Leading the charge | Thoughts on better gameplay - Planetside 2 Analysis - YouTube
Channel: Joshino
[0]
Hello people,
Joshino here again.
[2]
Today I am going to talk about being that guy who makes the
[4]
first move and pushes out
[6]
The one that potentially leads the charge.
Encouraging others to leave a spawn room
[10]
or to even end a stalemate.
[13]
I have been mulling over doing a
'What role do lonewolves and small squads play in planetside 2 video
[17]
and how they can be effective but I thought
this point may need its own.
[20]
So I think everyone has come across the guy who shouts in the spawn room,
[24]
"Get out of the bleeping spawn room you spawn camping BLEEPS
[27]
BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP
"Teamkill Rapage"
[31]
well I'm here to suggest the approach
of making the first move
[34]
And 'then' shouting for everyone to come with you.
Or at least leading by example.
[39]
Although this has the tendency to get
you killed and not everyone is okay with
[43]
that which is fine.
[44]
Most of the time though it isn't about running head on into a shotgun blast.
[48]
It's about looking at the map and
figuring out where you need to go
[52]
in order to give your faction buds the
confidence to come out with you!
[55]
"wink, wink"
[57]
Anyway, in this first clip
[58]
I have pushed around with my max
To where a big group of NC players are stuck being spawn
[63]
camped.
[63]
I try to clear as much of the campers watching the doorway as possible
[90]
I am forced to retreat
[91]
however my efforts are not in vain.
Audibly one guy is shouting that the front
[95]
door is clear
[96]
which prompts a rush.
I tried to get back to the front
[99]
when repaired
[145]
In this occasion having some 'hudspa'
was rewarded massively.
[149]
So here's my second clip,
The NC and TR
[153]
are pretty evenly popped
Here at Esamir Munitions.
[157]
Where the NC are held back on a bridge.
[168]
I use the jump pad and my jump jets to get behind them.
[186]
I get quite a lot of kills and because of
this my allies are able to push over the
[191]
bridge
[191]
also I am able to secure B point.
[208]
I spot some maxes and what I think to be engineers behind them.
[219]
I don't get so lucky this time and they were actually medics.
[222]
Anyway I'll just leave you with the clips leading up to this,
[226]
where I died a bit more,
[229]
To illustrate that it wasn't just a cake walk.
Sometimes
[233]
no one will follow you.
Sometimes you will die quickly
[236]
and feel like a plonker but at the end
of the day - you Tried!
[240]
I hope this video was interesting in
some way and that's all you might try to
[243]
be more aggressive
[244]
or give leading by example a go.
Anyway, until next time guys
[249]
Joshino.
