Channel: Canadian Parinday

[4]
Today we’re visiting our friends in Toronto,
[6]
and we thought of taking this good opportunity
[8]
to show you the inside of Toronto apartment,
[11]
how it actually looks like.
[12]
So one-bedroom apartment here,
[14]
this is a very prime location
[15]
almost 2 kilometers from downtown Toronto.
[18]
You can see that there is the CN Tower here,
[20]
there is a highway next to it.
[21]
A lot of good amenities all around.
[23]
Stay tuned till the end of the video to see the features you should be looking at any of the rental units,
[29]
especially when you’re paying $1500 or above.
[64]
Let us take you inside the unit to show you how it actually looks like.
[87]
Let’s show you the exact feel of the house.
[90]
This is the big entrance.
[91]
This building is constructed in 2018, and our friends, they are the first occupant of this house.
[97]
So as soon as you enter into the apartment,
[99]
the first on your left side is the Kitchen,
[102]
this is the open concept kitchen they have it.
[105]
If you’re out in a market for renting irrespective of any city of Canada,
[109]
make sure that you get enough spacious freeze.
[112]
Since we don’t do grocery regularly,
[114]
Make sure you have a good ventilation exhaust that ventilates outside.
[119]
Third, the most important part,
[121]
make sure the unit has a dishwasher irrespective of what rent you’re paying.
[125]
This is the inbuilt freeze with a finishing look,
[128]
It looks so nice.
[129]
Here they have a microwave.
[131]
There is an Induction Gas Stove, which is way better than having a coil,
[135]
Due to which, at least in my experience, my Indian utensils are very burnt.
[139]
Induction is properly safe especially when there is a kid in your house,
[142]
It let you know when its hot and this ring is red,
[147]
That means you shouldn’t be putting anything on it, especially your hand.
[151]
They have the inbuilt oven,
[153]
which is again awesome if you like baking OR if you wanna bake chicken or something.
[157]
The finishing is so nice, they have everything inbuilt.
[161]
They have the dishwasher somewhere,
[163]
I have to check which one is the dishwasher?
[166]
Here it is,
[168]
that‘s the dishwasher,
[170]
and trust me if you’re renting in Toronto or any city of Canada,
[176]
If you have to get an apartment with a dishwasher by paying an extra $100,
[180]
then go for it,
[181]
dishwasher is a lifesaver hack.
[184]
In Canada, there is no surprise you actually need hot water throughout the year irrespective of how hot it is.
[191]
And for that, you don’t need to have a geyser in the bathroom or somewhere in the kitchen,
[195]
instead, buildings have their hot water system,
[199]
and this comes automatically in a tap.
[200]
For example, this one, if you turn on the right,
[203]
it will get the hot water,
[205]
and for this, there is cold water.
[207]
Keep that in mind, next time when you go out to check out houses,
[210]
Ask your landlord about the ventilation system,
[213]
either it throws the air out or circulates it inside?
[215]
There is a very cool way to find it out.
[218]
Open its upper cabinet,
[220]
if there is a duck, that means this ventilation is going outside.
[224]
But,
[224]
If you don’t find this duck, that means ventilation is circulating inside the house.
[229]
Even though the Kitchen is small, which happens in most of the rental house,
[233]
but the cabinets they’re provided with lots n lots of space.
[238]
Though, I’ve asked permission from my friend to show you guys.
[241]
See how… that’s lovely.
[243]
Every single time I come to her house,
[245]
I get wow by all the organization and cleaning that she do.
[250]
Is somebody in there?
[251]
It’s open.
[252]
Let’s see who’s taking shower?
[259]
Nobody, I was just making fun.
[260]
So this is the bathroom look like.
[262]
Most of the time, the rented apartment irrespective of building you’re getting your house in,
[268]
this comes with the water bathtub, which is an amazing factor,
[270]
because you or your family or any of your kids will enjoy having a bath.
[277]
They got these curtains just to make sure that water doesn’t spill out.
[282]
And it does come with the shower with no tap.
[285]
That’s how the basic bathtub is.
[289]
Since its a new build and this is a fancy one,
[292]
they have such a beautiful vanity here.
[294]
Under the sink, you get a stroller space which is a lot of space,
[298]
Again, they might have something personal inside.
[301]
That’s a big storage space under the sink where you can keep your bathroom accessories or anything.
[307]
Behind this big door,
[309]
the door is nothing, it’s a common door for the main bathroom.
[311]
Come I’ll show you.
[312]
So here they have
[314]
the stack washer and dryer
[316]
and trust me guys, this is a great advantage of having a washer and dryer in your rented apartment.
[322]
We used to go to a common laundry room,
[323]
where we had to pay coin every time,
[325]
everyone was doing laundry there, and this is such a hassle-free thing.
[329]
It’s quite less spacious and perfect whenever you wanna do laundry at your time and you need not go down.
[335]
Now every house has a cluttered corner, and for my friend Saanchi,
[339]
this is the one,
[339]
don’t judge her.
[343]
See.
[344]
It’s a COVID season,
[345]
she needs to stock everything
[347]
and that too in double quantity which being the reason she has stocked up everything,
[351]
this space is big enough.
[352]
She has a stroller here.
[354]
She has a huge rack of shoes.
[356]
She has all the necessary items that she may need in her day to day life.
[361]
And on top, I have kept my stuff here.
[363]
This is my living room.
[366]
She is my daughter - “Saanvi”, she’s five years old.
[369]
Say Hi to viewers.
[370]
Hiii……..
[371]
This is the standard look of a living room in an apartment of Toronto.
[375]
There is a sofa on the left, TV in right.
[379]
This is the cabinet that was inclusively given by their landlord with this apartment.
[383]
They bought the sofa and they bought the TV from IKEA.
[386]
That’s the best place to buy your things especially when you want to keep your budget in control.
[391]
This area might look small to you on screen but,
[393]
they have well organized it and it depends on person to person choice.
[397]
The less furniture you put in the house, the more space you will feel.
[401]
And here they have maintained all the toys for Saanvi.
[405]
I love the way my friend organize her thing,
[407]
Here she has arranged all her softies.
[412]
You have less space, you want to utilize it to the best of every corner,
[416]
and that’s what my friend did.
[418]
Well utilized this small space for the temple,
[420]
and as you’re seeing, kids like playing here.
[424]
They’re doing “Jai Jai”, paying obeisance to god.
[428]
Now as per the regulations in Canada,
[433]
Ok...She needs something from me. Can I help you with something?
[438]
Can I get you mum?
[439]
Mum.
[440]
Are you enjoying biscuits?
[443]
You did. Can you say ThankYou?
[445]
How do we say ThankYou?
[450]
So, if you really liked this little girl’s apartment,
[453]
don’t forget to like this video and subscribe to our channel.
[458]
So yes, coming back.
[460]
Every unit in Canada irrespective its renting or not has to come with the Center Heating System.
[466]
So this is another great feature which you want to see in a renting apartment.
[470]
Does it include Air Conditioning or not?
[472]
It’s not like that I don’t do exercise,
[474]
this door is really very heavy.
[476]
Do you guys still hear me?
[478]
The highway is quite close by, which means the reason this is so noisy from outside.
[482]
So we’re on the 5th floor, and this is a 33 storeyed building.
[486]
The view is still very nice to look from here.
[489]
And look people are doing shopping or second-hand shopping.
[492]
I have only one child, don’t know what will happen to my legs when I’ll have two kids.
[495]
Both are sitting on the same leg.
[499]
I really wanna get your attention on this glass balcony which I observed is great especially if you have kid,
[505]
they won’t be able to throw away in between the gaps, it’s completely secure.
[510]
This is a fun great place where Saanvi can do her artwork just like what we do with Arshya on the patio door.
[524]
Meet my husband.
[527]
Are you listening?
[531]
See, that’s their style when the food is hot, keep it under the vent.
[536]
This is such a decent size bedroom considering entire apartment is of 550 sq ft.
[541]
In this, their Queen and twin-sized beds are easily equipped.
[544]
Now, the landlord has given this bed to them which comes with the house.
[549]
All they have bought is - this table to make a small little office room,
[552]
and it’s still very quiet spacious enough to walk around,
[556]
and they got this big closet over here.
[558]
This is the second closet they have in this house.
[561]
The first one was a linen that I showed you.
[563]
Another great thing about this unit is that -
[565]
it has got big windows.
[567]
So irrespective of apartment’s small size, but because of big windows it actually gives you feeling of a big apartment.
[578]
That’s how the one-bedroom apartment under 700 sq ft looks like in Toronto.
[583]
Guys,
[583]
And our experience doesn’t matter whether your house was new or old, how much sq ft it was.
[589]
Ultimately the house that you found you fall in love with and you happily call it home.
[594]
That really matters.
[595]
And with this video,
[596]
we wish you luck that you soon find your first rented place in Canada that you call your home.
[601]
Where did you bring this cooker?
[603]
I got this from here only, the one that I brought from India broke.
