in San Francisco and I had a minute to

get with Jared James and talked to him
about his seven daily non-negotiables

and really what I did is I threw him a
curveball make sure you stick around and

18th thank you so much for being here so

I'm here with my buddy Jared and we're
talking about the seven things that you

should be doing daily and I'm going to
put you on the spot but he doesn't know

the question I'm gonna ask we were
literally just eating and you're like oh

yeah
so other other seven things that like

you know the sevens a big number yeah
like if there's two or three

non-negotiables like favorites
non-negotiables of the seven yep

you can say all seven are the seven on
to go yeah I know but I get what you're

going yeah you're going first off just
so you guys know because a lot of you

are in our group whatever you can
download the seven non-negotiables they

are the seven non-negotiables I give it I took
a question for him but literally to do

the seven non-negotiables it'll take
between an hour hour and a half a day

and there's the whole point of them is
that there's nothing more productive you

can be doing right but he didn't ask me
what my favorite is there's a couple of

them one of them isn't actually
something that is like a physical thing

you do it's more of a mentality and that
is that you prioritize the creation of

new business over the management of
existing business because a lot of you
[90]
know especially in real estate we spend
a lot of time managing people who are
[94]
already clients and we're crazy crazy
busy busy doing a lot of transactions

pipe line
yeah and then it is empty we live in a
[101]
world yeah yeah you can have six seven
eight transactions going and you're you
[104]
know go and sizzler yeah you're awesome
whatever and and all of a sudden you
[107]
know everything closes it's the first
month is first day of a new month and

it's tumbleweed there's nothing around
right so number one always prioritize
[114]
the creation of new business over the
management of existing business other
[118]
ones that I love I mean let's just go
simple for a second right so one of the
[122]
seven non-negotiables is ten new
conversations a day that's something
[126]
everyone can do including me
yeah stats say 41
[128]
real estate-related conversations
one transaction right but because we're
[132]
water path of least resistance we work
and we talk to people we want to talk to
[136]
that's right easy that we respond to
them we and yet we are in a business
[139]
where you can either wait for business
you can pay for business or you can go
[142]
make business happen right and one of
the ways you go make business happen is
[145]
just by good old-fashioned conversation
right and so 10 new conversations
[150]
whether it's with your core 100 building
it or maintaining it whether it's with
[153]
past people sphere of influence current
leads prospects that your the
[158]
prospecting that you're doing whatever
it is it's not really that difficult
[160]
when you get outside of your comfort
zone and realize that I can't just wait
[164]
for things to happen I have to make
things happen so 10 new conversations a
[168]
day would be another one of my favorites
and then I'll in with good old faithful

you know the one I always talk about
number one is fuel up yes right

everything we talked about means nothing
if you're not mentally in a good place
[180]
and this industry can be a roller
coaster right I mean it's it's whether
[185]
you're brand new or 40 years in it's a
roller coaster and so you know you can't
[189]
change the output of a broken model
you're trying to you know race you're
[193]
trying to go win a drag race against a
drag race car and you're driving a
[197]
Toyota Prius it's not gonna work and so
when you look at the output of you you
[201]
know what it is you're being asked to do
daily you better make sure that you're a
[204]
race car you got to make sure that
you're spending that time in the morning
[206]
and being grateful and and and thinking
about the things that are ultimately
[210]
gonna give you energy and make sure your
your head on your exercise I think it

makes sort of like you can't change the
output of a broken model so you've got
[216]
to fix yourself first and when you do
that you'll be able to do all seven and
[221]
make sure you go check out all 7s we're
not gonna do all writing today but don't
