General Mills Star Wars Color Changing Spoon Unboxing - YouTube

Hi guys, my name is Krasava and I'm here with Scavenger's Holocron and we're going

to be doing another unboxing video for you today. Last time we took on the

Mystery Minis and the Smuggler's Bounty "The Last Jedi" box, and today we're

going to be doing something a little bit different. Since The Last Jedi season is

upon us there's a lot of merchandising going around. You notice it every time

you go to the store and grocery stores are no exception from that. You notice

that there's a lot of merchandising on packages from Glad sandwich bags to

Campbell Soup containers and another thing that there is is cereal boxes.

There's a new promotion going on right now with General Mills. They have six

different color changing spoons inside. There is a BB-8, a Captain Phasma, a

Chewbacca, R2D2, a Kylo Ren, and a Rey variant that's on the back along with a

cute little puzzle. So I have bought a bunch of these boxes and I'm going to

open them all for you on camera today and hopefully we can get all six. If not,

I'm hoping for at least a little bit of a variety. I see they're already starting

to go on eBay for about $5 per spoon which, you know, at least if you buy it

this way you get the cereal too instead of just the spoon. But if you're a

collector and you get five and you want to have all of them, I could see spending

a little bit, buying them off eBay. So without further ado, let's get started.

Let's get this open.

And the good thing is, you don't even have to open the cereal.

I had this here just in case cause, like I said, this is totally unopened, so...

Don't even need the spoon. I was literally ready to just pour this out for you on

camera I can just start like digging through with my bare hands to find it

but fortunately it's all sealed so we're all good there. So the first spoon that I

got is R2D2. It's a cute blue and grey color. It's got some good detailing on it.

Right now I'm gonna leave it in the packaging cause I don't know how many I'm

going to get and maybe I can pass these off to some friends if they like it so I'm

not gonna open them all but it's just it's a classic R2D2 spoon that's got the

cute little detailing on it.

One down, five to go.

In case you're wondering I'm gonna do with all this cereal? Got lots of friends. Friends like

cereal, or I can do interesting things with it. This doesn't expire until September 18th 2018 so I got a year to

use all this. So I'm in luck, I've gotta Rey. The design on this is actually

really cute. It looks like it's her "The Last Jedi" costume, the one that she's

wearing on Ahch-To with, uh, Luke. She's got the vest with the fringed

sleeves and it looks like she's holding the lightsaber. At first I wasn't sure if

it was the lightsaber or staff but judging by the little marks on it, it looks like it's the

lightsaber. And she still has her three bun hairstyle except you can only see

the top bun. She's also not wearing her wrist guard, she's just wearing the

sleeves, so, two down four to go. It'll be great if I manage to just get

all of them. I'll be a very happy camper.

Let's see. I don't see the spoon...there it is, I have to dig for it. We are three for six, and we got

Kylo Ren, so that makes me very happy. It looks like its actually his "The

Force Awakens" costume. He's got the tunic with the belt across.

There's not a lot of plating or detailing on the tunic, it's just flat,

but he's got the scarf around his shoulders. If you've seen the

promotional material for The Last Jedi, he's swapped out his scarf that he

usually wears with the hood in favor of a cape that looks much more like Darth

Vader. So he's wearing the scarf but the hood

is down and he's got his signature helmet on and you can see there's a lot

of detailing on the sleeves and a lot of ribbing, so...

We're at three for six, I'm

very happy. Got five more boxes to open so this might be a good day for me.

But if I can at least get 5 out of 6 I'll be happy but right now, 3 out of 6?

We're off to a good start.

And as you notice of the last three boxes I opened are Honey Nut Cheerios.

This one has also Honey Nut Cheerios but it's also the family size so those

three that I actually got at Target and then I also went to Walmart looking for

the Movie Moments pops so...

I got a Rey! I got another Rey. We have two Reys now.

Let's try another Honey Nut Cheerios box. I got a good assortment of boxes because I

wanted to see if maybe like the family size had like different pops like if you

had to get one versus the other but I think it's just random.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it.

And this one is another Rey so if you really want

Rey, I would definitely recommend getting the Honey Nut Cheerios or at

least a family size because I don't know what the odds are of the two that I

managed to pick up... because I didn't just take the two in front

I, like, dug through them and pulled one from the back just to sort of...

It probably didn't matter, just, for me...

So I got three Reys now, all my Reys are in

Honey Nut Cheerios so...

I don't know, I'm starting to get worried now, I've got three

boxes left and I got three to go so these are not good odds so now I'm

nervous. See we got Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a big childhood favorite for many.

Unfortunately, and this is true, I am gluten intolerant so I will not be

eating these. Luckily, as I said, I got lots of friends. Maybe for Christmas people are going to get cereal from me.

We got another R2D2 so the odds that I bought all this cereal, that I'm gonna

collect all six, are, uh, it's not gonna happen now. I'm still missing

BB-8, Captain Phasma and Chewbacca and it's funny because they show all six on

here. I've got the three on this side and I just need to get three on this side.

Am I going to get lucky?

I at least want BB-8, I'm hoping for BB-8, or, I mean, I got Kylo Ren, give me Phasma.

As you can see we've got Cookie Crisp, another childhood favorite I'm sure, everyone loves

cookies for breakfast, especially kids. How much sugar does this have? This only

has nine grams of sugar, that's honestly surprising to me, I thought it

would be a lot more.

These are healthy cookies.

And we got...oh, we got Chewbacca, okay. So, I just, it's

funny, so yeah, I said I wanted BB-8 or Phasma and on the next go, I've got Chewbacca

so maybe I should say I'm hoping for Phasma on the next box one and I'll get BB-8.

So Chewbacca just, you know, he looks like Chewbacca.

There's not like...he's not really holding anything, he's not holding his bowcaster,

he's just standing with his hand on his chest so...

Unfortunately we have one more

box. Very popular Reese's Puffs.

And don't forget, if you're buying a lot of cereal, use your box tops.

One more, who is it gonna be? I'm afraid to look...

And it's another Rey. Okay, so out of, let's see

here... one two three four five six seven eight boxes that I bought, I have one

Chewbacca, a Kylo Ren, two R2D2, and four Rey.

So that's what I got I'm not sure if I'm

going to buy a few more boxes or just look them up on eBay to try to complete

the set, you know, maybe I'll see if anyone else is buying some cereal and, uh,

you know, I've got four Reys, hopefully other people weren't as lucky with Rey

and I can trade them with others, mix and match them, but if you do open up a box

Okay, so after I signed off the last

video I messaged one of my friends and they asked me if I had tested it on

camera and I realized, no, I didn't, so I'm just going to tack this on here and show

you how this works. There are six different color changes as I mentioned

before. BB-8 is orange, Captain Phasma's purple, Chewbacca is

green, R2D2 is purple. Kylo Ren is grey for some reason even though the spoon is

grey itself instead of red I'm not sure why and Rey is blue. So I have the Rey

spoon here since I got four of them I opened one up and we're going to give it

a try and just dip it in and see if it works

So there's no instructions with it

to see like how long to put it in until it turns blue. Though this is just a glass of iced water so...

It'd probably work better in cold milk or something like that.

Oh and okay and already I see there's the rebellion logo on the top of the spoon

and you can see it's already quite quickly turning blue if you dip it in

like cold milk. And I'll turn it this way. I'm trying to drown Rey.

Yeah you can see

that she was turning blue quite quickly, then yeah, here's the gray spoon. It

actually still feels cold to the touch, like you can still, like, feel how cold it

is. That's a little weird but, you know, I think it's pretty cool. I'm not sure how

long this will actually stay blue for but I'll make sure to post an update

with that probably sometime in the near future.
