Best No Foreign Transaction Fee Credit Cards No Annual Fee - YouTube

Channel: CreditFast

[0]
- Today, I will be talking
[1]
about the best no foreign transaction fee credit cards.
[6]
These credit cards
[7]
will not charge you foreign transaction fees
[10]
when you're traveling outside of the United States
[14]
or when you could be making online purchases
[17]
with companies that are not using U.S. based banks.
[21]
This is a way of helping you save money,
[24]
and today, I'll be talking about different credit cards
[28]
for every credit level.
[31]
Different credit cards you can use
[33]
to avoid foreign transaction fees.
[36]
Some of these credit cards,
[37]
I have reviewed in the past,
[39]
and if I have,
[40]
I'm going to put a link in the description below,
[43]
and if you want a more thorough review
[45]
on that particular card,
[47]
you could find it over there.
[50]
And to make it even better,
[52]
none of these credit cards charge an annual fee.
[57]
So the credit cards I'm talking about today,
[58]
I'll be talking about in different credit levels,
[61]
so this video is for everyone.
[64]

[70]
So the first credit card we are going to talk about
[74]
is one for bad credit,
[77]
less than perfect credit, no credit,
[80]
and that is the Capital One Platinum secured card.
[83]
Now, you're going to want to get this one
[87]
because it is a secured card
[90]
that charges no foreign transaction fee.
[93]
You need to make a minimum deposit of $200,
[97]
and the approval on this,
[99]
you can get denied but it isn't that hard to get.
[105]
So now we're going onto the second card I'm recommending,
[108]
and this one is for fair credit.
[111]
I am mentioning two cards for fair credit,
[116]
the first one is also a Capital One credit card,
[120]
the Capital One Platinum card for fair credit.
[123]
I'm recommending that one
[125]
because it has no annual fee
[129]
and it will of course not charge foreign transaction fees
[132]
because this is Capital One
[135]
and you can get any Capital One credit card
[138]
and you'll never be charged a foreign transaction fee.
[142]
And this is something I did myself,
[145]
I applied for the Capital One Platinum card,
[150]
and when I got it,
[152]
I was able to product change that card
[154]
to the Capital One Quicksilver card.
[158]
So in a few months,
[160]
I was able to make this credit card
[163]
a no annual fee cashback credit card
[166]
that earned me 1.5% cashback on all purchases.
[171]
And I still had fair credit at the time,
[173]
so this is one way you can get rewards,
[179]
have no annual fee
[180]
and not be charged foreign transaction fees.
[184]
The second card for fair credit that I am recommending,
[187]
and I recommend this one a little less,
[190]
and that is because it's a little bit more difficult
[193]
to get approved for,
[195]
but there is no annual fee
[197]
and you can earn cashback rewards right away
[201]
from day one of having this credit card.
[204]
And that is the Petal Visa card.
[207]
So give everyone ideas,
[208]
in your opinion,
[209]
what is the best no foreign transaction fee credit card?
[213]
Which credit card have you used
[215]
when traveling outside the U.S.?
[217]
Let us know in the comment section.
[221]
Now, I'm going to be talking
[222]
about the best no foreign transaction fee credit cards
[228]
for good credit.
[230]
And the good thing about these four credit cards
[232]
that I'll be talking about
[233]
is that you don't need an extremely good credit score
[238]
to get approved for these.
[240]
Many of these,
[240]
you can have good credit,
[243]
close to fair,
[244]
and still get approved for them.
[246]
The first one I'm talking about is the Amazon Visa card.
[251]
The Amazon Visa card charges no foreign transaction fees,
[254]
and there's actually two Amazon Visas.
[258]
The second one I'm going to be talking about
[261]
is the PayPal Cashback Mastercard,
[264]
and that is a video I just made last week and uploaded,
[269]
I reviewed this credit card offer
[271]
and I mentioned in that video
[273]
that there was no foreign transaction fees for this card.
[277]
And that's a really good thing
[279]
because you earn 2% cashback on all your purchases.
[284]
So not only will you not see
[286]
a pesky 3% foreign transaction fee on your statement,
[291]
you're actually earning 2% cashback,
[295]
and that's one of the highest cashback rates you can get
[299]
on all purchases.
[302]
There are no categories with this card,
[303]
you just earn a flat 2% cashback.
[306]
Now, you might be saying,
[307]
well, Citi Double Cash,
[309]
I can earn 2% cashback there and I'll just get that one.
[312]
Well, the Citi Double Cash card
[315]
charges foreign transaction fees,
[317]
so for traveling,
[318]
that's not a good option.
[320]
When I was looking for credit cards,
[323]
Citi credit cards that charge no foreign transaction fees
[327]
with no annual fees,
[329]
I could only find two,
[331]
and those were two different Costco credit cards.
[336]
And unless you are a very serious Costco customer,
[340]
you're probably not gonna find value in this credit card.
[343]
But it got me to thinking,
[346]
are there no annual fee Citi cards
[348]
that will not charge you foreign transaction fees?
[351]
And after I did some investigation,
[353]
I found one that I actually have that doesn't,
[357]
and that is the Best Buy Visa card.
[359]
That Citi card does not charge you
[362]
a foreign transaction fee,
[364]
so that is one of my tips today.
[368]
Take a look at all the credit cards you have,
[371]
you may have other Citi branded store cards like Costco
[378]
in your wallet already,
[380]
check to see if they charge a foreign transaction fee.
[384]
So I'm going to be talking about a credit card
[386]
I've never talked about on my channel,
[387]
but it is a very good credit card.
[390]
It is the
[392]
Power Cash Rewards Signature Visa card from PenFed.
[396]
Now, this one also earns,
[399]
for some people, 2% cashback.
[402]
You'll either earn 2% cashback or 1.5% cashback.
[408]
This is a credit card
[409]
that some people have a misunderstanding for
[412]
because they believe
[413]
that they need to be a member of the military
[416]
or a retired member of the military
[419]
in order to have this card.
[420]
And it once was more difficult to get,
[424]
but now many people who have never been in the military
[427]
have been able to get this card,
[429]
so this is something
[431]
you can easily check out on their website
[434]
and find out if you would be able to apply for this card.
[438]
The first four credit cards I talked about
[442]
as the best no foreign transaction fee credit cards
[445]
with no annual fees,
[447]
you needed good credit to get,
[449]
but your credit score
[451]
didn't necessarily need to be that high
[454]
in order to get an approval.
[457]
The next two credit cards I will be talking about,
[460]
you will need to have good to very good credit
[464]
to get approved,
[464]
and having excellent credit will make it that much easier.
[468]
And they are the Uber Visa card
[472]
and the American Express Propel card from Wells Fargo.
[476]
These two cards are very competitive with each other,
[481]
their reward system structures
[483]
are very close to being the same.
[488]
It all depends on what's going to work better for you,
[492]
but these two credit cards
[495]
offer a lot of different reward categories,
[498]
all with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.
[502]
So what credit cards are you using oversees
[505]
when you're traveling?
[506]
Let us know in the comment section below.
[511]
So I've just told you about some of the best
[513]
no foreign transaction fee credit cards,
[516]
and these cards have no annual fee.
