today bitcoin dropped through the nineteen  thousand dollar point to eighteen thousand  

six hundred and something today being june 18  2022 welcome to crypto housewife let's take a  

brief look at the history of bitcoin on wikipedia  and specifically bitcoin's price change since uh  

january 2009 okay so january 2009 to march 2010  we'll go over line by line just for the fun of it  

basically nothing happened so the price of a  bitcoin unchanged it really started out at zero  

so back then january 2009 march 20 2010  basically nothing so no exchanges or market  

users were mainly uh crypto cryptography fans  who were sending bitcoins for hobby purposes  

representing low or no value so march 20 2010  users smoke too much auction 10 000 bitcoins for  

50 bucks cumulatively but no buyer was found oh my  goodness so me 2010 less than a penny bitcoin less  

than a penny so on may 22nd 2010 uh laszlo menuses  made the first real world transaction by buying  

two pizzas in jacksonville florida for 10 000  bitcoins an amount that would surpass 600 million  

if held in april 2021. oh my goodness ten thousand  bitcoins for two pizzas back in 2010 all right so  

february 2011 april 2011. bitcoin a dollar hit  a dollar bitcoin takes part takes party with u.s  

dollar november 2013 price of bitcoin between  350 dollars and a thousand twelve hundred and  

forty two so the price rose from 150 in october  to 200 in november reaching 1200 on november 29th  

2013. 1200 that's not that long ago i mean oh gosh  almost a decade imagine then today i'm talking  

about bitcoin being at 18 600. 18 600. okay so  april april 2014 price of bitcoin to 340 to 530  

okay and the lowest price since the 2012  2013 [ __ ] prior prior financial crisis had  

been reached on april 11th so march 2nd and  3rd 2017 bitcoin almost 1300 dollars almost  

in may 20th 2017 bitcoin hits 2 000. awesome okay  september 1st 2017 bitcoin hits 5 000. price broke  

5000 for the very first time november 17th to 20th  2017 between 7 600 and 8 100. so december 15 2017.  

that's not many years after it was at five uh it  was this month after it was at 5000 bitcoin hit 17  

900 and then two days later 19 000 unreal  unreal bitcoin is volatile it can just spike  

up when it wants to and pull back in as we  see december 22 2017 13 800 uh it lost one  

third of its value in 24 hours so february 5th  rate down to 6200 drop by 50 in 16 days 50 in  

16 days oh my gosh okay so halloween 2018  6300 on the 10th anniversary of bitcoin  

the price held steady above 6000 during a  period of historically low volatility okay so so  

october 2018 was the 10th anniversary of bitcoin  so december 7th 2018 down again 3300 march  

16 2020 we know what happened then that was on  the pandemic kicked off bitcoin at 5 000. price  

dropped 50 in early 2020 losing 25 and 24 hours  with pandemic starting there you go so july 20  

27 2020 bitcoin doubled price to almost eleven  thousand dollars it recovered after the pandemic  

crash and by november 30th 2020 bitcoin was at 19  850 which was an all-time high so that was just  

six seven eight months after the pandemic kicked  off it jumped right up to almost 20 grand but  

by january 2021 bitcoin doubled 41 000 almost 42  000 incredible in a span of two months it doubled  

and we're not talking doubled from one thousand  two thousand talking from twenty thousand to  

forty thousand that's that's huge huge and  then started pulling back in in january 2021  

it seemed to thirty three thousand by february  2021 we are at 44 000. and that was a bitcoin  

price surge after elon musk and tesla announced uh  investing into bitcoin and accepting it as payment  

remember that so february 16 2021  bitcoin hits 50 grand bitcoin price  

reached alt all new all time high of 50 000 so  april 10 2021 60 000 bitcoin back above 60 as  

coinbase gets ready to go public on the stock  market april 14 2021 64 800 unreal the all-time  

high price of 64 800 was reached on april 14th  2021 then a month later bitcoin down to 30 000. um  

following suggestions that tesla has sold or  will sell its bitcoin holdings and a new set of  

regulations from the chinese government to support  their cryptocurrency crackdown china has banned  

bitcoin so many times so many times it's just  it's a given it's normal now september 2nd 2021  

bitcoin back up again 50 128 bitcoin recovered  to its 50 000 point october 17 2021 bitcoins  

62 600. bitcoin price returned near its all-time  high october 20 six 2021 nine hundred seventy four  

dollars and seventy seven cents bitcoin hits its  all-time price above the sixty six thousand mark  

all time price all-time high price so january  twenty second twenty twenty two thirty down to  

thirty five thousand so from october to january  it dives almost 50 percent from its all-time highs  

to below 35 000. all right we're getting  closer to uh nowadays so may 12th 2022  

[ __ ] just over a month ago bitcoin tumbles down  to twenty five thousand four hundred one dollars  

following the tara luna crash in may 2022 bitcoin  reached its lowest level since december 2020  

traders sees a discounted bitcoin to  uh boy the price around the 30 000 mark  

now june 13 2022 bitcoin falls to twenty two  thousand six hundred and one bitcoins bitcoin slid  

to twenty two thousand as celsius network froze  withdrawals and transfers transfers citing extreme  

conditions so and then today being june 18 2022  bitcoin at 18 900 which it was actually lower  

to 15 18 600 earlier today so so bitcoin  broke 19 000 to trade at levels below its  

2017 highs all right so let's just eyeball quickly  where we stand right now we're bouncing back  

though bitcoin went to as low as oh i thought it  was 17 000 uh 18732 according to this chart i was  

wrong with six okay and we're bouncing back to  nineteen thousand and forty six dollars so we'll  

see what happens is it's just uh an odd pullback  we'll see we've been talking about bitcoin  

breaking the twenty thousand mark for for quite  some time this is a one hour chart by the way not  

the day chart so we'll flip it over to the d chart  real quick reset this and see where we stand so  

as you know a few days ago people did  some shopping bought a lot of bitcoin but  

now it's like red and green it's either heavier  on the saline or heavier on the body and every  

other day it switches up so we'll see what happens  we'll see what happens some people say bitcoin go  

lower i don't know i'm hoping that we get to the  bottom you literally get to the bottom of this so  

we can start turning this thing around and people  can get excited again about crypto and we'll see
