[0]
- When I was a little kid, when I was about 10 years old,
[2]
my dad and I, we would go fishing.
[5]
And my dad would always get on this little boat
[8]
and we would kind of take the boat
[9]
to about 30 minutes away from the city, this was in Hong Kong
[14]
and we would fish in that area.
[16]
And as a little kid, I'll ask my Dad,
[18]
"Dad, why do I have to get on a boat and go to this area?
[20]
"Why couldn't we just fish where we are?
[23]
"Why would you have to make this trip?"
[25]
And my dad would say to me,
[26]
"Well, son, that's where the fish is."
[28]
And I always remember the lesson,
[29]
just like the reporter asked a famous bank robber,
[33]
like why did you rob in the bank?
[34]
'Cause that's where the money is.
[36]
Right, is the same idea.
[37]
As an entrepreneur,
[39]
choosing the right industry is very, very critical.
[42]
And there are many industries that we could get into, right?
[44]
And sometimes I think we are overconfident as an entrepreneur,
[47]
and we say we could go into any industry,
[49]
sell any product, offer any service and provide solution
[53]
and we could be very successful in doing that.
[55]
I think that's simply not true.
[57]
So today I'm gonna share with you nine industries
[59]
that are most likely to make you a millionaire.
[62]
And if that's your goal,
[64]
there are many industries that you can get into.
[65]
Now, I'm not talking about, like, gimmicks
[67]
and tricks like cryptocurrency or winning the lottery,
[70]
I'm talking about the legitimate, proven industries,
[73]
that have created millionaires and billionaires.
[76]
Industry number one that is most likely
[79]
that will make you a millionaire
[80]
and that is financial services.
[83]
Now, when I say financial services,
[85]
I'm talking about the management of money,
[88]
money lending or management of assets.
[91]
We're talking about the loan associations,
[94]
banks, financial companies,
[96]
insurance companies, brokerage.
[98]
A lot of those firms are very, very wealthy
[100]
because there's a lot of money in money.
[103]
One of the things I learned from one of my mentors,
[105]
he said to me, "Dan, don't ever forget,
[107]
"the money is in the money."
[110]
There's a lot of money to be made just by managing,
[112]
handling, investing money.
[114]
Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York,
[117]
became a billionaire by providing financial data
[120]
to the financial industry.
[121]
Industry number two, technology.
[124]
Now, you know the Google, the Facebook, the Apple,
[127]
but we're talking beyond that.
[128]
Think about traditional industries that you could go into,
[131]
maybe by using technology,
[133]
what you could do to disrupt that industry.
[136]
And you can see that a lot.
[137]
Now we call that disruptors, right?
[139]
How you could use technology to make things more efficient?
[142]
We're talking about robotics, we're talking about AI,
[144]
we're talking about automation,
[146]
we're talking about manufacture of these technology products
[149]
or even providing technology as service.
[152]
Billions and billions and billions dollars worth of value
[155]
are gonna be created in this particular sector.
[158]
So, are you a technology entrepreneur?
[161]
Industry number three, health care.
[163]
My mentor Dan Pena, the $50 billion man,
[166]
talks about this a lot, health care,
[168]
because people are willing to spend a lot of money
[171]
to live longer.
[173]
So health care, I'm referring to,
[174]
could be assisted living, senior homes,
[177]
pharmaceutical, any products or services
[179]
that'll help people to live longer life and stay healthier,
[183]
that's very, very good industry to get into.
[185]
Industry number four, real estate and construction.
[188]
United Nations forecast predicts,
[190]
by 2025, the world's population will increase
[194]
to almost eight billion people, eight billion people,
[198]
by 2050, it would be almost 10 billion people.
[202]
That's 10 million people on this little planet by 2050.
[206]
Now, what does that mean?
[207]
Where's the opportunity?
[208]
We all need a place to sleep in,
[211]
to play in, to entertain,
[213]
to go to, to shop. Real estate and construction.
[216]
Industry number five, education.
[218]
With all the changes,
[220]
all the technological changes that are happening,
[222]
knowledge becomes very, very critical.
[224]
People want to learn,
[225]
they want to equip themselves with skill sets,
[227]
and that's the space that I am in, the education
[230]
and software space,
[231]
because I can see the opportunity happening right now
[234]
in front of us to connect individuals,
[236]
people, professionals,
[238]
to 21st century skills and job opportunities.
[241]
Now, within education,
[242]
you could also have products and services and software
[245]
that helps people in many different ways.
[246]
So we have traditional education,
[248]
but we also have alternative education,
[250]
education outside of the school systems, right?
[253]
And it doesn't always have to be academic,
[255]
it could be other types of education
[257]
that can help people to lead a better life.
[259]
Education, huge business.
[260]
Industry number six, entertainment and recreation.
[265]
Beyond than just education, people want to be entertained.
[268]
In fact people demand entertainment.
[270]
You look at all these big companies
[272]
are getting into the entertainment industry.
[274]
Now, what am I talking about?
[275]
Movies, animations, productions, special effects.
[279]
There's so many companies going into that industry.
[282]
Amazon Prime, of course, you have Netflix,
[284]
Hulu, Disney Plus, I could go on and on and on.
[287]
Why?
[287]
Because this is where we are going.
[290]
Now on the other hand,
[291]
thinking about industries who help
[293]
and facilitate this particular industry,
[295]
but also we talking about influencers,
[297]
YouTubers, Instagrammers, right?
[299]
Now for the first time,
[301]
you have people in that industry.
[303]
Standup comedians could make millions doing that,
[307]
before you couldn't, most of time they struggle,
[309]
but now we are in this age of people want entertainment.
[312]
So, if you can find a way to create a product
[315]
or service or company around this
[317]
to service this particular industry
[320]
or to service this demand, you could also make millions.
[323]
Industry number seven, transportation.
[326]
Now, human beings we like to travel.
[328]
As now with the internet, the more we see the more...
[331]
We don't want always wanna be stuck in a house,
[332]
we wanna go out there and see things.
[334]
So air transportation, aerospace, huge opportunities.
[336]
But also think about now people buying online
[339]
and shopping online.
[340]
Where do you think the opportunity could be?
[343]
Handling shipping packages.
[346]
I'm not just talking about FedEx or UPS or DHL.
[348]
Think of something like Uber Eats.
[350]
People like stuff being delivered to them,
[353]
as now people are shopping more and more online.
[356]
This is a huge industry.
[358]
Just by being able to provide service or product.
[361]
It could be as simple as providing software
[363]
to help these companies
[365]
to manage the inventory better, right?
[367]
Or the shipping handling better.
[368]
That could be easily a multimillion dollar business.
[371]
Industry number eight, energy,
[373]
especially renewable energy.
[375]
So, going beyond than just oil and gas,
[378]
now we're talking about solar or wind, right?
[380]
So, with billions and billions of people,
[383]
we all need power, we need more power
[386]
to power up our devices and our technology.
[389]
So that's huge industry.
[390]
If you could come up with creative solutions
[393]
that could solve this problem,
[395]
not just millions,
[396]
it could be billions of dollars.
[399]
But you need to have certain team,
[401]
you need to have an understanding
[402]
of how this whole thing works,
[403]
and you need to be able to work with government
[405]
to how to execute this properly,
[407]
but there's definitely a lot of money to be made in energy.
[410]
Industry number nine, food.
[413]
Now, with billions of people, not only we need power, right?
[416]
We need a place to live in and we also need to eat.
[419]
So in the food industry, that's not gonna go away.
[421]
With so many people on the planet,
[422]
we need more cost effective,
[424]
more efficient way to produce, create food, right?
[427]
To produce food to feed so many people.
[429]
So, what do we need to do?
[430]
Again, maybe you can come up with solutions
[432]
that could go into these certain industries.
[434]
And I'm not just talking about fast food,
[436]
because with so many options,
[438]
people want healthier choices as well.
[440]
And to me supplements, health type products,
[443]
are all those products fall into this category.
[445]
If people are eating it and taking it
[447]
to want to have a healthier life,
[449]
yes, that falls into this as well.
[450]
So, those are the nine industries that I believe
[453]
that are most likely to make you a millionaire.
[456]
But you need to also combine that with your skills,
[459]
your background and your know-how.
[461]
Getting into the right industry is one thing,
[463]
but you also need to be the right person
[465]
in the right industry in order to make it big.
[467]
Does that make sense?
