The Petition on change.org for a $2000 stimulus
check now has over 2.5 million signatures.

According to the group running the petition,
unemployment might be 5.9% according to government
[99]
data but that doesn t include all the Americans
that felt they were forced into early retirement,

those that lost benefits but still haven t
found work or the area this group pushes the

most which is lower income or service and
restaurant businesses.

According to this group, the unemployment
rate is closer to 20%.

This is also the large number of open jobs.

The US has 9.2 million job openings right
now.

In fact, if you have money in the stock market
you probably felt the big drops since July

4th in your portfolio.

If you are holding any of the stocks I ve
shared in the past, they are bouncing back

nicely today and should continue back on their
upward trend so don t panic sell just yet.

According to Senate Minority Leader Mitch
McConnell he thinks the current inflation,

higher cost of goods and gas prices squarely
rests on the shoulders of Democrats.

He said he s not worried about Democrats saying
we passed the $1.9 trillion spending bill

all on our own because as people feel the
financial pressure on their wallets, they

will one day say democrats are the reasons
things have become so expensive.

McConnell said he will continue to fight for
the right type of package to be passed as

more needs to be done to help people and improve
the country, but absurdly overpriced spending

bills are going to hurt democrats and the
American people.

The American Jobs Plan has the support of
democrats and republicans so it will likely

pass unless Biden, Schumer and Pelosi want
to see it pass at the same time as the American

Families Plan.

Now we know the American Families Plan will
have to pass via Budget Reconciliation voting

or will have to be shrunk down to an unrecongnizeable
bill to democrats.

According to the US Census 20 million Americans
are struggling to keep enough food in their

homes.

This same census showed that 11.5 million
renters have fallen behind on rent.

20% of these have one or more children in
the rented home or apartment.

So 80% of those behind on rent don t have
a child yet all the focus has been on children

s child tax credit check.

The singles or those with kids out of the
home are falling further behind.

According the Federal Bank of New York one
area of America is booming, with assets like

stocks and real estate going up in value while
those without resources are losing the few

resources they have.

According to this same bank 66 million American
are living pay check to pay check or social

security check to social security check.

If food prices being hire the same income
doesn t go as far.

With gas prices up over 40% in 6 months filling
your gas tank could mean choosing between

groceries and a tank of gas.

So democrats have all the power to push a
stimulus check and all the other stimulus

programs through, the question is will they?

25 states decided to end the $300 federal
unemployment benefits program early to get

people back to work.

Well it is working for some people and for
others its been very painful.

Many of the states that ended the unemployment
early are now dealing with reinstatement lawsuits
[452]
where citizens have banded together to hold
these states to the September end date time
[458]
frame.

A few states have reinstated these benefits
but others have had courts say the Governor
[469]
was justified in making these changes for
the best interest of their states financial
[475]
health.

The biggest reason people are fighting back
to reinstate the federal unemployment is their
[481]
state unemployment has lapsed or gone past
the states time line for helping while the
[491]
federal unemployment was set up to go until
September.

Earlier this week President Biden suggested
federal workers should go door to door asking

people if they are vaccinated after saying
it should be people s own choice.

They white house press secretary Jen Psaki
said there will be federal workers going door
[520]
to door demanding to know if you have been
vaccinated.

According to the secretary of Human Health
Services Becerra, The Federal Government has

spent trillions of dollars to keep Americans
alive during this pandemic.

So it is absolutely the governments business
to know how is vaccinated.

It is tax payers business if we continue to
spend money.

I m curious to know from my community, do
you think the government has a right to knock

on your door and demand to know the vaccination
status of every member of your family?

I know this is a very polarizing topic so
you don t need to say if you ve been vaccinated

or not, I m just wondering if you think the
government has the right to demand these answers?

I read that millions of americans
have been skipping their second dose after

getting the first dose.

With vaccination rates falling, President
Biden and his cabinet have been discussing

the idea of making vaccines mandatory but
they know it crosses lines of free choice

vs making someone get something put into their
body.

A question I am getting a lot this week is
Stephen why is the stock market dropping.

This could come from the fact that some of
you are new to investing and have enjoyed

lots of upward growth.

However, the markets don t go up forever and
we are experiencing a pull back.

Now there are two main reasons for this.

The first is the new department of labor information
this week that over 9 million jobs are available

while employers say they are struggling to
fill positions.

This leads investors to believe if a company
isn t running at full staff they won t bring
[647]
in as much money so they tend to pull profits
off the table and we see stock values go down.

The second reason is the media is starting
to talk about a covid variant they are calling

Delta another they are calling Lambda.

Some investors worry that too much negative
press about his topic could cause a major
[681]
sell off like we saw in March of 2020 so again
they are pulling profits off the table and

we saw stocks drop in value.

Now I saw some of my stock portfolio drop
by a number that would make most people sick.

However, I m staying the course as I ve researched
these companies and I m staying the course.

I also used this opportunity to buy some of
the stock I ve told you about as they are

at discount prices we might not see again
for a long time or possibly ever.

On these purchases I ve already made a nice
amount of money back.

For example one of the stock I bought dropped
almost 4% within 48 hours of buying it.

Since I believe in the company and the wall
street analysts see growth in the future I

chose to buy this stock and could see a 22%
increase on this bucket of money within the
[806]
next 12 months.

You have to look at these placements with
very little emotion which can be hard to do

when you have money on the line.

Just this morning Senate Majority leader Chuck
Schumer said he is ready to bring one or two

of these big spending bill ideas to a vote.

However, we will see if Senator Schumer pushes
forward the stimulus check like he said he

would or whether he will double down on legalizing
marijuana on a federal level.

Schumer said if all democrats will ban together
they will be able to unlock a democrat only

bill with everything the party wants to include
in the spending bill.

Schumer said he will get these bills over
the line for the people and for his party.
