so you can
[714]
tell
[716]
i've actually been training good i've
[717]
made 50 good decisions compared to 11
[719]
bad decisions uh trading back and forth

between usd

and binance coin or whichever pairs you
[725]
are i'm
[726]
up which is good you have a little bit
[729]
of a
[730]
fees breakdown um now interesting enough

you can go back in here and you can see

most use exchange if i click on here

it's got all buy notes now that gives me

an interesting thought about how i've

set this wallet up i actually might want

to

just add these two together

into kind of like an exchanges portfolio

that might be easier so to do that i

need to go here and i need to

maybe i can just edit the name of this

one so i'm going to change the name of

binance

and i'm going to call it exchanges

so crypto exchanges let's say crypto

okay let's change the name

and now i want to move the api from

coinbase pro into crypto exchanges and i

can do that by going to my settings

and manage exchange connections

coinbase pro i want that to go to the

crypto exchange

so click here and i click exchange i've

actually made a typo there so i need to

change that

update connection okay great so that has

now updated the connection it takes a
[791]
few minutes but once it's done it will

refresh i think it's every
[794]
15 minutes or something like this

depending on your api settings

i can now go into the analytics of this

so my crypto exchanges

i can go to analytics here and this will

now do all the analytics across

all the exchanges i've linked in my

right now my binance

and my coinbase pro obviously later i'm

going to add in more exchanges

and you can see a better overview i've

made 57 good decisions

14 band decisions i can see the most

used exchanges i can compare how much
[822]
i've used them

the number of transactions fought sold

at so

i've done more at binance than i have on

coinbase pro

um and i can have a quick look at the

coin location you can see that i've got
[832]
more

binaries and i have a coinbase pro so it
[834]
gives you a good split

and gives me an overview of exactly what

coins i've got going on

on the exchanges of my exposure now one

thing i

did notice is this is owned by etoro
[846]
obviously which is a very
[847]
famous trading platform for you to buy
[849]
and sell
[850]
shares and commodities so they really
[852]
know what they're doing actually i think
[854]
they bought it a couple years back and
[855]
developed
[856]
on the idea and i actually just really
[859]
love everything about this app

in here we've got the news and direct
[862]
sources so a really great place to get
[865]
information because it has multiple
[866]
sources coming in
[867]
to the app we have some crypto globe we
[870]
have yahoo finance

we scroll down further we've got decrypt
[874]
in here and we're going to click

straight onto the news and go to that

particular place to read it

which i find really convenient so it's

kind of put it all together into one

place then we have the overview of the

market and we talked about this uh

briefly earlier on you can choose

what you would like to follow you can

click show all you can obviously click

the ones that you like

and you can obviously follow what you've

got money in

and you can go to the different indices

and crypto stocks

you can see basically an overview of

everything the power of this app is
