[30]

[36]
in order for you to see some results. So

[56]

[58]
And subscribe. Bye. A whole
[60]
lot more videos coming out that you're not
[63]
going to want to miss. So let's
[65]
Jump Right In. Now in my previous
[68]
videos. I talked about how to get
[70]
those negative collection items deleted
[73]
from your credit report, you know, those
[75]
items that are like keeping you in the
[76]
500s, when you're like, trying to buy
[79]
a house and you're trying
[81]
to get your credit on track, like those
[83]
accounts. That just won't go away. I
[85]
talked about that in my last video. So
[88]
as a follow-up to To getting those collection
[91]
accounts removed from your credit
[93]
report. I want to tell you some of
[95]
the biggest mistakes that I've been seeing
[98]
people do. That is costing you big
[100]
time. The first
[103]
mistake that most people make is,
[107]
they choose to be difficult
[110]
and they want to dispute everything
[113]
online people. I've said
[115]
it before disputing. By mail is
[118]
the most efficient way to It a negative
[120]
collection account removed When
[123]
you dispute something online, you're basically
[125]
giving up your rights to Arbors arbitration, your
[127]
also agreeing to a three-day dispute process,
[130]
which pretty much means that you're agreeing
[133]
to let a computer scan your
[135]
dispute and ultimately give you results
[138]
which most times they're going to come
[139]
back verified. Now, I've talked
[141]
to you about why using mail
[144]
to do your disputes with your handwritten letters,
[147]
why that's the most efficient way if
[149]
that doesn't It makes sense to you or
[150]
you don't remember go back and watch the
[152]
previous videos. So
[155]
don't make that mistake. Again, always dispute
[158]
by mail. Now the
[161]
second mistake that I'm seeing people make
[163]
is your sometimes doing pay
[166]
for deletions. Now, I've already
[168]
explained in the previous video,
[171]
why it's not necessary to do a
[173]
pay for deletion when you're paying
[175]
to have an account deleted from your credit
[177]
report. However, if you To throw
[180]
away money, then you want to make
[182]
sure that you at least get it in writing
[185]
that the company intends on removing
[188]
that- collection account
[190]
from your credit report. If you agree
[192]
to pay for something many people are
[195]
paying down accounts. They're paying
[197]
our balances that are in collections
[200]
and they're still seeing it on their credit
[202]
report. This is not going
[204]
to help you. The account needs to be
[206]
completely removed in order
[208]
for you to see any type of Of credit score
[211]
increases. So, if
[213]
you're going to take that route, which
[215]
I don't recommend always get it in writing.
[217]
First, and my previous
[219]
videos, I talked about why collection fees
[222]
are typically illegal in Most
[224]
states. And why if you have
[227]
an account on your credit report,
[229]
that has like those extra collection
[232]
fees attached to it, that usually
[235]
will be enough for you to dispute it
[237]
and get the entire account removed.
[240]
Um because those collection fees are
[242]
illegal and they generally invalidate the
[244]
account. So go back and watch my other
[246]
videos. I explain more about that. The
[249]
next thing that I'm seeing people
[252]
do even when they mail
[254]
in their letters, they're not
[257]
using signature confirmation or
[259]
delivery confirmation people.
[262]
I understand it when you mail in a
[264]
letter it only cost maybe like 50
[267]
cents to mail that letter off and
[269]
you You want to just mail it off and
[272]
wait to hear back. However,
[275]
I always tell you to do
[278]
the signature confirmation because you
[280]
want to have proof that someone
[282]
has actually gotten your letter and
[285]
has opened it up and signature confirmation
[288]
through UPS or through
[290]
FedEx, or whoever you use
[292]
for your postage services, that
[295]
is going to be your proof that someone
[298]
actually got your letter. Versus
[300]
someone at the credit bureaus saying, oh,
[302]
we never got a letter from this person must
[305]
have gotten lost in the mail. So you
[307]
always want to have that paper trail attached
[310]
to anything that you send a
[312]
credit bureau, especially when you're disputing
[315]
something. Alright, so
[317]
the next mistake that I often
[320]
see people make is
[323]
sometimes when we dispute
[325]
things, you guys may
[328]
not realize it, but but sending
[330]
one dispute letter to just one
[333]
credit bureau is not efficient.
[336]
None of the credit bureaus share information,
[339]
TransUnion, Equifax and Experian
[341]
are all independently operated
[344]
into T's. They don't cross reference
[346]
information. So if you dispute it something
[349]
with TransUnion that happens
[351]
to also appear on your Experian
[354]
and Equifax credit reports,
[357]
they even if one delete
[359]
something Bet isn't going to automatically
[361]
make the other to fall in line because again,
[364]
they don't share information. So you
[366]
want to make. Sure if something is showing
[368]
up under all three credit bureaus
[370]
that you're sending three individual
[373]
letters, three separate letters and
[375]
I have the addresses also down below. I
[377]
have them in my templates. If you don't
[379]
want to take notes for any of this. I've
[381]
made it easy for you. I put together a
[382]
template with all of this information in
[384]
it. And also
[387]
the address is so make sure that
[389]
you're sending In separate letters and
[391]
don't just assume that the companies are
[393]
going to all do the same thing every
[395]
now and then you might have to dispute something
[398]
multiple times multiple months.
[401]
And so that's why it's important to
[402]
not assume that sending one letter
[405]
is all it takes like you have to
[407]
do the work. So the
[410]
next thing that
[412]
I am seeing people do sometimes,
[416]
one of the other biggest mistakes that
[417]
you can make is to, Dispute
[420]
something in the mail with the credit bureau
[423]
and the letter that they send
[425]
you back, says that the items you're disputing
[428]
are verified and then you throw in the
[430]
towel. Then you just completely give up,
[433]
please don't do this. There have
[435]
been times where I've had to dispute something
[438]
multiple times. If you dispute something
[440]
the first time and it comes back verified.
[442]
All you have to do is write a follow-up
[445]
letter. That says, I
[448]
would like to know what was The
[450]
method of verification that
[453]
you used in order to verify
[456]
the accounts listed below, that's going
[458]
to be your follow-up letter for anything that
[460]
comes back verified. Again you're using
[463]
mail to do this and you're going to
[465]
put delivery confirmation and signature confirmation
[468]
on it. Going to spend an extra five dollars
[471]
to create a paper trail. So
[474]
this will start the dispute
[476]
process again, and
[479]
it's also I'm going to force that person
[481]
to show you how they verified it. Dances
[483]
are, they can't. They're getting thousands
[485]
of letters a day. It's like almost impossible
[487]
for them. To show you how something was
[489]
verified and so usually they just go
[491]
ahead and throw in the towel when they're
[492]
just like, will delete it. We can't
[494]
show you that. We don't have that information.
[496]
So make sure that you don't
[498]
just get stopped in your tracks because something
[501]
comes back verified, like, don't
[503]
give up so easily. So,
[506]
let's see. The
[508]
other thing that I wanted to talk to
[511]
you guys about was
[514]
the six parts that you need
[516]
to make sure your dispute letter has.
[519]
So I'm just going to fly through these
[521]
things because again, I've talked about
[523]
them in previous videos. I also
[525]
have the templates available for you.
[528]
So we're just going to fly through these
[529]
things. The first part of your dispute letter
[532]
should always have number one, your personal
[534]
information. So at the top, you want to
[536]
always list out your name, your address, your
[538]
date of birth, and It may be the last
[541]
four digits of your Social Security number
[544]
just for like identifying purposes.
[547]
So that's just, you know, the
[549]
basics listed out the
[552]
second part that you want to always
[554]
ensure that you have in your letter is
[557]
an opening, dispute statement.
[560]
All this says and put something like hey,
[563]
I intend to dispute the below
[566]
items that you're going to list out.
[568]
It's very simple. It doesn't have to
[569]
be Anything fast you just fancy.
[572]
You just want to ensure that
[574]
you're telling them at the top of the
[575]
letter that this is a dispute letter.
[578]
That you're disputing the items within
[580]
that letter. So the third part
[583]
that you want to make sure is listed
[585]
in each one of your letters for each credit
[587]
bureau, is the account information
[591]
for the account that you're disputing. So
[592]
you want to make sure you list out the
[594]
company name, along with the
[596]
associated account number as it
[599]
appears. Is on your credit report, you
[601]
want to be very specific and very
[603]
accurate about what you're actually disputing.
[606]
You can't just say, hey, I want to dispute
[608]
everything on my credit report because then
[610]
you're going to be treated as someone
[613]
that is submitting a frivolous claim
[615]
or frivolous dispute. Your disputes
[618]
can be tossed. Your accounts can be
[620]
your name. Essentially can be flagged, so
[622]
you don't want to do that. I just said,
[624]
if you're going to dispute anything, do
[626]
not dispute. More than five items.
[630]
Per month, 5
[632]
is the max. And if you don't have five
[634]
items to dispute, then obviously, when
[637]
it comes to your collection accounts, you
[638]
only dispute the number of collection accounts
[640]
that are on your credit report, but 5
[643]
is the max per month. The
[646]
next thing that you want to include in.
[647]
Your letter is What's called the fcr
[650]
loss statement that basically says, hey
[652]
if you cannot verify these items,
[655]
I need you to delete these
[658]
items according to the f. ER, late
[660]
if CR a laws.
[665]
I also put that little statement down
[667]
below for you guys. It's convenient. It's
[669]
also in my templates, but basically, you
[672]
want to remind them again that you are
[674]
disputing these things and because you're
[675]
disputing them, if they're not gone
[678]
in 30 days of that investigation,
[681]
that they need to be deleted.
[684]
So we're just letting people know that,
[685]
we know the law, we know our rights and
[689]
the next When you sign
[691]
your letter, do not put it in Carson,
[695]
print your name at the bottom. The
[698]
reason why I forbid you from
[700]
using cursive is because as far as
[702]
the verification process goes, you don't
[704]
want to sign something. And
[707]
basically have it used as, like evidence
[709]
against you, where they say. Oh,
[712]
we have this signature on this letter. We're
[714]
going to match it to some signature
[717]
on a collection account
[719]
that they They have let's not make it
[721]
easy for them. You want to make them work?
[723]
So you don't want to give them any clearer,
[726]
you know, indicators of, you know,
[729]
verification or anything like that.
[731]
So and print your name
[734]
do not sign it in. The last
[736]
thing which I think is the most important thing
[739]
and that's why I'm going to emphasize it
[740]
again is signature
[743]
confirmation, delivery confirmation.
[746]
It looks like this people.
[748]
Okay, it Just like an extra five
[751]
or six bucks at your local post office.
[753]
It may be the same amount if
[756]
you go through UPS or FedEx. However,
[758]
this is your paper trail. This is your
[760]
proof for if you dispute
[763]
something and it comes back verified.
[766]
Then you're going to ask for the method
[768]
of verification and you don't ever
[771]
want those letters that you're sending
[774]
to get lost in the mail.
[776]
You always want to have a paper trail and
[779]
if you You ever had to like take
[781]
the credit bureau to pour or like threatened
[784]
to report them to
[787]
the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau.
[789]
You want to include a copy of that in
[791]
your complaint that says, hey I have disputed
[794]
this twice now. And
[797]
this was the date that the dispute started,
[799]
because this is the date that shows, it
[800]
was delivered, and they never
[803]
verified those items. And they fail
[805]
to delete those items from
[807]
my credit report. So if you ever have
[809]
to Out that cfpb.
[812]
Complaint. You want to be able to show
[814]
like, hey, I have proof that I submitted
[817]
a dispute and they didn't follow,
[820]
you know, the fcra laws or guidelines.
[823]
So people, I really, really
[825]
hope that that helped like clarify
[828]
some mistakes. That some of you may
[831]
have made or some of your friends could
[832]
have made if you're getting ready to
[834]
dispute anything that's in collections,
[838]
then make sure you go back and watch the
[839]
Previous videos that I did on that. And
[843]
