particular candidate um because if they

do they lose their tax-exempt status and

that rule has not been enforced at all

this uh today's story uh the only time

i've ever seen a church's tax-exempt

status be questioned was during the iraq

war so this is a long time ago there's a

huge church here in l.a and the pastor

spoke out against the war because by the

way he's supposed to the for example the

catholic church which is different but

obviously under the umbrella of

christianity catholic church is against

wars and was specifically against the

iraq war that's not saying vote for

republican or democrat remember a lot of

the democrats also voted for the war so

that's actually not political it's

church ideology to say that and the

republicans said how dare you and they

investigated the church and threatened

to take away their tax-exempt status

so if you defy republicans you might be

in trouble but if you're a republican

there's no way they can take away your

locke who recently went on a rant

calling uh or claiming that if you're

christian you cannot vote for democrats

from a lot of the things we've heard

religious leaders say that seems pretty

tame but tick talkers got fired up and

they they jumped into action so a

complaint filed with the irs states that

pastor greg locke called democrats and

republicans two heads of the same snake

and that my loyalty is not to a party my

loyalty is to the kingdom of god

trafficking republicans

ought to be exposed and done away with

as well that's actually his best

kind of in favor of that yeah because to

uh churches who have hosted him

following this

during a sunday service locke claimed

that he dissolved the church's nonprofit

doing that with the church itself by the

so it's unclear whether or not he has

lost his tax exempt status it has not

been confirmed yet so let's be clear

involved i mean eventually the irs can't

ignores it well then you've at least
