[7]
Welcome back to wrestling world!
[9]
Today we’ll be getting into more news about what WWE will be adding to their new arena
[15]
as well as some news regarding Sasha Banks, so let’s get into it
[20]
Starting off with the new WWE setup.
[23]
We touched on this information a few days ago about WWE’s big move to a much larger
[28]
venue.
[29]
This will obviously be the first time they’ve been in a large venue in several months
[34]
We talked about the new entrance setup and all these other things that are now available
[39]
to them in a larger venue, but new reports claim that WWE is even adding another new
[46]
feature to their setup
[48]
This new addition is reportedly virtual fans.
[51]
Now if you’re unfamiliar with how virtual fans work then you can go check out some of
[56]
the recent NBA games because they were the first ones to really implement this new feature
[62]
Much like with the WWE, the fans play a crucial role in NBA’s product.
[68]
Watching basketball games is not the same without hearing the roars of the home team’s
[72]
crowd, so NBA added a few things to make the experience feel as normal as possible
[77]
NBA pumps fake crowd noises into the programming during big moments in the game, they also
[85]
have a really long L.E.D. screen all along the arena that features these virtual fans
[92]
Sure, it’s not anything compared to actually having a real live crowd present, but it’s
[98]
the best we can get for the time being.
[100]
NBA puts up all these faces of the fans on the screen and we’re watching the fans’
[105]
live reactions to the same game that we’re watching
[108]
It’s pretty cool because even celebrities have stopped by as a virtual fan in NBA games
[114]
and the commentators would shout them out and acknowledge them
[117]
It’s a cool feature and really gives you the illusion that there is still live fans
[122]
in the arena that are watching the game with you
[125]
Of course you always have the possibility of someone getting carried away and doing
[129]
something silly while they’re on-screen, but the NBA has a “fan eject” button.
[134]
So if you’re acting up on-screen as a virtual fan, you’ll be removed within a second.
[139]
The virtual fans are constantly being closely monitored, so they don’t tolerate any of
[145]
that
[146]
So now reports claim that WWE wants to pull off that exact same thing.
[151]
Apparently it’s fox that really loves the idea of bringing virtual fans to the WWE product
[158]
Fox has of course hosted some of these recent NBA games, so they’re familiar with the
[163]
entire virtual fan setup and wants WWE to implement it into their show
[169]
So it’ll be the same concept as the other sports.
[172]
Fans will log into an app and have their face shown on the screens along the arena
[177]
This is interesting to me because I’m wondering where WWE is going to put these virtual fans
[183]
at
[184]
With the NBA, they just put them right behind the court, so I’m trying to figure out how
[189]
it’ll look for WWE’s setup
[192]
You can’t have the virtual fans by the entrance ramp or someone deep in the back, you have
[194]
to put those fans in a perfect area so that we can see what’s going on in the ring and
[200]
see the fans’ reactions all at the same time
[203]
So just looking at WWE’s old set up from March, I just don’t see where it will fit
[208]
Maybe they’ll put a little wall up behind the ringside seats and have the virtual fans
[213]
displayed right there at ringside with maybe some of the performance center employees spread
[218]
out along the arena?
[220]
I think that’s one idea that will definitely work.
[223]
Just surround the ring virtual fans and you can still have the other live crowd members
[229]
in there as well
[230]
I think that’s the best idea because no matter what camera view we get, we’re constantly
[235]
gonna be seeing fan reactions if they are in fact all over ringside in all directions
[240]
I know this is probably unlikely, but I wonder if we’re going to see a whole new entrance
[245]
setup or if they’ll just be returning to the old setups from March
[250]
With the inclusion of virtual fans and this weird era we’re in, I think it would be
[254]
a great time to really introduce a fresh look for the product and hit us with a brand new
[259]
entrance stage, but maybe I’m just getting my hopes up too much
[264]
But I’m really excited to see how this virtual fan experience turns out.
[268]
In the NBA, fans are serious about supporting their team and that’s mostly the reactions
[274]
we see from them, but in the WWE, there’s so much drama that the fan reactions should
[279]
be a lot different from what we see in the NBA
[281]
It’ll be quite nice to see actual genuine reactions from the fans.
[287]
A lot of the main criticism about WWE’s current “live crowd” is that their reactions
[292]
aren’t genuine and that they’re basically instructed on who to cheer and who to boo.
[298]
It’s not a real reaction or real crowd by any means, it’s basically just a scripted
[302]
reaction from this crowd
[303]
So to at least see some real fan reactions to some big moments will be great and it’ll
[308]
be something we haven’t seen in what feels like a lifetime
[311]
As far as actual fans, they’re still out of the question for a longtime
[316]
The rumored deal that WWE has with the Amway center claims that WWE has the right to use
[322]
the venue until October 30th, 2020
[325]
It’s also noted in that deal that no actual live fans are allowed in the building throughout
[331]
that timeframe
[332]
So from now to October 30th, actual live WWE fans have no chance of attending a WWE show
[340]
at all
[341]
WWE will likely have their performance center live crowd audience and the new virtual fan
[346]
experience, but as far as outside fans attending the shows, that’s strictly off limits at
[351]
least until October 30th
[354]
Depending on where things are at come October, WWE will either renew that deal or go else
[359]
where with their shows
[360]
Along with everything we talked about before and now with the inclusion of virtual fans,
[365]
it really looks like the WWE product will really look different here in the coming weeks,
[371]
so some really exciting stuff there
[373]
———————————————-
[374]
I wanted to get back into the Sasha Banks and Bayley storyline because we haven’t
[378]
discussed this storyline in what feels like months
[380]
There’s just been no new content regarding Sasha and Bayley’s breakup.
[385]
WWE has really stopped all the plans on that situation
[389]
Before, we were at least getting little things like Bayley and Sasha booking each other for
[395]
matches and seeing their facial expressions at each other, but all that has disappeared
[400]
They are back to being 100% together with no signs of really breaking up, so that’s
[405]
why I dropped the coverage of that storyline from the channel
[409]
Summerslam was supposed to be where Sasha and Bayley faced off for the Smackdown women’s
[413]
championship, but obviously those plans have been delayed
[418]
My personal guess is that WWE must be waiting on having a live crowd before that one on
[423]
one match between Sasha and Bayley actually happens
[427]
Which is understandable, I can definitely get that, so we just have to be really patient
[431]
for their breakup
[432]
At least Sasha still won a singles title even with the whole delay to the Bayley storyline.
[438]
So even though we might not be getting that big singles match anytime soon, it’s still
[443]
great to see both of these women going through all this well deserved success
[447]
Bayley has been Smackdown women’s champion for a lifetime now, Sasha has just wom her
[453]
first singles title in multiple years, so it’s great to see them finally get what
[458]
they truly deserve
[460]
I hope Sasha’s reign is left alone and they let her hold the title for as long as possible
[465]
because she already has 4 short title reigns, so she really deserves to have a good run
[471]
as raw women’s champion, so let’s hope WWE keeps her reign going
[477]
Sasha and Bayley have been up to a lot of things outside the ring as well and they have
[481]
some big things on the way
[483]
Sasha Banks recently took part in this big photoshoot and she’s slowly releasing the
[488]
pictures one by one and they’re all going viral
[492]
Sasha and Bayley will also have a network special coming out in the next few weeks
[496]
The network special will apparently follow Sasha and Bayley closely and also take a deep
[501]
look at their iconic 2015 matchup from NXT: Takeover Brooklyn, so that’s something to
[508]
look forward to as well
[509]
So What are thoughts on the addition of virtual fans to the WWE product?
[514]
What do you think of everything going on with Sasha and Bayley as well?
