Channel: Evan J. Williams
[0]
today we're going to be talking about
[2]
cannabis
[3]
what's going on guys welcome back to my
[4]
channel a place where i teach you how to
[6]
invest in stocks
[8]
real estate and other financial markets
[10]
and in today's video
[11]
we're going to be talking about
[13]
investing in the cannabis
[14]
industry into the cannabis market right
[17]
now the cannabis market is one of the
[18]
hottest markets out there right now
[20]
and in this video i'm going to give you
[22]
a list of cannabis stocks that you
[23]
should be paying attention to
[25]
and in my opinion on why i feel like
[27]
cannabis
[28]
is one of the best growth opportunities
[31]
for those that are looking for ways to
[33]
grow and build wealth through
[34]
their portfolio over the next decade so
[37]
you want to keep watching this video all
[39]
the way to the very end and if you like
[40]
content like this you want to like this
[42]
video
[43]
you want to subscribe and hit the
[44]
notification bell so you do not have to
[47]
miss a single upload
[48]
when i upload videos all right guys see
[51]
you guys
[51]
in a minute we're going to dive right
[53]
into this video
[59]
all right so diving right into this list
[62]
that i promised you guys the first stock
[64]
on this list
[65]
is going to be tilray the symbol for
[67]
this company is
[69]
tlry and at the time of this video was
[72]
recorded it's priced at just over 22
[75]
dollars a share
[76]
now the the interesting thing about this
[79]
is that there's another stock
[81]
that is actually on this list that till
[83]
ray is actually
[84]
rumored right now i'll put some
[86]
information on the screen so you can see
[87]
that
[88]
but it's rumored right now to be merging
[90]
with another
[92]
company that is also on this list
[95]
and i'll go ahead and give you that
[97]
stock the stock symbol for that is
[99]
apha and it's priced at 22.60
[103]
a share so what i would do personally
[106]
is that if you're following either one
[108]
of these companies you would want to
[110]
probably invest in the other one as well
[112]
since they are linked to one another as
[114]
far as rumors now we don't know
[116]
at the time of this video i don't think
[117]
anything has actually happened
[119]
newswise if you know of anything that i
[122]
may not know of please put it down in
[123]
the comments section
[124]
but as far as i'm concerned it's just a
[127]
rumor right now
[129]
but i would still be paying close
[130]
attention and i would probably buy some
[132]
of
[132]
probably a share of each of them each
[134]
time you invest in this
[136]
in into one of these companies because
[137]
they are linked to each other but at
[139]
twenty two dollars a share
[141]
for both of them they're both reasonably
[144]
priced
[145]
and they're priced at a really good at a
[147]
really good point where you should be
[148]
able to
[149]
take advantage of some very early
[151]
entries
[152]
so the next stock that is on this
[156]
list is aurora cannabis now rural
[158]
cannabis
[159]
is it's a pretty popular option and
[162]
it's one of the most affordable um
[167]
cannabis stocks on the entire on the
[169]
entire stock market
[171]
and that is because it's priced at
[172]
around nine dollars a share
[174]
it's um it's very popular amongst you
[177]
know some meme stocks and maybe even
[178]
wall street bets
[179]
things like that if that's something
[181]
that you follow you can pay attention to
[183]
that you can look into that
[185]
but the most attractive thing is that it
[187]
is a cannabis stock
[189]
and it is priced at a at a very
[192]
reasonable at a very reasonable entry
[196]
point
[196]
about nine dollars a share it's under 10
[198]
bucks
[199]
it's not really that it's not expensive
[201]
at all it's something that you can
[203]
literally
[204]
you can literally take a few dollars
[207]
here and there every couple of weeks and
[210]
you could buy
[211]
you could buy up you could buy up a
[212]
share or two and
[214]
like i said it's very easy to get
[216]
involved in this this this type of stock
[218]
and this type of company so the
[221]
next stock on this list is sndl and sndl
[224]
is a stock that i've actually
[226]
bought quite a bit of because of its
[227]
price point at the
[229]
time of this video that i'm recording
[231]
this video it's priced at 1.20
[233]
a share and that is considered a penny
[236]
stock and
[237]
i have a couple of videos on penny
[239]
stocks on this channel i have talked
[241]
about penny stocks quite a bit
[244]
i will link those videos in the
[245]
description if you want to check those
[247]
videos
[248]
out or whatnot but i typically
[251]
don't invest too heavily into penny
[254]
stocks unless
[255]
that company is is a part of an industry
[259]
like this company whereas it's a
[262]
cannabis stock
[264]
although it's still considered a penny
[266]
stock it may be actually
[268]
worth the risk of buying because
[272]
of the projections in the industry which
[274]
i will talk about at a later point in
[275]
this video when i actually tell you why
[277]
i think this is the better this is one
[278]
of the best industries to get involved
[280]
in
[280]
but sndl it kind of bounces between that
[285]
1.20
[286]
to 1.50 share range
[289]
so it's not something that you should
[290]
expect massive growth overnight
[292]
one of the biggest most attractive
[294]
things about sndo is that it has a
[296]
large demand for its options market and
[299]
if you're somebody who
[301]
invests in options or trading options or
[303]
even interested in learning about
[304]
options you want to subscribe
[306]
to this channel because i talk a lot
[308]
about options
[309]
but you might want to look into sndl
[311]
because sndl has a
[313]
really really good they have really
[315]
really good demand and really good
[317]
volume
[318]
on their options contracts and it gets a
[320]
lot of movement because of the
[321]
volatility of this stock here
[324]
so that's one of the most attractive
[326]
things
[327]
about sndl and the reason why i actually
[329]
included on this list
[331]
is because the opportunity is it
[333]
stretches a little bit beyond just
[335]
buying and holding you also have
[337]
opportunity
[338]
in the options market as well with snbl
[342]
and the next stock on this list is
[345]
actually one of my favorites
[347]
that is gt
[351]
gtbif and that is green thumb industries
[354]
it's located right here in my hometown
[356]
chicago illinois
[358]
and it's actually what i consider it's
[361]
actually like one of
[362]
one of the biggest cannabis cannabis
[365]
companies in the country
[367]
and this company is a company that if
[369]
you're if you're invested in cannabis
[371]
and you're not paying attention to this
[372]
company
[373]
then you're probably going to miss out
[375]
on a huge opportunity here they have
[377]
such a large footprint already across
[379]
the country
[380]
with the number of dispensaries that
[381]
they actually have open
[383]
and the number of licenses they have the
[385]
number of things that they're doing
[387]
they're really starting to make a lot of
[390]
a lot of
[391]
you know head waves and a lot of
[392]
attention they're getting a lot of um
[394]
press press release attention and i feel
[397]
like out of the bunch out of every
[399]
everything on this list this is a
[401]
company that could really explode over
[404]
the next decade
[405]
and you could really start to see
[407]
because they're such a fast growth
[408]
company they're such a stable financial
[410]
company even at this point of its early
[412]
stages
[413]
and with all of the the
[417]
the state regulation coming into place
[419]
and
[420]
and you know they just recently expanded
[422]
into california
[423]
so they're doing some major things and
[426]
you
[427]
want to have green thumb industries on
[429]
your radar and you want this company to
[431]
be a company that you're paying
[432]
attention to
[433]
and that you're investing in now because
[435]
you may actually
[437]
regret not investing in this company or
[439]
not knowing about what this company is
[441]
doing
[442]
over the next decade as this company
[444]
gets more longevity
[446]
and as the industry as a whole grows i
[448]
feel like this is going to be a company
[450]
that we're going to look back at that's
[451]
going to
[452]
separate itself a little bit from the
[454]
rest
[455]
and i feel like they're they're going to
[457]
have a very very very strong
[459]
and a very very um a very very long term
[463]
projection
[464]
on on their growth and under
[466]
sustainability
[467]
so that's company big big time company
[470]
i'm invested in
[471]
this company that i would also recommend
[474]
anybody that is interested in cannabis
[476]
look into and the last stock
[479]
on this list is cgc which is
[482]
canada canopy growth company and it's
[485]
currently priced at 31
[486]
a share i don't know a whole lot about
[490]
canopy growth i don't really
[492]
that's not really a company that i
[493]
invest in a lot um i do pay attention to
[496]
it
[497]
but it's it's priced at around 30 a
[499]
share which is
[500]
where mainly the top out for most of
[503]
these companies
[504]
are which still provides a relatively
[508]
great scope of growth if it goes to say
[511]
40
[511]
50 a share range that's really good
[514]
growth for somebody even if you bought
[515]
in at this point in time
[518]
and that provides that provides a lot of
[521]
opportunity and if you are looking for
[523]
opportunity
[525]
in the stock market we bull
[528]
will actually give you two free stocks
[530]
when you deposit a hundred dollars or
[532]
more
[532]
and you open up a new brokerage account
[534]
i'm going to put that link down in the
[535]
description so if you're somebody who
[537]
wants to start investing
[540]
why not sign up with weeble you'll get
[542]
some free stocks
[543]
it's literally easy and it's literally
[546]
like free money
[547]
so why do i say that cannabis
[551]
is one of the best opportunities today
[553]
well the reason why i say that is
[555]
because
[556]
every decade we see we have always seen
[559]
an industry take off like if you think
[560]
about in the 2010s
[562]
the social media era these silicon
[565]
valley companies that really
[567]
exploded and really blew up over that
[569]
time period
[570]
well well imagine if your parents or if
[573]
yourself or
[574]
or somebody who you know invested in
[577]
those companies
[579]
while they were still at a lower point
[581]
or at a
[582]
early stage they may have sustained some
[586]
significant growth
[587]
over that period of time in their
[589]
portfolio well i think cannabis
[592]
is no different from what we've seen
[595]
doing those tech donors technology
[597]
stocks in the 2000
[598]
early 2010s in the early 2020s i think
[602]
that this is the time is now for
[603]
cannabis
[604]
i think cannabis is going to really
[609]
explode as far as revenue goes i think
[612]
this is a
[613]
is a massive industry in revenue and i
[617]
also believe that over the next
[621]
five to ten years more regulation will
[624]
happen
[625]
i don't know if federal regulation is
[627]
gonna happen or not
[628]
however what these companies now are
[630]
proven is that federal regulation
[632]
isn't necessarily needed for them to
[635]
really drive the revenue within their
[637]
companies which is a big point that i
[639]
want to point out
[640]
is that the recreational use of
[643]
marijuana is really a
[644]
really an icing on the cake in a sense
[647]
to what
[648]
type of impact this industry can
[649]
actually make in this industry is
[651]
actually making
[652]
this industry is actually very very
[654]
vital for people
[656]
who have certain medical conditions and
[659]
for medicinal purposes so it's solving
[663]
multiple problems just in humanity
[667]
aside from just the recreational use
[670]
recreational use is great
[672]
and it's good because it's it's it's
[673]
always going to be a market for that
[675]
just like with tobacco just like with
[677]
alcohol there's always going to be
[679]
people who are going to consume these
[682]
substances
[682]
and are going to use them whether they
[684]
use them responsibly or irresponsibly
[687]
but the point and purpose behind this is
[689]
that
[690]
cannabis unlike the others actually have
[694]
more sustainable benefits to people
[697]
outside of people just getting high and
[699]
just
[700]
and just blowing blowing marijuana you
[703]
know and
[704]
that's that's one of the that's one of
[705]
the things about myself and that's one
[707]
of the things that i teach
[708]
students clients people who learn from
[710]
me is that when you invest
[712]
you want to invest in things that are
[714]
one gonna change the lives of others
[716]
two you want to invest in something that
[718]
you believe in
[719]
like if you believe in something you
[721]
want to invest in it and three
[722]
you want to bet with your dollars and
[725]
the way you be
[726]
the way you bet with your dollars is you
[728]
put your money into something
[730]
that you that you're betting on it on on
[734]
the future of it
[735]
growing or you're betting on a certain
[737]
outcome and with cannabis
[740]
i'm betting with my dollars that this
[743]
industry will be able to
[745]
be sustainable on the recreational side
[748]
and it will also
[750]
be sustainable on the medical side of
[752]
things as well
[753]
to whereas it kind of covers multiple
[756]
bases at once
[757]
and it gives you multiple opportunities
[760]
wrapped into one
[761]
so if you're investing in cannabis
[764]
you're you're giving yourself the best
[766]
chance to grow with an industry that
[769]
is considered an essential business by
[771]
the way and
[773]
it's going to be able to be become
[774]
sustainable i mean cannabis companies
[776]
right now
[777]
has survived the pandemic that is huge
[781]
for its long-term growth because it was
[784]
considered an essential business because
[786]
of the benefits that it has to people
[788]
outside of just recreational so you got
[791]
to really open your horizon you got to
[793]
be able to see
[794]
bigger than just than just recreation i
[798]
mean recreation is huge
[799]
i mean there's a large market for people
[802]
that love to smoke weed that love to get
[805]
high
[806]
and that's pretty massive
[810]
but the opportunity here is much greater
[813]
than that
[814]
because it has so many other benefits to
[816]
that and that's the reason why myself
[819]
and my wife and people who are following
[821]
me
[822]
are investing heavily into cannabis and
[824]
a reason why you should as well
[827]
alright guys so that pretty much wraps
[828]
up today's video
[830]

[849]
detail so you want to
