already had a plan to fix this situation

the series that breaks down everyone and

everything in the one-piece world and

today we are going to be examining one

of the most powerful and profoundly
[45]
influential crews to have ever existed

in the series being the red hair pirates
[50]
the red hair pirates are a crew most
[52]
notoriously led by their namesake
[53]
captain redhead shanks and with that
[55]
alone this group immediately has quite
[57]
the pedigree attached to it because mr.
[59]
shanks just so happen to serve as a
[61]
rookie pirate aboard the ORA Jackson
[62]
which was captained by the former pirate
[64]
king gol D Roger and during this time it
[66]
really must be stressed that shanks was
[68]
but a tiny lad who as far as we know was
[70]
part of the crew at the tender age of 9
[72]
years old and would remain with the
[73]
group until Roger disbanded the crew by
[75]
which point shanks was at least 14 one
[77]
year later this boy would go on to
[79]
witness Rogers execution at log town
[80]
throwing the teenager into a pit of
[82]
despair but one that he would indeed
[84]
eventually overcome and he decided that
[86]
he would form his own pirate crew and
[87]
this moment would be the inception of
[89]
the red hair pirates however the first
[91]
piece of evidence we have on their
[92]
activity would come two years down the
[94]
track when alone shanks would arrive at
[96]
sir village in search of a man named
[97]
Nassau whom he asked to join his crew

now this scene would appear to imply
[101]
that yoseop was the first official
[102]
member of the red hair pirates barring
[104]
shanks himself of course but then again
[105]
it could also very well be the case that
[107]
shanks just went to the island alone for
[109]
reasons I guess of course it should be
[111]
noted that yes op is the father of rusev
[113]
who would go on to join the straw hat
[115]
pirates and just swallow here fun fact

at this very moment that shanks was

recruiting us up a certain sheep Butler

on the island was hard at work designing

the going marry the future vessel of

this straw hat pirates but following

this shanks were going to assemble quite

de crew over the years including many

world-renowned names such as

and Beckman a stern level-headed

individual who was said to be the man

with the third highest IQ in all of East

blue however let's be fair here his

competition is not exactly fantastic

because second and third places

allegedly belonged to captain coral and

nami respectively

so east blue does not appear to be well

known for producing wildly intelligent

beings all that often

despite this ben is pretty chill guy at

heart and certainly enjoys drunken

shenanigans with the crew oh and of

course Ben Beckman also has the

distinction of being the first mate of
[158]
the red hair pirates putting him in
[160]
second in command behind only shanks
[162]
himself then there's also lucky Roux a
[163]
very well-rounded individual both
[165]
physically and in terms of personality
[167]
who is most often seen living out
[169]
Luffy's dream of always having a chunk
[171]
of meat in hand to naman Andrew in
[172]
contrast Ben seems to be incapable of
[175]
performing anything less than a
[176]
glaringly wide smile at all times which
[178]
along with his extremely bright taste in
[180]
fashion makes him a definite highlight
[182]
of the crew and generally the life of
[184]
the party

and although Roos exact role in the crew
[186]
is unknown he is designated as an
[188]
officer and as we mentioned before we do
[190]
also have Yas op who serves as the
[191]
sniper of the red hair pirates and
[193]
justice with Rou and Ben he is also an
[195]
officer class member and at this point
[197]
in the story these were the only named
[198]
members of the crew however it should be
[200]
said that the red hair pirates gathered
[201]
a small Legion of trusted members who
[203]
remained and would grow with the group
[205]
from its humble beginnings all the way
[206]
to its utter domination of the Seas and
[208]
I'm sure that one day we will find out
[209]
who these individuals are but that day
[211]
is sadly not quite today speaking of
[214]
seafaring dominance so even at this
[216]
stage the red hair pirates were becoming
[217]
a notorious name all over the world
[219]
which shanks in particular becoming well
[221]
known for his consistent jewels but the
[222]
man who would go on to become the
[223]
world's greatest swordsman jury kill me
[225]
Hawke and these battles were said to
[227]
sent echoes throughout the entirety of
[229]
the grand line however arguably one of
[231]
their greatest impacts on this planet
[233]
would come in the most unlikely of
[234]
places as for reasons currently unknown
[236]
to us the red hair pirates would come to
[237]
spend a year of their lives in East blue
[239]
quite specifically on Dorne Island which
[241]
is where they got to know our series
[242]
protagonists monkey dee Luffy who became
[244]
inspired to pursue the path of piracy
[246]
and even repeatedly begged shanks to
[247]
allow him to join the red hair pirates
[249]
and of course shanks repeatedly denied
[251]
him this opportunity due to Luffy being
[253]
too young which is you know kind of
[255]
hypocritical because when you think
[256]
about it shanks was only two years older
[258]
than Luffy when he was first spotted but
[260]
the barrage of pirates so
[261]
in any case what would follow would be
[263]
an altercation with a man known as Higa
[264]
mother bear and his bandits whom the Red
[266]
Hat pirates are merrily dismissed
[268]
however in the effort to rescue Luffy
[269]
from jicama as well as the Lord of the
[271]
coast shanks would sacrifice his left
[273]
arm although he would go on to consider
[274]
it an investment in the new age even
[276]
leaving Luffy with his straw hat and
[278]
asking the boy to return it to him when
[280]
he became a great pirate thus setting
[282]
the events of one piece as we know it
[283]
into motion and with this the red hair
[285]
pirates left the island and would
[286]
eventually return to the ground line
[288]
where several years after meeting Luffy
[289]
shanks would be approached by a man
[291]
named port caste ace the alleged brother
[293]
of Luffy who wanted to thank shanks
[295]
directly for saving with his life after
[297]
which the red hair pirates did what they
[298]
do best and threw a party and not only
[300]
that but years later once again during
[302]
another one of their famed parties the
[304]
crew would be visited by shanks his old
[305]
rival Drake yummy Hawk who came bearing
[307]
a wanted poster featuring Luffy who had
[309]
just received his very first bounty of
[311]
30 million Berry's now after all of this
[313]
I feel like I may be giving you the
[315]
wrong impression of the bread hair
[316]
pirates as they very much sound like a
[318]
drunken horde but that is only some of
[320]
the time in reality if we could sum up
[322]
the lifestyle of the red hair pirates in
[323]
one quote from The Simpsons it would be
[325]
we work hard we play hard and that work
[328]
would pay dividends as six years before
[330]
the commencement of Lucy's journey
[331]
shanks would become recognized as one of
[333]
the Four Emperors of the sea but the red
[334]
hair pirates expanding their power and
[336]
influence to carve out their own mighty
[338]
claim on this world and furthermore the
[340]
red hair pirates have been playing a
[341]
large role in the background of the
[342]
series specifically in regards to the
[344]
figure of marshal Dee teach who had come
[346]
to be known as Blackbeard
[347]
in fact Blackbeard was the person
[348]
responsible for giving shanks at scar on
[350]
his face which would then be
[352]
incorporated onto the flag of the red
[353]
hair pirates sadly though shanks and his
[355]
group would appear to be the only group
[357]
in the world that was concerned about
[358]
Blackbeard whatsoever as demonstrated
[360]
when shanks sent an envoy to the white
[361]
beard pirates which were the crew that
[363]
had formerly housed Blackbeard this
[365]
envoy his name was Rockstar and we
[367]
haven't spoken about him before now
[368]
because he had only recently joined the
[370]
crew at this point and touted a massive
[372]
bounty of 94 million berries which let's
[375]
be fair that was huge at the time given
[378]
that Luffy's bounty had just ticked over
[379]
to 100 million berries and that kind of
[381]
comparison should tell you quite a lot
[383]
regarding the strength of the red-haired
[384]
pirates the fact that someone like
[386]
Rockstar would be considered a rookie
[387]
speaks volumes about shanks and the
[389]
officers however white beard refused to
[391]
hear Rockstar out claiming that if
[392]
shanks wanted to send him a message then
[394]
he would
[395]
to come in person which eventually he
[397]
did to express concern about Blackbeard
[398]
but this interaction went no better than
[400]
the one with Rockstar as it resulted in
[402]
shanks it might be clashing as well as
[404]
splitting the very sky above them open
[406]
and at this point things were just that
[407]
little bit too late anyway as Blackbeard
[409]
had set into motion a series of events
[411]
that would come to reshape the world
[412]
having captured a snow member of my bits
[414]
crew and prompting white beard to attack
[416]
Marine headquarters in an event known as
[418]
the paramount war now where the white
[419]
bid was only allowed to embark on this
[421]
crusade thanks to the actions of the
[423]
right hair pirates because another one
[424]
of the Four Emperors being Qaeda had
[426]
mustered his forces in an attempt to
[428]
intercept white beard prior to arriving
[429]
at marineford
[430]
and it's unknown at this point exactly
[431]
why Qaeda chose to do this but shanks
[433]
prevented it and allegedly engaged in
[435]
conflict with Qaeda or at least his
[437]
forces it's hard to say what happened
[439]
because we never actually saw the event
[440]
we only really heard little tidbits
[442]
about it and in fact there's quite a few
[443]
different ways that could have played
[444]
out in any case using the sheer power of
[446]
shanks the red hair pirates were
[448]
eventually able to either defeat placate
[450]
or escape the beast pirates and
[451]
afterwards they made immediately for
[453]
marineford however by this time they
[455]
were too late as both white beard and
[457]
ace had been killed in the battle that
[458]
had been raging however this did not
[460]
stop the red hair pirates from becoming
[461]
involved with shanks leaping into
[463]
defensive combat against outro ocarina
[465]
and Ben Beckman going on to threaten out
[467]
monkeys aru
[468]
after this the main force of the red
[469]
hair pirates assembled with shanks
[471]
making the bold declaration that if
[473]
there was anybody who still wanted to
[475]
fight then they would be their opponents
[477]
to which the world government the
[478]
remnants of the white beard pirates and
[479]
the black beard pirates all said no
[481]
thanks we're good and the Paramount wall
[483]
was brought to an abrupt end then being
[485]
mostly honourable fellows they are the
[487]
red hair pirates assisted the piped
[488]
pirates in their retreat from the Marine
[490]
base as well as arrangements for the
[492]
burial of both white beard and ace as
[494]
for the next major conflict well it's
[496]
another one of those on-the-scene events
[497]
because the red hair pirates are
[499]
fantastic at operating in the background
[500]
of this series however during the
[502]
two-year time skip they would come to
[503]
fight against a member of the worst
[504]
generation being used as kid which let's
[507]
just say things did not go well for mr.
[509]
kid and it would even cost him a left
[510]
arm which funnily enough is the same arm
[512]
that shanks himself lost all those years
[514]
ago while saving Luffy this outcome did
[516]
not settle matters oh and kid would go
[518]
on to form an alliance with other
[519]
members of the worst generation with the
[521]
goal of taking down the red hair pirates
[523]
although that Alliance didn't work out
[525]
kid either due to a spot of the old
[526]
betrayal but to this day he still holds
[529]
a powerful vendetta against both shanks
[531]
and the red hair pirates and as for
[533]
their next experience the red hair
[535]
pirates would be featured on a cover
[536]
story where they were seen attending the
[538]
wedding of an unknown individual and
[539]
reacting to the then-new bounties of the
[541]
straw hats however since then only
[543]
shanks has been seen in the modern time
[544]
line which was at the conclusion of
[546]
hoecake Island in finding himself in a
[548]
most unlikely spot on the holy land of
[550]
marsh WA requesting an audience with the
[552]
five Elba stars in order to discuss a
[554]
certain pirate so more fun facts about
[556]
the red hair pirates the flagship vessel
[558]
of the red hair pirates is a mighty
[559]
beast known as the bred force which we
[561]
haven't seen very much of at this stage
[562]
however it should be noted that this is
[564]
not the same ship that the crew were
[565]
using when they were stationed on dawn
[567]
island which was a much more simple
[568]
vessel so it's some stage between then
[570]
and now the red hat pirates upgraded to
[572]
this beast of a ship while the red hat
[574]
pirates are certainly the Emperor
[575]
faction that we know by far the least
[576]
amount we do have confirmation that like
[578]
most Emperor's they do control their
[580]
fair share of individual territory
[581]
within the new world which was confirmed
[583]
during Bartolome his portion of the
[585]
grand fleet cover story when he arrived
[586]
on one of their islands and promptly
[588]
burned the flag of the red hair pirates
[589]
replacing it with that of the straw hat
[591]
pirates oh and he also forcibly sold the
[593]
townsfolk a wide variety of straw hat
[595]
merchandise much to their extreme shock
[597]
and perpetual terror interestingly
[599]
enough in a strange alternate reality it
[601]
is entirely possible the buggy could
[603]
have been a member of the breadhead
[604]
pirates because he was actually the very
[605]
first person shanks invited to join the
[607]
crew but buggy being buggy refused this
[609]
offer outright and of course would go on
[611]
to have his own let's say relatively
[613]
successful pirating career in an
[615]
extraordinarily rare set of
[617]
circumstances for the one piece world
[618]
the red hair pirates appear to be the
[620]
only collective considered an emperor
[622]
level force that does not have any devil
[624]
fruit users within it or at the very
[625]
least at this stage there are no
[627]
confirmed devil fruit users amongst them
[629]
that could very easily change in the
[630]
future
[630]
as more as revealed about them despite
[632]
being a primarily background presence in
[634]
the lifespan of one piece the influence
[636]
of the red hat pirates has actually
[637]
spread into the real world as their
[638]
Jolly Roger was even adopted by the
[640]
Japanese Coast Guard in an exercise
[642]
where they were pretending to be a
[643]
pirate vessel and finally a truly
[645]
useless fact just in case it wasn't
[647]
obvious enough from their roles in the
[648]
series the way to distinguish an officer
[650]
rank member of the breadhead pirates is
[652]
that they each come adorned in a
[653]
personalized cape generally imitating
[655]
their senpai shanks although yoseob's is
[657]
fairly you
[658]
with all the stars and everything plus
[660]
he seems to prefer having it tied up so
[662]
getting conclusion capes are cool and
[664]
don't you even trying to deny it but
[666]
that pretty much does it for the red
[667]
