communicate effectively both in writing

and verbally you also need analytical

and problem-solving skills be capable of

concisely be able to respond to conflict

finally possess high levels of strategic

and commercial awareness so I've

a compliance risk assessment and a
[429]
standard organizational risk assessment
[431]
so this is quite a difficult question to
[434]
answer as you know risk assessments are
[436]
a major component of compliance based
[438]
roles therefore make sure you have a
[441]
thorough understanding of what they are
[443]
and how they are created so here's my
[445]
suggested answer many large
[449]
organizations conduct risk assessments
[451]
to identify issues or threats that would
[453]
prevent the company from achieving its
[456]
strategic objectives examples of these
[459]
include enterprise risk assessments
[461]
safety risk assessments and also an
[463]
internal audit assessment which is
[466]
usually used to develop an internal
[468]
auditing plan for a business however a
[470]
compliance risk assessment is created to
[473]
identify potential legal or regulatory
[476]
risks and therefore in my opinion it
[478]
carries more weight this is based on the
[481]
fact that the threat to an organization
[483]
from a financial or brand reputation
[485]
perspective is significant so that shows
[489]
that you are confident in your
[490]
understanding of a compliance risk
[492]
assessment versus a standard orgas our
[495]
organizational one and then there may be
[498]
other risk assessment questions to
[501]
answer within your compliance officer
[503]

compliance risk assessment now my advice

is to use the following 10 step process
[511]
for creating a first-class compliance
[514]
risk assessment so here's a brilliant

you know your information and you have

the right knowledge to conduct
[525]
world-class compliance risk assessments

whenever I create a compliance risk
[531]
assessment I focus on 10 different
[533]
elements first of all I
[535]
sess and determine the objective of the
[537]
risk assessment this is important to
[539]
have because you need a clear goal of
[541]
what the risk assessment needs to
[542]
achieve I then consider what work has
[545]
already been carried out previously the
[547]
last thing we need to do is reinvent the
[549]
wheel
[549]
I will then gather information from a
[551]
wide range of sources including people
[553]
from across the organization who have
[555]
the expertise the knowledge and the
[557]
know-how to assist I will then identify
[559]
the risks and determine who should take
[561]
ownership of the different risk elements
[564]
at this stage I will always focus on
[566]
complete transparency next I'll make
[568]
sure the risk assessment is actionable
[570]
because without action the objective of
[572]
the risk assessment cannot be achieved
[574]
whenever I create the risk assessment I
[576]
always make sure it's readable and
[577]
understandable this is achieved by using
[580]
simple plain English that everyone who
[582]
needs to use a document will understand
[584]
finally I would ensure the information
[586]
and data leverage from the risk
[588]
assessment he's actually used before
[590]
carrying out periodic reviews of the
[593]
risk assessment to ensure it is current
[595]
applicable and up-to-date now that
[597]
answer has to be in depth to that
[599]
