i'm gonna try to keep a straight face as i  read this number 10 vladimir vladimir borisov  

kramnik two million dollars from 2000 to 2006  vladimir borisov kramnik was the classical world

maybe one to two is my guess i mean that's just  my guess probably one to two just to guess i have

rajbob um and teamwork is one person on here  where it's significantly higher um so teamwork  

is probably i want to say at least like four  or five x four or five x what is listed here so  

significantly higher for teamwork um judith polgar  is number five at five very hard to judge i think  

this also might be pretty close to correct on  her but i i don't honestly have a good idea um  

it might be a little bit lower hard to judge  that's my guess um why is teamwork so rich uh

uh gary i don't know if he's i think gary probably  objectively is the second richest chess player  

in terms of like serious chess players probably  second second um second uh second second on this

like 50 million it's just a guess um that's that's  my guess for gary maybe it's more i don't know but  

that's my guess um for gary magnus uh very hard  to judge magnus i mean it's definitely higher  

than eight it's hard to judge how high because  again i think a significant chunk of that is  

probably in um probably in chess 24 stock which  is publicly traded so i mean it depends how you  

want to value that but this is definitely  more i would say for magnus it's probably  

i mean if i take a rough estimate of like three  million a year or something that he makes i would  

say probably i would say it's probably like two  and a half x that's my guess i would say it's  

two and a half x i'm gonna say it's like two and  a half and it's probably about 20 million that's  

that's my guess two and a half x uh fabiano is  um probably definitely not worth 13 million um  

fabian was probably i have no idea i would say two  or three million no real no real idea but that's  

my guess um that's just my guess no idea and of  course i'm not number one i'm significantly less i  

won't give an exact figure obviously because a lot  of my stuff is tied up in in the stock market um  

but it's it's at least at least it's at least um  it's at least 45 million less at least if not more  

um so let's leave it at that so so that's what i  would say um at least at least uh now what i will  

add to this figure as well is when i said gary is  the number number two number two richest person  

they conveniently leave off one other person um  they leave off one other person who is uh who's  

made a lot of money which is anatoly karpov  anatoly karpov in my opinion is probably the  

richest chess player of all time um and the reason  for that is twofold first of all he was he was the  

favorite of soviet union when he was world  champion for for uh for for that like almost  

15-year period i would say that's the first reason  um secondly secondly what i would say is that  

additionally um karpov i believe again i don't  know if it's a true story but i heard that i've  

heard this from multiple people that he he owned  a country house or a villa or whatever and it was  

sitting on top of a natural gas deposit so because  of that um because of that alone he also is uh uh  

he he definitely is is the richest by a big margin  is my understanding um so so that's that's that's  

my understanding as far as it goes but this is a  fun article to read you guys i enjoyed it i hope
