[76]
This first team is probably going to be most surprising one in the list because its none
[80]
other than Yoimiya leading the charge together with Raiden.
[84]
What could go wrong when two characters with their own controversial pasts start working
[88]
together?
[89]
Well, as it turns out – the results are actually quite surprising thanks to the newly
[93]
introduced Specters into the current Abyss rotation and the sustained damage also works
[97]
really well against the dreadful Mechanical Array.
[100]
And what’s even cooler, causing Overloads against these enemies isn’t a big deal since
[104]
they won’t get knockbacked, so even getting some elemental mastery on your Raiden’s
[109]
artifact rolls is going to be a happy accident.
[111]
What’s also great is that one of the biggest drawbacks with Yoimiya and other characters
[115]
like Childe or Hu Tao who rely on their elemental skills is that once the cooldown starts ticking,
[121]
this is the perfect time to bring in Raiden’s sword mode and restart the rotation.
[125]
Now the most popular team composition consists of Zhongli and Xingqiu which isn’t a huge
[130]
surprise, although it is quite important to note that Xingqiu has an expensive burst cost
[135]
of 80 which is exactly what Raiden needs when building up her Resolve since the other two
[139]
team mates aren’t willing to put in the work.
[141]
And when it comes to equipment, Engulfing Lightning and The Catch are the two most popular
[145]
weapon choices for Raiden but what’s even more dominant is how many people are running
[150]
the full set of Emblem of Severed Fate so for a character that’s considered complex,
[154]
the equipment choices are pretty clear.
[156]
And when looking at the rest of the team mates, Yoimiya’s weapon choices are pretty slim
[161]
with people either opting for Thundering Pulse or Rust while the artifact set that’s getting
[166]
the most attention is the Reminiscence 4-piece set followed by its 2-set bonus combined with
[171]
Crimson Witch but its clear you need the 4-set bonus if you have Thundering Pulse and want
[175]
to maintain its passive.
[177]
At least Zhongli as always is perfectly content with Black Tassel, Deathmatch or Favonius
[182]
Lance while Archaic Petra 4-set remains as a top choice, which is especially great for
[187]
helping to boost that Pyro or Electro damage but there are few percentages of players instead
[192]
using a combination of 2-set Noblesse and Archaic Petra or Tenacity of Milelith.
[197]
Finally for the bookworm, everyone seems to be still fixated on using Sacrificial Sword
[202]
on him, even when Raiden is here to help out with his energy issues so if you don’t have
[206]
the sword, you can still use Favonius or even a more offensive weapon to increase his damage
[210]
output.
[211]
And as for his artifacts – for better damage it’s the mix of 2-sets between Noblesse
[215]
and Heart of Depth but Emblem of Severed Fate is a slight upgrade depending if you have
[219]
good substats but in reality, the other popular option is to actually use 4-piece Noblesse
[224]
set.
[225]
Honestly, none of this is surprising and just goes to show that even when you play a duo
[229]
like Yoimiya and Raiden, the rest of the high value team mates still bring the same loadouts.
[233]
But it’s still great to see both of these characters working together and it just goes
[238]
to show how much an influence a change in the Abyss rotation can have for popular teams.
[243]
There’s no better feeling when you can take your ultimate showcasing team and actually
[248]
use it outside of those few glorious seconds when trying to capture the highest damage
[252]
number.
[253]
This is also a composition that heavily relies on how much you’ve invested into Raiden
[257]
because those buffs she will be getting have a pretty significant relationship with her
[261]
own power level.
[262]
So, here’s how the team works – you’ve got Kujou Sara and Bennett with their attack
[266]
buffs while Kazuha plays a crucial role of shredding enemy’s resistance, increasing
[271]
team’s electro DMG and grouping those suckers for Raiden’s burst pumped full of steroids.
[276]
Like seriously, you will feel the significance of each and every resource you put into Raiden.
[281]
But this is also where the public outcry comes from the huge power gap between 0 and 3 constellations.
[286]
However, it doesn’t mean this comp is weak with a C0 Raiden and in fact, Abyss usage
[292]
statistics suggests that players don’t really because unless you are absolutely dedicated
[297]
as a light spender or free to play player, realistically you’ll always just go for
[301]
the unlock itself not additional constellations where they are reserved for baiting the whales
[305]
in the most literal sense.
[307]
Now for alternative team mates, the only reasonable one would be Lisa substituting for Kujou Sara
[313]
by using Thrilling Tales of the Dragon Slayers to simulate a similar yet inferior ATK boost
[318]
version for Raiden but on the flipside, the librarian does decrease enemy’s DEF by 15%
[324]
when using her burst and she actually can deal significant amount of damage if you choose
[328]
to invest into her.
[329]
And let’s not forget she could also use 4-set Noblesse to provide even more value.
[334]
It’s also important to note Kujou Sara without her 2nd constellation is cumbersome without
[338]
her burst when trying to apply that attack boost, which is something to keep in mind
[342]
if you instead decide to go for Lisa.
[345]
Now for the equipment, it’s pretty easy to make decisions for Kazuha because all you
[349]
need is an Iron Sting which the majority of players are using as the data suggests, while
[353]
the stronger choice of course would be the Freedom Sworn with a very small percentage
[357]
of people opting for either Sacrificial or Favonius swords.
[361]
And obviously he needs to have 4-piece Viridescent Venerer on him.
[365]
Now for Benny Boy, just slap onto him a sword with highest base attack unless of course
[369]
you’ve managed to get your hands onto Festering Desire way back when it was available, since
[374]
that’s what a lot of players use.
[375]
And as for Sara, she’s in a very similar situation as Bennett, you want a bow with
[379]
high base ATK and as the statistics show, anyone who has Skyward Harp gives it to her
[384]
while her second option is Sacrificial Bow, mainly acting as dumb stat stick which provides
[389]
nice base attack and good energy recharge from the substat.
[392]
Otherwise it’s Favonius Bow coming in third which everyone has at least 1 copy of.
[397]
Now there is a choice that needs to be made and that is the responsibility of who will
[401]
be the bearer of Noblesse artifact set since both Benny and Sara can fulfill this role,
[406]
however, it does seem like the majority of people had decided to give Emblem of Severed
[410]
Fate to Sara while Benny does the whole thing with Noblesse, which kind of makes sense since
[414]
in the rotation, he is the second one to go after Raiden’s initial elemental skill.
[419]
Either way, this is definitely a team that turns Raiden’s Sword mode into fun mode
[424]
from the amount of big numbers you’ll see flying off in all directions.
[427]
It looks like whenever there’s talks about strong team builds, Hu Tao always uses the
[433]
chance to flex her powerful nickname composition.
[436]
Well, calling this her composition would be a stretch since she heavily relies on both
[440]
Xingqiu and Zhongli to keep her alive and help her produce Vaporize on charged attacks
[445]
so only 1 spot is left open and this is where Raiden comes in by offering some great benefits
[450]
for this team build that’s been quite popular in the Abyss meta since Hu Tao first debuted.
[455]
First of all, it’s no secret anybody who plays Hu Tao can agree she sometimes has issues
[459]
with her own energy burst uptime, so having Electro Archon help out with this is pretty
[464]
significant not to mention there’s always going to be that cooldown you need to wait
[468]
out on her Elemental Skill, so this leaves with a perfect opening for Raiden to use her
[473]
own Burst.
[474]
Also, because of the way Electro-charged works, both Hydro and Electro co-exist and quite
[479]
often when combining Xingqiu’s Swords with Raiden’s elemental skill, Hu Tao will cause
[484]
both Overload and Vaporize so this helps with maintaining consistency and not lose out too
[489]
much on overall damage performance.
[491]
Still, the infamous knockback from Overload will work against you when facing off certain
[496]
enemies so your mileage may vary depending on which floor you’re at but luckily, in
[501]
a place that is filled with Specters who could care less about knockbacks this isn’t much
[505]
of an issue, hence why there’s probably also a surge of increased usage for this team
[509]
comp on this particular side of the floor.
[511]
Now for the loadouts, what’s been said on Yoimiya’s comp pretty much applies here
[515]
the same way to Xingqiu and Zhongli while Hu Tao’s top three weapon choices based
[520]
on usage statistics are Staff of Homa, Deathmatch and Dragon’s Bane and most dominant artifact
[526]
set on her is 4-set Crimson Witch followed by a small percentage of people using 2 Set
[530]
combo of Wanderer’s Troupe and Crimson Witch as a budget alternative.
[535]
Keep in mind these are just popular picks and you could still go for something like
[538]
Blackcliff Pole if you haven’t got the other weapons.
[541]
But that’s pretty much it, it’s a nice and simple composition that doesn’t leave
[544]
much room for alternative picks unless some new character comes out with a great hydro
[549]
application or a beefy shield.
[551]
Or you could decide to kick out Raiden from the team and add someone else instead of her
[555]
but that would probably hurt Ei’s feelings…
[558]
It didn’t take long for the most obvious team comp to become widely used throughout
[562]
the Abyss and for a good reason too.
[565]
Previously Eula’s biggest hurdle was her burst’s cost so Diona along with a Sacrificial
[569]
Bow was her ideal duo partner but now that Raiden is able to supplement those energy
[574]
needs, the team got redefined quite drastically.
[577]
What’s also important to understand about this whole composition is that both Eula and
[581]
Raiden share a significant chunk of their time on the field unlike previously where
[585]
it was basically just the vengeful lady doing all the fighting - but the point is – this
[590]
comp truly feels refreshing when sharing the hyper damage dealer responsibility between
[594]
two characters.
[595]
However, because of the amount of time it takes to pull of these rotations, misplaying
[600]
will be costly and bouncing back from it can be especially devastating against enemies
[604]
that have invincibility frames or happen to be very mobile, so imagine how painful it
[609]
can be to miss that Lightfall sword explosion or Raiden’s initial burst slash.
[614]
But on the bright side – sustained damage is still pretty exciting, since you can fallback
[618]
to Eula’s physical attacks and cause easy Superconducts thanks to Raiden’s elemental
[622]
skill.
[623]
Now, for the most popular configurations – you’ll often see the trinity of Rosaria, Eula and
[628]
the Electro Archon herself while the last team mate remains as a flexible choice but
[633]
most of the time its Zhongli or Bennett showing up with their godlike presence.
[637]
Now this doesn’t mean Diona is entirely replaceable since because of the current Ley
[641]
Line Disorder on Floor 11, you pretty much got no other choice than to run together with
[646]
the catgirl.
[647]
Also, another great thing about Diona is that she can relieve Zhongli from defensive duties
[652]
and you can run another strong sub damage dealer in the team.
[655]
And as for the most exciting part – the equipment choices are all pretty much straightforward
[659]
– Eula’s two most popular weapon picks are either Wolf’s Gravestone or Song of
[663]
Broken Pines with Serpent Spine as the next candidate in line and there’s a healthy
[668]
divide between either running a full set of Pale Flame or its 2 set bonus along with Bloodstained
[673]
Chivalry.
[674]
For Rosaria, it’s either Favonius Lance or Deathmatch depending on your energy needs
[679]
and then either a full set of Noblesse Oblige which is highly recommended but if you can’t
[683]
afford that then it’s the 2 set bonus mixed with along with Blizzard Strayer.
[686]
And if you decide to go for Diona, then a refined Sacrificial Bow is the choice of the
[691]
people although you can also use Favonius but you definitely want to run a full set
[695]
of Noblesse as the usage stats suggest themselves.
[699]
All in all, this is definitely one of the easiest team choices you’ll ever go for
[703]
if you have Eula unlocked since not only does it offer quite a lot flexibility thanks to
[708]
Raiden’s help but it just so happens you don’t have to pick between other high demand
[712]
units or at least not all of them.
[716]
At this point, it doesn’t take much to recognize one of the most popular team comps in the
[721]
entire game and it just so happens that Raiden works extremely well with it.
[725]
This of course is the National team that’s been known to be a composition that brings
[729]
salvation to F2P players while also managing to keep the whales entertained with expensive
[735]
5-star weapons and constellations.
[737]
Now before players adapted Raiden to this team comp, you’d usually see in her place
[741]
either Sucrose who buffed the team’s elemental mastery and provided awesome resistance shred
[746]
as well as some moderate grouping OR it was the popsicle boy who sprinkled some freeze
[750]
and cryo infusions into the mix.
[752]
But that’s all in the past or at least if you own Raiden.
[755]
This comp has soared in the usage statistics and now dominates most of the Abyss thanks
[760]
to its several strong advantages.
[763]
The first and most important strength is that the often seen complaint about Raiden’s
[767]
potential locked behind constellations isn’t that drastic when used in this team since
[772]
her damage or at least her field time isn’t just her doing all the work but everyone contributing
[776]
to it together.
[777]
It’s an extremely flexible team playstyle and only Raiden truly needs to have some dedicated
[782]
time to unleash her burst so a misplay won’t be the end of your rotation.
[786]
Obviously, the other big thing is Xingqiu’s and Xiangling’s burst costs that help build
[792]
Raiden’s resolve faster which in return allows her to refund those empty bars with
[796]
lots of energy from her sword mode.
[798]
Still, for some drawbacks, you’d be a fool if you tried to put someone else into this
[802]
team so the composition itself is pretty much set in stone and you can’t really afford
[807]
alternative team mates not to mention you have to rely on everyone’s quickswapping
[810]
capabilities which means you have to have resources invested into them.
[815]
Luckily, since these 3 legendary friends are known to be some of the most popular choices
[819]
in team building, it’s quite likely they will already have their weapons, artifacts
[822]
and talents prepared.
[824]
Speaking of which, the equipment choices have been covered in previous teams and the only
[828]
one left that we could talk about is Xiangling.
[831]
Now for her weapons, previously the most popular pick especially in National comp was Dragon’s
[836]
Bane but if you happen to have Engulfing Lighting on Raiden then you can easily give The Catch
[840]
to the chef because it provides her with the much needed Energy Recharge which you still
[844]
have to have at least 140% give or take depending how well you can perfect the rotation and
[850]
what enemies you’re going up against but the other big thing is obviously going to
[853]
be the passive itself which works really well on her.
[856]
Now for her artifacts, it seems like Emblem of Severed Fate and Crimson Witch are the
[861]
most popular picks, which is interesting because even if Emblem set provides a slightly better
[865]
edge in a lot of scenarios, not a lot of people are willing to spend their resin on a new
[869]
set for Xiangling if they already had Crimson Witch on her not to mention you have to worry
[873]
about getting decent pieces of Emblem set on Raiden herself.
[877]
But that’s basically National Electro Archon team in a nutshell.
[881]
This is currently a composition a lot of players have chosen to use for the newest Abyss rotation
[885]
which can easily clear any side of the chamber and any floor giving you a lot of freedom
[890]
when using the second team.
[892]
Instead of the usual character build you would expect to see, it just didn’t really make
[895]
much sense to create one because in all honesty - you don’t need 10 minutes explaining the
[900]
obvious build everybody is going for since you basically have one superb artifact set
[905]
and a couple of polearm choices.
[906]
So, why not explore what everyone else is building and give you a better idea how to
[911]
compose a cohesive team together with Raiden since we are using 3 more characters and quite
[915]
often a composition or even a single character can affect another one’s build which is
[920]
precisely why it’s best to look at Raiden from team building perspective.
