BEST Jobs WITHOUT a COLLEGE Degree for 2021-2022 (What I Wish I Knew at 18!) - YouTube
Channel: Alex D. Marie
[0]
here's something i wish i knew at 18 you
[2]
don't actually need a bachelor's degree
[4]
to make a good living yes education is
[6]
always a good thing
[7]
but universities and colleges are just
[9]
not for everybody
[10]
that's why in today's video we're going
[11]
over some of the highest paying jobs
[13]
that you can get without a bachelor's
[15]
degree hi everyone welcome to my channel
[17]
the one-stop shop for all things
[18]
business finance and personal
[20]
development there are plenty of reasons
[22]
as to why someone
[23]
wouldn't want to go to college a big one
[26]
is debt
[27]
college is crazy expensive and some
[29]
people
[30]
can't or are just not willing to go into
[32]
great amounts of debt just for a
[34]
bachelor's degree for whatever reason it
[36]
may be
[36]
these stocks are proof that a bachelor's
[38]
degree is not necessary
[39]
to make a good living however i do want
[41]
to note that just because
[43]
these jobs do not require the
[44]
traditional four-year college experience
[46]
and degree
[47]
it doesn't mean that they don't require
[49]
any education at all all jobs require
[51]
some education or knowledge
[53]
they just might not require a bachelor's
[55]
so if you're ready to jump in
[56]
like this video and let's get started
[58]
the first job in this list is real
[60]
estate
[61]
agent real estate agents are licensed
[63]
professionals who represent
[64]
buyers and sellers in real estate
[66]
transactions this
[67]
is the entry level point for other real
[69]
estate jobs such as a realtor or a real
[71]
estate
[72]
broker real estate agents must work
[74]
under a licensed broker and cannot work
[76]
independently
[77]
in order to become a real estate broker
[79]
higher education is needed
[81]
there are some exceptions though for
[83]
example in the state of california
[85]
you can bypass the agent level and go
[87]
straight for the broker licensing
[89]
however this is very dependent on state
[91]
regulations and requirements
[93]
the median income for real estate agents
[95]
is 48 000
[97]
those in the higher 25 percent made
[99]
approximately 74 000
[101]
and those in the top 10 percent made
[103]
more than a hundred thousand dollars
[105]
this range is due to the fact that real
[107]
estate agents don't have a cap
[109]
in their income real estate agents make
[111]
their money through commission whenever
[113]
a real estate
[114]
transaction occurs all agents involved
[116]
in the transaction
[117]
will receive a percentage of the total
[119]
sale so if it's six percent commission
[121]
then they will receive six percent of
[123]
whatever the house or
[124]
property sold for now because real
[126]
estate agents
[127]
must work with a broker and cannot work
[130]
independently whatever the commission
[132]
was it is split between all the agents
[134]
so if it was just one agent and one
[136]
broker
[137]
it will be split between the agent and
[139]
the broker if you have excellent people
[141]
skills you enjoy working with other
[143]
people
[143]
and you're a natural at communication
[145]
and negotiation skills this might be a
[147]
great career for you and if you
[149]
eventually want to get into real estate
[150]
investing
[151]
there's no better way to know what
[153]
properties are out there than becoming a
[154]
real estate agent this is because real
[156]
estate agents have access to mls
[159]
multiple listing services where you can
[161]
see all houses that are for sale in your
[164]
area real estate jobs are the only jobs
[166]
that have access to this type of service
[168]
oh and a nice
[169]
good to know perk is that you can make
[171]
your own schedule now in order to become
[173]
a real estate agent there are some
[174]
requirements that you need to meet
[176]
these requirements vary by state but in
[178]
general a real estate agent
[180]
must be 18 or 19 years old depending on
[183]
the state must complete the state's
[184]
required pre-license education
[187]
and must pass the real estate license
[188]
certification i'll leave a link in the
[190]
description box below
[191]
that shows the requirements to be a real
[193]
estate agent by state
[194]
next on our list is online coaches this
[197]
job made my list because as of recently
[199]
it's been getting a lot more traction
[201]
it's very appealing to a lot of people
[203]
and you can make a decent income out of
[205]
it
[205]
online coaches are self-employed coaches
[207]
that provide strategies
[209]
support and advice to individuals or
[211]
companies in a specific topic
[213]
a lot of these coaches start off on
[215]
instagram youtube
[216]
podcast they usually start off on a
[218]
one-to-one client basis
[220]
and then eventually move up to
[222]
instructing a group
[224]
and some even create very profitable
[226]
online courses
[227]
the annual income for online coaches
[229]
ranges from thirty three thousand
[231]
dollars to seventy one thousand
[233]
with the top ten percent earning over a
[235]
hundred thousand dollars
[237]
online coaches do not require any formal
[239]
education but they do require
[241]
knowledge and experience and don't be
[243]
intimidated if you're thinking about
[244]
being an online coach
[246]
but you're afraid that you're not an
[247]
expert in your niche experience comes as
[250]
you go and you can start off with small
[252]
things that you actually know
[254]
for example if you want to help people
[256]
plan out their careers
[257]
but don't feel that you're knowledgeable
[258]
enough because you haven't helped anyone
[260]
with that yet you can start off with
[262]
small things that you know so instead of
[264]
telling someone
[265]
their entire career plan you can start
[267]
coaching them on their interview skills
[269]
or you can go even lower than that and
[271]
consult their resumes
[272]
a very successful online coach is
[274]
vanessa lau here on youtube
[276]
so if you're interested in becoming an
[278]
online coach i suggest you check out her
[280]
channel she has awesome videos regarding
[282]
online coaching and she even has her own
[284]
online course
[285]
up next on our list of high paying jobs
[287]
with no college degree
[288]
it is a freelance web developer
[292]
while there are web developers that do
[293]
work for companies there are plenty that
[295]
work on their own self-employed
[297]
web developers create the look and feel
[300]
the design
[301]
and the coding of a website or app most
[304]
web designers have knowledge of user
[306]
experience designing and computer
[307]
programming and while you can go to
[309]
college
[310]
to learn how to code in recent years
[312]
college is not necessary to learn how to
[314]
code there are plenty of boot camps and
[316]
other short term classes that will teach
[318]
you how to code
[319]
and other aspects of computer
[321]
programming the reason I鈥檓 adding the word
[323]
freelancer before web developer
[325]
is because to work as a web developer in
[327]
a company some are still requiring a
[329]
bachelor's degree
[330]
however in recent years the number of
[332]
web developers at companies without a
[334]
bachelor's degree
[335]
has been growing 30 percent of web
[337]
developers do not
[338]
have a four-year college degree
[340]
freelance web designers start off with
[342]
an income
[343]
of 58 000 growing to 87
[346]
000 as you acquire more experience and
[349]
top
[349]
incomes go over a hundred thousand
[352]
dollars continuing on with this list
[354]
is gaming managers now gaming
[356]
managers supervise personal and gaming
[358]
operations at casinos they are also the
[360]
one
[361]
making sure that casinos and players are
[363]
complying with rules and regulations
[365]
a gaming manager's salary is 71 000
[369]
with the top 25 percent earning more
[371]
than 100
[372]
000 and the top 10 percent earning close
[375]
to 150
[376]
000 gaming managers usually do not have
[379]
a bachelor's degree but the amount of
[381]
education you need depends heavily on
[383]
the casino
[384]
some require an associate's degree while
[386]
others just require a high school diploma
[388]
or ged
[390]
some require you to like this video for
[391]
the youtube algorithm while others
[393]
require you to have a bachelor's degree
[395]
gaming managers also require state
[396]
licensing through the gaming casino
[398]
control board
[399]
just like real estate agents licensing
[401]
requirements depend on the state where
[403]
they
[404]
work and once again it's very dependent
[406]
on the casino
[407]
background checks and drug tests need to
[409]
be passed in order to be licensed but
[411]
by far the most important thing to work
[414]
as a gaming manager
[415]
is experience many gaming managers
[418]
reach that position because they've
[420]
worked for years in casinos or hotel
[423]
management so this is one of those jobs
[424]
where you have to start off
[426]
small and then work your way up and you
[428]
can actually start by being a slot
[429]
supervisor at your nearest casino
[431]
next on our list i was quite surprised
[434]
to learn that you don't need a bachelor鈥檚
[435]
degree because i could have sworn they
[437]
did
[437]
and it is diagnostic imaging workers
[440]
diagnostic imaging workers
[442]
are the ones who perform diagnostic
[444]
imaging examinations such as mri鈥檚 and
[446]
x-rays they work closely with
[448]
radiologists and they are the ones
[450]
making sure that a high quality image
[452]
gets produced they are also called
[454]
radiologist technologists but i don't
[456]
trust myself to say that right for the
[457]
rest of this video so we're going to
[458]
call them radio tecsh now the median
[460]
income for
[461]
radio techs is 59 000 and the top 25
[464]
percent making 73
[466]
000 and while some radio techs do pursue
[469]
a bachelor's degree it's
[470]
totally not necessary the minimum
[472]
requirement is an associate's degree
[474]
and while some associate's degree can be
[476]
as long as two years some are
[478]
as short as six to 12 months these
[480]
typically include both classroom and in
[483]
clinic training
[484]
having a bachelor's degree in this field
[486]
does not make a candidate more qualified
[488]
for the certification but it can help
[490]
further advance
[491]
education and reach higher job
[493]
opportunities
[494]
in order to be a radio tech you need to
[497]
complete an associate's degree get
[499]
initial certification obtain your
[500]
state's licensure
[502]
meet continuing education requirements
[504]
and if desired get specialty
[505]
certification
[506]
and last on our list it's air traffic
[509]
controllers or atc's for short
[511]
atc's are known for having the most
[514]
stressful job and it is because they are
[516]
directing flights through air traffic
[518]
and while most of the times things do
[520]
run smoothly there are times when there
[522]
are on-air scenarios where atc's have to
[524]
jump straight into action the average
[526]
salary for an atc
[528]
is 124 000 with the highest 10
[532]
earning 107 000 a bachelor's degree is
[536]
typically not needed but an associate's
[538]
degree
[538]
is a required level of education the
[540]
degree should be from an
[542]
At-cti program and you also need three
[545]
years of progressively responsible work
[547]
experience other requirements include
[549]
being younger than 31 years old
[551]
pass a medical examination pass a
[553]
security investigation
[555]
pass the faa air traffic pre-employment
[558]
test and speak
[559]
english clearly know that when the
[561]
faa mentions that candidates have
[563]
to be 31 years old it means that they
[565]
have to be 31 years old when they first
[567]
enter the field
[568]
retirement age for this career is 56
[571]
years old but the older someone is the
[573]
less likely they are to complete the
[574]
extensive
[575]
training so were you surprised by any of
[577]
these jobs comment down below and let me
[579]
know
[579]
i hope you enjoyed learning about these
[581]
high-paying jobs that don't require a
[583]
bachelor's degree
[584]
remember that it's impossible for me to
[587]
cover everything about these jobs in
[589]
just one
[590]
video so if you're seriously thinking
[592]
about going into any of these careers
