How long for youtube to approve monetization - YouTube

today I'm gonna talk about how long it

took to get monetized on YouTube this

isn't one of our normal videos but I

wanted to share it because I know a lot

of other youtubers go through this other

Creators put in the work and they just

want to know how long it is so I'm going

to share some of the stats that I've had

there's your first time at our channel

or you haven't subscribed to click on

the subscribe button at the bottom my

So today I just

wanted to talk about how long it took to

get monetized to get to the 1,000 subs

the 1,000 subscriber mark and the 4,000

watch hours now to get to the 1000 subs

took us in our one of our previous

videos we posted it at 8 months and

eight days to get to the 1000 sub mark I

think it took us like three months to

get to the 4,000 watch hours it really

wasn't that long when we did get the

approval or the approval to get approved

in YouTube we were already at something

like 10,000 watch hours so the 1000 subs

the 1000 subscribers was a little bit

more difficult for us to get but

thankfully we're well past that and fast

forward now we're in the monetization

program so earlier in this year YouTube

had changed how they were going to

monetize their creators so first you

have to get to 10,000 views only in

order to get monetized well when they

did away with that they upgraded the

program to 1,000 subs and 4,000 watch

hours so it made it a little bit more

challenging to get there but that didn't

deter we just increased the amount of

videos we're putting out per week and

it's probably what YouTube is trying to

create anyways so we hit the 1,000 subs

on let's let's see what the data is so

we hit our 1,000 subs on August 2nd I

think we did it maybe the day before I

think there were some issues with

uploading the video but you can look at

that video that is the day that we

actually got into the program but the

monetization still wasn't turned on so

YouTube has increased their reviews or

how they allow people

to the monetization program supposedly

someone actually manually approves it

means they watch your videos and see if

the contents approved so really it's

just not most of the content is probably

going to get approved that's out there

for the vast majority of people who meet

that criteria but they want to make sure

that the quality videos are there and

it's not some junk that just gets

uploaded so now we're in the

monetization program no idea what this

means from here on out no idea how much

money we're gonna make but here are the

here is the timeline that we went

through so I have we got the email on

August the second it was a welcome email

and we got that on August 2nd and today

on August 20th at 2:05 p.m. we got the

welcome to the monetization program

email that we were approved I did go in

I did check it it does say there's a

happy face so we did see that so if you

go into your creator studio and then go

into your channel and then there's

status and features that's where you'll

see the monetization and now it says

enabled so I'm super excited about that

and hopefully we can start making the

pennies hopefully those pennies head up

as soon as we got over that thousand

mark our channel started to pick up

traction quite a bit faster I think even

in the last 20 days we got something

like 500 subscribers which is crazy it

took us eight months to get a thousand

and then 500 took us like three weeks

so hopefully that continues to increase

but that's kind of where we are just

wanted to share that with you and if you

have questions about creating your own

channel be happy to help I know I was

looking for quite a while

after there was a huge slowdown earlier

in the year about about creators getting

approved so it's taking forever so I

want I didn't know how long it was gonna

take the last person I saw on YouTube

said it took them five weeks looked like

it took us about three weeks so right

there at three weeks so we're monetized

now and back to creating thanks for
